(1) Jack Simth: Greetings.
(2) Kaylin: good morning
(1) Jack Simth: Beautiful day today, isn't it?
(2) Kaylin: cloudy, but it is nice... looking at a stand of conifers at this point, and they really look good with fog/mist in front of them
(1) Jack Simth: Since when has it being a beautiful day ever had anything to do with the weather?
(2) Kaylin: :D
(2) Kaylin: well... I like to think that a "day" has stuff to do with weather, otherwise my "day" often is everyone else's "night"
(1) Jack Simth: Ah, so you are one of the many people who is of the opinion that mornings are much better when they happen late in the afternoon?
(2) Kaylin: absolutely.
(2) Kaylin: mornings before noon are scarily early and I act like a zombie....
(1) Jack Simth: Me, I have this nifty ability to be up and about pretty much on any schedual; there have been times when I've gotten up at noon on one day, and 5 am the next. Both days, quite cheery when I wake up.
(2) Kaylin: wow...
(1) Jack Simth: Drove my astronomy instuctor insane. You see, he was usually going to bed at about 2-4 in the morning, and class was at 10 AM.... and I was still cheery the next morning when I was out at the observatory as well....
(2) Kaylin: o.O
(2) Kaylin: *shudder*
(2) Kaylin: I can get by with very little sleep, but anyone who talks to me gets a very vague response and I have a tendency to walk into trees
(1) Jack Simth: Well, at least you don't run around moaning "Braaiiinssss"
(2) Kaylin: lol... I only do that online :P
(1) Jack Simth: Now, Coffee, on the other hand, would be normal....
(2) Kaylin: I use tea for the caffeine purpose, thinking about getting into coffee though
(1) Jack Simth: Higher caffine content, but doesn't tast as good until AFTER you are pretty much addicted. Me, I tend to keep my caffine intake down to about 3-4 12-ounce sodas a day.
(2) Kaylin: Interesting... I've been doing about 2 sodas a day alongside tea, depending on if I need a hot drink or cold. Seems to work pretty well
(1) Jack Simth: 10 minutes till schedualed game time....
(1) Jack Simth: 5 minutes till schedualed game time....
(3) Kibin (enter): 10:03
(1) Jack Simth: Greetings.
(3) Kibin: sorry me a little late
(1) Jack Simth: Nah, still got 2 minutes.
(3) Kibin: hehe.
(3) Kibin: can we possibly do the great warping thingie today?
(1) Jack Simth: Well, both warper and warpee are present....
(2) Kaylin: you really are looking forward to that, aren't you :P
(3) Kibin: yes. :P
(2) Kaylin: We just need to get me the necessary amount of loot to create the spell.
(3) Kibin: me and violist has been planning.
(1) Jack Simth: Well, the appropriet diamond has been dropped into the game world.
(2) Kaylin: We just need to 'acquire' it...
(3) Kibin: no stealing.
(1) Jack Simth: Shouldn't be too much of an issue.
(1) Jack Simth: Hmm... well, 5 minutes past; care to switch rooms?
(3) Kibin (exit): 10:10
Moving to room 'D and D'..

You must be either a player or GM to use the miniature Layer
(3) Kibin: (cheese!)
(2) Kaylin (enter): 10:12
(1) Jack Simth: Let's see... our heros are in town, having recently defeated the evil blue dragon trying to take over the kingdom.....
(3) Kibin: Ooo, shiney loot.
(1) Jack Simth: (already ID'd last session; still in Peoria)
(2) Kaylin: (after forcing the poor wizardess to identify everything...)
(3) Kibin: (WORK HARDER, SLAVE!
(2) Kaylin: (don't make me Warp you intoa newt)
(2) Kaylin: (er, lizard)
(3) Kibin: (meh.)
(1) Jack Simth: (that would be a rather.... pricy revenge. Unless, of course, you simply substituded Baelful Polymorph for the Great Warping.)
(1) Jack Simth: Anyway... in Peoria. Hint of where to go for materials hit last session, early on.
(3) Kibin: (hehe. you know, it doesn't say that the target has to be WILLING)
(1) Jack Simth: (but very pricy for someone you don't like.....)
(3) Kibin: (what? 100,000 for focus, 10,000 for MC)
(2) Kaylin: (yeah, I mean, 10,000 just to turn you into a lizard... are you worth it? :P)
(2) Kaylin: I saw a diamond behind that forcewall, it looks like the perfect material for what I'd need to research some spells.
