After the breakthrough this afternoon the enemy has kept us off balance, pushing further north. They have taken Valkenswaard and seem hell bent of reaching Eindhoven before darkness falls. American parachutists have been reported there. Our goal is to create an improvised blocking position north of Valkenswaard, at the village of Aalst.*
*
We had no time to prepare any positions, so we will have to be quick.
*
*
Objectives: Take up positions in Aalst and hold XXX Corps at bay.*
*
Enemy: The Guards Armored Division has taken Valkenswaard and now their Spearheads are driving north along the highway. Expect armored cars, tanks and truckborne infantry. They also still have significant artillery and air support.

Remnants of FJR "von Hoffmann" have fallen under the command of Major Kerrut. In this sector you have access to roughly a company of troops, with some newly delivered PAK guns. The AT guns have no motorised transport. Some Stugs will join our defense later. Your troops are on the march and still arriving on the battlefield, so you have to quickly take up positions in the village and around the bridge.

Everything BETTER than a draw will count as a victory. A victory will delay XXX Corps' move to Nijmegen and allow you more time to improvise more defensive positions in later scenarios. If you lose, XXX Corps will already reach Eindhoven on the first day of the operation and the campaign will end in defeat.
