PZL-43 was an export model of PZL-23 Karas light*
bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, produced in PZL*
works for Bulgaria. It had a stronger engine, and*
therefore greater speed.*

36 PZL-43A were sent to Bulgaria during 1939,*
shortly before the outbreak of WWII (what is*
considered an error, with a hindsight).*
Only four remained in Poland by 1 September 1939.*
They were taken over by Polish Air Force, but only*
two were eventually used.*

Max speed 365 km/h.*
Armament: 4 x 7.92mm MGs (2 pilot's, 1 in upper*
and 1 in lower position)*
Up to 700 kg bombs.*