(2) Kaylin: Why don't we go see about acquiring it?
(1) Jack Simth: (meanwhile, Kaylin could do so... for free.... with Baelful Polymorph. Yeah; materials are definately not worth a harmful great warping.)
(1) GM: You pass a rather unusual shop. Diamonds, large diamonds, simply seem to hang in the air behind the wooden frame of the store. Even to the untrained eye, obviously worth a very large sum... each. No window or glass is in evidence, but when you see someone reach for one, their hand obviously meets an impassable barrier around the gems.
(1) GM: The wood of the shop is rather old, however, and is starting to warp and rot.
(1) GM: Jason: Shall we have a look inside?
(2) Kaylin: We should.
(1) GM: Inside the shop, there is more of the same; you briefly wonder how people know where to walk without running into invisible walls, but then see a clearly marked white pathway on the floor, leading straight to the rear of the shop. You quickly find that any attempt to go ourside the marked lines results in getting stopped by an invisible wall.
(1) GM: Hearing you come in, something behind the counter, on the floor, opens, and a very, very old woman, stuped and crinkled with age, rises into view with a rainbow of light playing up from beneath her, and greets you cheerily, although in a voice weak with age.
(1) GM: Woman: Welcome to the best diamond store in the world. If I don't have one of the size you need in stock, there probably isn't one anywhere in the world, save for in the hands of one of my previous clients.

(1) GM: (gah - stupid mouse clicking twice...)
(2) Kaylin: Hmm.. mind if I have a look around?
(3) Kibin: Kaylin, have fun.
(2) Kaylin: they're so pretty...
(1) GM: Woman: You can look, but don't touch. Everything is of course very throughly guarded.
** (2) Kaylin wanders around cooing at the various shiny pretties **
(3) Kibin: Can we touch anything even if we wanted to?
(1) GM: You find they are quite large, and the stock seems to consist exclusivly of diamonds.
(3) Kibin: How do you make money? Not many people can afford diamonds.
(2) Kaylin: (by the way, what kind of adjectives would we use on a diamond costing 100,000 gp?)
(3) Kibin: (blue?)
(1) GM: Woman: Well, not everything is directly subject to magic; hence the Walls of Force in the way. If you want to purchase something, I can get it out.
(1) GM: (Huge. Rediculously Expensive. Priceless.)
(3) Kibin: (and blue. :)
(2) Kaylin: *mumbling* This one looks good... *in louder voice* How much for this diamond? Talking about the big one here...
(1) GM: Woman: Well... I don't need to make a sale often to remain in buisiness. Mostly I cater to the jewelers who make jewelery for rulers, and the clerics who, for some reason, need lots of diamonds handy.
(2) Kaylin: Magical reasons.
(1) GM: Old Woman: That one? It's my largest, officially weighing in at 100,000 gp. But... there's a prophecy a seer once told me... that I would be able to trade it for something which would restore my youth. If you can manage to fulfill the prophecy, it's yours for the taking. Otherwise? I'm keeping it for whoever can.
(3) Kibin: (inventive use of great warping? :)
(2) Kaylin: (GM?)
(1) GM: (That would be one interpertation... but I dropped an item in earlier that had a side-effect....)
(1) GM: (for hints, read through the recent treasure listings)
(4) Elorin (enter): 10:27
(2) Kaylin: (hmmph, I should save those more.)
(3) Kibin: Ooo, what about that ring?
whispering to Elorin, /nick GM

whispering to Elorin, /nick GM

(2) Kaylin: (oh jeez. we're not going to give her the Ring of the Countess, are we?)
(3) Kibin: The ring could be what she's looking for.
(1) GM: Old Woman Diamond Shopkeeper: Ring? Did I hear something about a ring? I can fasion many diamond rings, if you like. Is that young man planning on proposing to you?
(2) Kaylin: *cough*
** (2) Kaylin goes off and laughs to herself quietly **
(3) Kibin: Uh, no... A ring that changes your form into that of a young woman...
(1) GM: Old Woman: Hmm... might I see this ring?
(2) Kaylin: Certainly. But keep some clothes with you, no telling what these people might do...
(1) GM: The old woman carefully sets the ring down on the counter, steps back, and casts a spell....
