November 26th, 1944*
Koslar and Bourheim, West of Juelich*
*
Our position in Koslar has proven to be an uncomfortable one: F and G companies had to fend off various German probes all throughout the 25th.
When resupply from Engelsdorf was attempted, they were turned back by heavy fire from the north and from the paper mill, as well as artillery interdiction fires.
German parties have used this fire support to sneak back into their old positions at night, virtually cutting us off.
While freed Polish slave workers care for our wounded, we brace ourselves for German counter attack: tracks and engines have been heard to the north and east.
*
*
We believe that the Germans are planning a major counter offensive against our recently won positions in Koslar and Bourheim. A German success would reestablish their main defensive position around Juelich.

*
Objectives: *
116th Regiment:*
Deploy two of your companies in Koslar and one of them around Engelsdorf in the areas indicated on the map. Deploying outside of those might lead to immediate loss of troops!*
Defend Koslar.*
Use your reserve company to reestablish contact with the village.*
*
*
175th Regiment:*
Defend Bourheim.*
If possible, push back the Germans from the outskirts of the village.*
*
*
Enemy: We are facing the 340th Volksgrenadier Division. Intelligence believes that the enemy has massed a significant number of armored vehicles to support their burnt out infantry.
These include SP-guns from 341st Assault Gun Battalion and 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division, as well as Tigers and robot demolition tanks from the 301st Heavy (Radio control) Tank Battalion.
Countless German artillery positions have been established on the high ground beyond the Roer and they have zeroed our positions.*
*
*
Both Koslar and Bourheim are held by roughly two companies of our infantry. In view of the precarious positions, reserve companies have been released to march towards the front immediately.
Support will also be rendered by 747th Tank Brigade. Heavy artillery support is on call, but the air force has to wait for the weather to clear up.
*
*
You will only receive reinforcements once the Roer river is reached.
