Since late 1942, armoured cars were used in Polish units in Middle East for training: there were Morris LRC and Marmon-Herrington AC Mk.III as standard models, replaced in 1943 with Staghounds, GM Foxes, and GM Otters, with which the 2nd Corps went to fight in Italy in 1944.*

Armoured cars were used in following 2nd Corps reconnaissance units, fighting in Italy: Pulk Ulanow Karpackich (Carpathian Lancer Rgt) and two divisional recce regiments: 12th Podole Uhlans Regiment
(12 Pulk Ulanow Podolskich) and 15th Poznan Uhlans Regiment (15 Pulk Ulanow Poznanskich). There were also other units created, but they had not completed their organisation. *