(1) GM: (spellcraft check if you wish to ID it)
(2) Kaylin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+28] -> [16,28] = (44)
whispering to Kaylin, Analyze Dewoemer
(1) GM: Old woman: Yes.... this just might do it....
(1) GM: She chuckles
(1) GM: Old woman: don't want to be donning it in public in this outfit, though... and I'd have to move elsewhere....
(1) GM: Old woman: I can make that trade.
(3) Kibin: Heh, just don't try and overthrow any kingdoms.
(1) GM: Old woman: This ring has some history, then?
(2) Kaylin: Well, recent history.
whispering to Kaylin, Knoweledge(History) check?
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: History Skill Check: [1d20+12] -> [3,12] = (15)
(2) Kaylin: (harrumph.)
whispering to Kaylin, the recent history is all you know about concerning the situation.
(1) GM: Old woman: Well? Do we have a deal? The Diamond for the ring?
(2) Kaylin: (oops, forgot to update my idlerpg sheet... that should be +30 to my spellcraft check, not +28)
(2) Kaylin: (er, openrpg.)
(2) Kaylin: Sounds like a deal to me.
(1) GM: Old woman: Tis done, then.
** (4) Elorin wonders just how big this 100000 gp diamond is. **
(1) GM: She grabs the ring, puts it in a simple drawr, removes a small gem, crushes it in her hand, and the larger diamond falls to the counter, transported from where it had been displayed.
(1) GM: It leaves a sizeable dent in the wood of the counter.
(1) GM: Old woman: It's yours.
(2) Kaylin: So... pretty....
** (2) Kaylin strokes the diamon **
(3) Kibin: (what the crud. how could we see it if it was in the etheral plane?)
(1) GM: Even in the dim light of the shop, the diamond sparkles brilliantly.
(2) Kaylin: (An image of it?)
(3) Kibin: Ooo, pretty.
(1) GM: (Wasn't in the etherial, but the material - Walls of Force stop etherial creatures as well as material ones)
(1) GM: (and she called it with a spell result - which reminds me; Spellcraft check, if you like)
(2) Kaylin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+30] -> [11,30] = (41)
(2) Kaylin: (I do like)
whispering to Kaylin, Instant Summons
whispering to Kaylin, cast earlier, triggered just now with the crushing of the gem
** (2) Kaylin picks it up **
(2) Kaylin: (well, one part down.)
(1) GM: The old woman takes the ring, decends back down through the rainbow of light, and a few minutes later, a young woman who looks exactly like the countess did, but in loose robes, floats back up into view, wearing a signet ring.
(1) GM: Young Woman: Umm... so much better....
(3) Kibin: Enjoy, I guess.
(2) Kaylin: By the way, those robes don't show off your figure.
(1) GM: Countess look-alike: Well... it was the only thing I had that wouldn't rip at the seams when I put the ring on....
(2) Kaylin: Understandable problem.
(2) Kaylin: Diamond earrings might go well with that body... hmm...
(1) GM: Young woman: I don't suppose you happen to have anything the former owner of this ring wore, do you? Would save time at the tailors... and I think that tailor would take a very, very long time of it, now.
(2) Kaylin: (do we still have those countess things?)
(3) Kibin: Her robe was... destroyed.
(1) GM: (I don't beleive we setteled on exactly what to sell)
(3) Kibin: (no time yet :)
(4) Elorin: (one suit was shredded, but I think we've still got the spare trimmed in silver with ruby ribbons)
(1) GM: Jason: Well, the one she was wearing at the time was. There was another in the carriage, wasn't there?
(4) Elorin: (er, buttons, not ribbons)
(1) GM: Young woman: It would save me a trip to the tailors... where I would have to pay full price anyway....
(4) Elorin: The outfit's a bit extravagent, though. Might be a bit much for everyday use.
(3) Kibin: Meh, too interested in those shiney magic items.
(1) GM: Young woman: I deal with exceptionally large diamonds. Extravagant is my buisiness. Besides, will get me something to wear while I shop for more practical things.
(4) Elorin: Fair enough.
(4) Elorin: Did we leave it in the wagon, or do you have it in your bag of holding, Kaylin?
(2) Kaylin: Considering me, I probably have it in the bag...
** (2) Kaylin digs through her bag **
(1) GM: (even though Kaylin can't fill it out....)
