7.92mm wz.30 HMG (in Polish: ckm - ciezki karabin*
maszynowy) was Polish unlicensed modified copy of*
Colt-Browning M1917A1, owing to lack of patent*
protection.*
*
Polish designers fit the weapon for Mauser ammo,*
lenthened a barrel to 720 mm and increased*
tolerances, what resulted in a very reliable and*
accurate weapon, arguably better than the original.*
*
A tripod for wz.30 HMG was a Polish design, with*
anti-aircraft mast hiden in rear leg. The mast could*
be mounted to the tripod, with the machine gun upon*
it for AA fire. There could be also an additional*
stock mounted.*
*
The wz.30 HMG was a standard machine gun of Polish*
regular infantry from early 1930s, and of cavalry*
from late 1930s.*
