Armoured cars, like Beaverette, Humber AC Mk.II and Mk.III, Daimler AC were used by Polish units organized in Great Britain for training only, since 1941. Their main user was the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment
of the 1st Armoured Division, but it was disbanded in October 1943.*

In Middle East, from May 1942 armoured cars were used for training by Polish Carpathian Lancers Regiment (Pulk Ulanow Karpackich - PUK) in Egypt. It guarded Delta Barrage on the Nile in case of German breakthrough in summer 1942. The Regiment used 15 Marmon-Herrington AC Mk.II and 2 old Rolls-Royce AC. Then it was withdrawn to Iraq, and became a part of Polish 2nd Corps organized there.*

Since late 1942, armoured cars were used in Polish units in Middle East for training: there were Morris LRC and Marmon-Herrington AC Mk.III as standard models, replaced in 1943 with Staghounds, GM Foxes, and GM Otters, with which the 2nd Corps went to fight in Italy in 1944.*