(2) Kaylin: (did we leave it in the wagon? I can't remember IC or OOC)
(1) GM: (unspecified; whichever you like)
(3) Kibin: (kaylin couldn't resist keeping the clothes for herself :)
(2) Kaylin: (let's just have them in the bag)
(2) Kaylin: Here we go...
(4) Elorin: (unless something was decided before I got here today, nothing of the loot is in a specified location)
** (2) Kaylin pulls the clothes out **
(1) GM: Young woman: Well, well; that looks like it will do quite nicely... a Royal outfit? Looks around 200 golds... hold on....
(1) GM: The young woman rummages around in a drawer for a short time...
(1) GM: Then pulls up a small pouch of gold, and dumps 200 gp out on the counter.
(3) Kibin: How about you just keep it? For free?
(2) Kaylin: (with all the cloth for the chest? gotta be 205 at least :D )
(1) GM: (the skirt was shorteded up a little for the material)
(2) Kaylin: (ahh.)
(4) Elorin: (baring more leg in the process, of course. quite desirable for the Countess' plans)
(1) GM: Young woman: Ah, in my long life I've learned that very little is truely free... but I suppose you simply want to see it worn again? Or just suspect nobody would buy such a dress unless they could fit it anyway....
(2) Kaylin: (her long life? she's human, isn't she?)
(1) GM: (Yes, but she was also in immenent danger of hitting her maximum age)
(3) Kibin: Eh, we got a shiney diamond from you.
(2) Kaylin: (ahh.)
(1) GM: Young Woman: Well then....
(1) GM: She scrapes the gold off the counter, grabs the dress, then goes down through her rainbow-floor behind the counter and changes, then comes back up after a few moments... looking quite spectacular.
(2) Kaylin: (good thing I'm female, otherwise I'd be hitting on her)
(1) GM: (Well, it's proabably a bad idea to hit on someone that tosses around Permanencied Walls of Force all over the shop....)
(3) Kibin: Heh, if I wasn't a kobold, I'd probally be trying to date you.
** (4) Elorin has too recent memories of a nasty blue dragon using that form **
(2) Kaylin: (ooh)
(1) GM: Young woman: A kobold? You look more like a timber wolf to me.
(3) Kibin: I was a kobold. At least until I died, that is.
(1) GM: Young woman: And there wasn't a cleric, but a Druid, to raise you? Fun times.
(3) Kibin: Actually, they used an oil. At least I can still talk.
(2) Kaylin: C'mon, boys, let's not hang around here forever. We've got questing to be doing... or have you forgotten?
(1) GM: Young woman: Lucky you aren't a spellcaster - you don't seem to have the hands for it....
(3) Kibin: Meh, he still needs me to complete his recipie.
(1) GM: (you do remember Jason's speech, right?)
(3) Kibin: (yeah)
(2) Kaylin: (er, no?)
(4) Elorin: I think he'd be more interested in Jason
(3) Kibin: Doesn't it have to be a kobold?
(3) Kibin: Jason, I don't think, is material enough.
(4) Elorin: He needs a certain piece of information
(4) Elorin: You might have it somehow buried in you from what your ancestors experienced, but Jason remembers it directly
(1) GM: Jason: Don't like to dwell on it, though... long, painful memory.
(1) GM: Jason: I'm with Kaylin - lets get back to questing.
(3) Kibin: If Jason goes etheral, though, that might be a problem.
(2) Kaylin: We're probably going to have to drag wolfie here out.
(4) Elorin: Anyway, let's get going
(1) GM: Old woman: Well, as long as he can keep the wolf-whistles down to a minimum....
(2) Kaylin: nice one
(3) Kibin: Will you people stop it with the horrible puns already!
(2) Kaylin: I see you're going to enjoy this... have fun with your new life
(1) GM: Young shoppkeeper: Barking up the wrong tree hoping you'll appreciate them?
(2) Kaylin: (lol)
(2) Kaylin: (by the way, shouldn't we warn her about the associations people will have with the countess?)
(3) Kibin: Please?
(3) Kibin: Besides, wolves don't bark. They howl.
(4) Elorin: (is this the shop in the city the countess was in?)
(1) GM: Shopkeeper: We'd probably get along like cats and dogs anyway, and I need to be going myself.... step outside, please.
(3) Kibin: Can I bite her once?
** (2) Kaylin tugs on Kibin's tail **
(1) GM: Jason steps outside the shop.
** (3) Kibin bites Kaylin. **
(1) GM: Attack roll?
