Meeting Engagement*
*
In a bold move, US commanders have decided to risk airlanding a Stryker-based assault force behind enemy lines. This will trap Peruvian rebels and hasten victory.*
*
Military loyalists have secured a suitable airfield. Cold Steel troopers are the first in. Thanks to the light armor of the Stryker, it is possible to fly in the entire force by C-130 very quickly. Take the airfield and move across enemy-infested terrain to take two key crossroads villages.*
*
Enemy forces are expected to consist of local infantry units but armored reserves are likely to be scrambled to guard the vulnerable rear areas. Expect stiff resistance as reserve forces are brought to the fight.*
*
Friendly Peruvian artillery is holed up in a nearby fortress and is available to help when necessary. A battery of American 155mm howitzers has also been airlifted to the fortress to provide counter-battery resources. A support wing of Peruvian SU-25's is queued up to provide ground attacks but beware of enemy SAM's to the west.*
*
Marginal or Decisive Victory is necessary to advance.*
*
Game Notes:*
*
The game system does not directly support airlanding a core force. To simulate this, four heavy lift helicopters have been provided to take the place of waves of C-130 transports. The player should only land forces at the airfield.*
