_______Polski Fiat PF-508 Lazik*
*
In 1935, Polish designers developed a military*
variant of licence-manufactured compact car Polski*
Fiat 508 III. The PF-508 III/W Lazik (the name Lazik*
can be translated as: 'rover') had an open 4-seat*
body, adapted to military use. It featured off-road*
tires and some changes in the transmission. In spite*
of 4x2 drive, the car had quite good off-road*
characteristics.*
*
The PF-508 Lazik was a basic field car in Polish*
Army. It is estimated, that up to 1500 were built.*
A similar military Lazik version of larger PF-518*
car was also developed, used by higher commanders.*