(2) Kaylin: ow.
(2) Kaylin: bad wolf.
(3) Kibin: [1d20+16] -> [6,16] = (22)
(2) Kaylin: (I should respond with escalation.)
(1) GM: Flat-footed AC 15, if I recall correctly; hit. Damage? May cap it at 1, if just a nip.
(4) Elorin: (please don't, I don't want to have to heal the results)
(2) Kaylin: (oh, all right)
(3) Kibin: [1d6+1] -> [1,1] = (2)
(2) Kaylin: (hahaha.)
whispering to Kibin, you find she tastes sweet....
(3) Kibin: (bah. just be glad i didn't use sneak attack.)
(1) GM: Old woman: Oh well, I did ask politely.....
(1) GM: She waves her hands, and says a few whispered words.....
(3) Kibin: I'm going, i'm going!
** (3) Kibin jumps out quickly. **
(1) GM: (Care for a spellcraft check?)
** (4) Elorin leaves **
(2) Kaylin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+30] -> [3,30] = (33)
(2) Kaylin: (bah.)
** (2) Kaylin is outta here **
whispering to Kaylin, you don't recognize the spell...
(4) Elorin: (why do you bother making her roll for identifying spells?)
(2) Kaylin: (damn, don't recognise that)
(4) Elorin: (I'm pretty sure even a 31 gets anything non epic
(1) GM: After you all step outside, a huge blast of wind blows the door open, knocking the next building clean over.
(3) Kibin: (yeah, really.)
(2) Kaylin: (o.O)
(1) GM: A moment later, the diamond shop dissapears... as does quite a bit of the ground beneath. Seems the ground was shored up when she prepared the spell, though, as the surrounding buildings don't fall into the hole.
(2) Kaylin: (OOC, can we know what the heck that was? please?)
(4) Elorin: Soooo, I'm guessing she was a powerful spellcaster
(1) GM: Jason: Probably just as well you didn't hit on her.
(3) Kibin: Please tell me someone brought the diamond out.
** (2) Kaylin makes an unladylike noise **
(2) Kaylin: I should have asked if I could copy her spellbook
(2) Kaylin: yeah, I have the diamond here
(1) GM: Jason: If you couldn't recognize it, I doubt very much you could have cast it anyway.
(1) GM: Jason: And you never know - she may have been a Sorceror.
(2) Kaylin: She probably would have had some 7th or 8th level spells...
(3) Kibin: Anyway, About your spell?
(2) Kaylin: oh yeah, them.
(3) Kibin: :smiles.
** (3) Kibin smiles. **
(1) GM: Jason: Always nice when someone bites that hand that changes them... with your luck, you will end up as a succubi.
(3) Kibin: Meh. I can still sneak attack.
(1) GM: (after all, it's THE CASTER that chooses the form....)
(2) Kaylin: Hmm...
(3) Kibin: (and the subject doesn't have to be willing...)
(2) Kaylin: Succubus wouldn't be a good form for him.
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, I don't know - the ability to shapeshift himself within limits, fly, and wield weapons, as well as having claws available?
(3) Kibin: Being female...
(2) Kaylin: Hmm..
(3) Kibin: I'd prefer something without fur.
(4) Elorin: Yeah, but if anyone finds out what he is the reaction would not be good
(1) GM: (ah, nevermind on the shapeshifting - you wouldn't pick up spell-like abilities....)
(3) Kibin: Fur is too itchy.
(2) Kaylin: Well... I'm going to need 7,000 gp... and diamond dust, I think I'll need about 10,000 gp of that. Then we can head back to Ye Olde Magicke Shoppe for the crafting portal.
(1) GM: (now, a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Dragon on the other hand.....)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
(3) Kibin: (red draggy :)
(2) Kaylin: (how about I turn him into a Bronze wyrmling?)
(3) Kibin: (dragons don't bite :)
(1) GM: (doable, but must be Young or older for the shapeshifting Su ability)
(2) Kaylin: (cackle)
(3) Kibin: (they breathe fire)
(3) Kibin: I guess I pay for this?
(3) Kibin: I'll pay, if I get some of these magic items.
(1) GM: (you realize fire is the most common resistance in the MM, don't you?)
(3) Kibin: (yes. and?)
(4) Elorin: (why not just do something normal, like an elf?)
(4) Elorin: (or turn him back into a kobold)
(3) Kibin: (elf is too furry)
(2) Kaylin: (furry? what the heck)
(3) Kibin: (yes. elves are furry.)
(1) GM: (on their heads, at least, I suppose....)
(2) Kaylin: (if this was taking place IC, I would have to slap you...)
(3) Kibin: (and all over. just not as visible)
(2) Kaylin: (well, so are humans and probably kobolds.)
(1) GM: (lizards don't have hair - they have scales instead, as birds have feathers)
(3) Kibin: (yup.)
(4) Elorin: (if we start getting into dragons and such, we could all too easily run into extreme balance problems)
(2) Kaylin: (oh, right. humans then. orcs too, for that matter...)
(3) Kibin: (fur is itchy :)
(2) Kaylin: (I don't have problems with it :)
(3) Kibin: (bah. red dragon is a weak dragon, as far as dragons go.)
(3) Kibin: (metallic dragons > chromatic dragons
(4) Elorin: (IIRC, only Gold dragons are rated higher CR than Reds)
(1) GM: (if Balance problems become an issue, there's always Mage's Disjucntion)
(3) Kibin: (there's always the pseudodragon :P)
(4) Elorin: (which would waste all that money Kibin just spent...)
(4) Elorin: (better to play it safe)
(3) Kibin: (no kobolds no kobolds!)
(1) GM: (oh... just the 10,000 in MC's and the 2,000 xp; the research and Focus are more durable)
(3) Kibin: (wait. there's XP?_
(2) Kaylin: (and while we're at it, why don't I learn elemental blast as we agreed on 10 pages ago?)
(3) Kibin: (i don't remember XP.)
(2) Kaylin: (2,000 XP)
(2) Kaylin: (from caster, target, or any combination. as caster chooses :)
(3) Kibin: (or, some other person we pay to use the XP of.)
(1) GM: (No, just caster or target)
(3) Kibin: (i'm pretty sure there was no XP.)
(2) Kaylin: (check page.. 14)
(1) GM: (As the DM, I'm rather certain that's the version Violist and I agreed would work our.)
(2) Kaylin: (on the forums)
(3) Kibin: (just material component, focus, and 48 hour ritual)
(1) GM: (Out, rather, but it also means you get all the Su and Ex abilities of the chosen form.)
(3) Kibin: (meh. fine. XP.)
(2) Kaylin: (when you've got >100,000 XP, 2,000 isn't such a huge deal)
(3) Kibin: (besides, the dynamics are such that you always have about the same level)
(3) Kibin: Uh, I guess we go to the magic shop now?
(1) GM: Jason: Probably.
(2) Kaylin: Well... if we've got the gold.
(1) GM: Jason: Although that lady was rather... magical... she's gone now.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, how much gold do we have available? I believe you mentioned roughly 17,000?
(3) Kibin: I have about, oh, 60,000?
(2) Kaylin: 7,000 for the polymorph spell, and 5,000 for a new combat spell I've been working on.
(3) Kibin: Not paying for your spell.
(1) GM: Jason: Ah, yes; reasearch is such a wonderful proposition. Never needed to, myself.
(2) Kaylin: Psh. OK, then. 7,000 and I'll go find the rest for the other spell myself...
(2) Kaylin: (biting the hand that changes us? :P)
(2) Kaylin: (where on earth did you get 60,000 from, anyways?)
(4) Elorin: (accumulated loot without spending it?)
(2) Kaylin: (ah, right.)
(3) Kibin: (ask me :)
(1) GM: Jason: So where did you pick up sixty grand?
(3) Kibin: Not much for a wolf to buy.
(1) GM: Jason: So you haven't been investing in that armor, or getting permanent Druid spells?
(3) Kibin: No, not really. I haven't got hit much.
(1) GM: Jason: Been dodging the issue? Fair enough.
(3) Kibin: Does baleful polymorph work on ghosts?
(1) GM: Jason: It's so much fun being immune to anything that requires a Fort save...
(2) Kaylin: (am I the only one getting 403 errors on d20srd?)
(4) Elorin: (unless it can affect objects)
(4) Elorin: (no)
(1) GM: (nope; that's one of the reasons I tend to keep local copies of things.....)
(2) Kaylin: (wonderful. I don't have the SRD memorised...)
(1) GM: (well, I've got a local copy... and there are multiple places to get it - Here for instance)
(3) Kibin: (i do!)
(3) Kibin: Okay, I guess we travel back, then.
(4) Elorin: (I slept in because I thought there wouldn't be a session today, and I haven't had lunch yet)
(1) GM: Jason: To Ye Olde Shoppe of Majgicke?
(4) Elorin: (I'll be back in a bit)
(2) Kaylin: Very well..
(2) Kaylin: (actually, I could use some lunch too... brb)
(3) Kibin: (meh.)
(3) Kibin: (can we go ahead and get back to the shop?)
(2) Kaylin: (sure, I'll buy a can of ravioli there)
(3) Kibin: (and discuss great warping with kaylin)
(3) Kibin: (elorin isn't needed for what's next :P)
(1) GM: You started to say something.... or at least type something....
(3) Kibin: (oops sorry)
(3) Kibin: (just some stupid friends that mess with my stuff
(3) Kibin: (red dragon isn't too powergamy)
(3) Kibin: (lots of stuff has fire resistances, and it's stats aren't that good compared to metallic dragons)
(1) GM: (The problem with a red is that you either need to pick a Wyrmling, or be stuck in a Large form. A young Bronze, on the other hand, gets Fire as well, has the same stat modifiers, and has the option of faking humanoid forms)
(3) Kibin: (and i get hands. tat's what important)
(3) Kibin: (meh. large, so what)
(2) Kaylin: (you can't be in the wagon then.)
(1) GM: (Have fun waiting outside the dungeons....)
(3) Kibin: (can still get through doors, since it's long, not large)
(1) GM: (and making so many Escape Artist checks, being considered squeezed, and having a low dex to go with it....)
(3) Kibin: (bah)
(3) Kibin: (up to kaylin :)
(3) Kibin: (can kaylin ride on me? :P)
(1) GM: (I don't believe she posesses that skill.)
(3) Kibin: (meh.)
(3) Kibin: (okay... since kaylin is back...)
** (3) Kibin pokes Kaylin() **
(2) Kaylin: (hmm?)
(1) GM: (I think he's hoping for Ye Olde Shoppe of Majgicke for spell research....)
(2) Kaylin: (ah..)
(3) Kibin: (yup.)
(3) Kibin: (btw. you can mount something without a ride check. ;)
(2) Kaylin: (I think the GM is right, dragon will have trouble with dungeons)
(1) GM: (A Large creature would; a young Silver or Bronze, on the other hand, get this nifty Alternate Form ability that deals with it quite well)
(3) Kibin: (kaylin is the morph master :P)
(1) GM: (or a Wyrmling Gold....)
(3) Kibin: (ooo bronze.)
(3) Kibin: (young bronze is already medium)
(1) GM: (True)
(1) GM: (As is a Wyrmling Gold)
(2) Kaylin: (young bronze sounds good. everyone agrees it's not too powergamy?)
(3) Kibin: (hmmm.)
(3) Kibin: (there's no spelllike abilities)
(1) GM: (Considering his dex drops to 10?)
(3) Kibin: (meh. that's a sideeffect :P)
(3) Kibin: (i get a bonus to attack though. :)
(2) Kaylin: (haha, a rogue with 10 dex)
(2) Kaylin: (sounds awesome)
(1) GM: (+3 for strenght, but lose the dex bonus to your attack rolls.)
(3) Kibin: (don't dragons get a natural to-hit?)
(1) GM: (Dragon HD give full BAB, and Str adds to their attack rolls, but they don't get anything beyond that; the large or Larger ones even get a penalty from their size)
(1) GM: (and note that, while getting changed into a dragon, you still wouldn't have dragon Hit Dice....)
(1) GM: (small dragons get a bonus to hit... but only a +1; Wyrmling Silver would do for that.)
(1) GM: (And a Silver Wyrmling has Alternate Form, and can thus fake Human shapes)
(3) Kibin: (hmmm.)
(3) Kibin: (so no to-hit bonuses? :P)
(1) GM: (Only from Strength... although you could get Dex bonuses by using Alternate Form and putting on some Guantlets of Dexterity)
(3) Kibin: (okay,bronze it is i guess)
(3) Kibin: (dragons have hands, why can't they wear gloves? :)
(2) Kaylin: (because those are big hands)
(1) GM: (They don't have hands, so much as their claws work as fine manipulators. Gloves, unfortunately, tend to tear....)
(3) Kibin: (ah.)
(3) Kibin: (ah well. i can still wear my shineys.)
(3) Kibin: (ready? :)
(2) Kaylin: (umm.. ok...)
(2) Kaylin: (well, so we're going to turn you into a ... ummm... young Bronze? wyrmlings are cuter..)
(1) GM: Ye Olde Shoppekeeper: Ah, what can I do for you today, lovely wizardess?
(1) GM: (As the caster, it's your choice..... and a Wyrmling Silver would keep all appropriet abilities....)
(3) Kibin: (but small.)
(2) Kaylin: (hmm, wyrmling silver is nice)
(3) Kibin: (young gold dragon coudl work :)
(2) Kaylin: Well, I'd like to use the crafting portal.
(3) Kibin: (i'm large, but i can polymorph still)
(2) Kaylin: Wolf: could I get 7,100 gp from you?
(3) Kibin: Wolf got your tounge? Thought it was 17,000.
(1) GM: Jason: Enjoy your seven weeks of research... we'll likely see you again in about.... what? About five minutes?
(2) Kaylin: 10,000 for the components for casting. 7,000 for researching the spell. 100 for the portal fee.
(3) Kibin: Hehe.
(2) Kaylin: And you'd better be worth 7 weeks of research... though I can't deny it'll be fun
** (3) Kibin prders his servant thingie to get the nessesaccy gold, minus 50 gold. **
(3) Kibin: Rest of the 50 is paid by uyou, since you're making a spell for yourself.
** (2) Kaylin gets the gold **
(2) Kaylin: hmmph.
** (2) Kaylin tosses her hair defiantly and goes to the portal **
** (2) Kaylin pays the fee **
(1) GM: Shoppe Keeper: Enjoy your extra time.
(3) Kibin: I'd go in too, but I don't think there's any rabbits in there.
(1) GM: (By the way - did you remember to pack rations?)
(2) Kaylin: (oh. Forgot that...)
(1) GM: (7 weeks -> 49 days....)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
(2) Kaylin: (24.5 gp)
(3) Kibin: (lets say that there's a shop in there for that stuff. ;)
(3) Kibin: (magical vending machines!)
(2) Kaylin: (yay)
(1) GM: Anyway... 49 rounds later, with quite a few less GP in hand, Kaylin finishes up the research on her Great Warping.
(4) Elorin: (back)
** (2) Kaylin comes back, after cleaning up her appearance on the other side **
(2) Kaylin: (time to add that spel... level 7, right?)
(1) GM: (Yep)
(3) Kibin: (and the elemental thingie)
(2) Kaylin: (someone wouldn't loan me enough gold for that one)
(4) Elorin: (we've got some loot we haven't divvied up or sold yet)
(2) Kaylin: (let's do that and then I can go prepare the other spell..)
(1) GM: (Hmm... divying without Derrel?)
(3) Kibin: (hey. why you gotta prepare? :D)
(2) Kaylin: (oh, good point. should wait for a bit)
(3) Kibin: (but we can do great warping :D)
(1) GM: Jason: So how did the research go?
(3) Kibin: Hmmm. I wonder if peopel age normally in that other plane.
(2) Kaylin: Hmm. Took a long time, but it was pretty rewarding.
(1) GM: Jason: Probably; fortunately, most only stay there for weeks subjective, and Kaylin's of rather long-lived stock.
(3) Kibin: Do elves ever die? I don't think I've ever seen a wrinkle on an elf.
(1) GM: Jason: You don't see the wrinkles... but yes, they do suffer the ravages of old age. It just takes longer.
(1) GM: Jason: I've been around long enough to see a few go through it.
(2) Kaylin: A lot longer. And don't you dare call me old. I'm barely 125.
(1) GM: Jason: I'm over a thousand. You're a little young yet.
(3) Kibin: Hehe. Wolves don't last very long...
(2) Kaylin: I like Jason.
(2) Kaylin: He appreciates me more than you do ;)
(1) GM: Jason: Dragons, on the other hand, live until something kills them.
(3) Kibin: Hehe.
(3) Kibin: And they don't get weak and frail... Wonder how old that blue dragon was.
whispering to Kaylin, Knoweledge (Arcane)?
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Arcana Skill Check: [1d20+23] -> [5,23] = (28)
(2) Kaylin: (+23? hmm...)
(3) Kibin: Anyway, can we get on with it? I'd like to be something iwith scales and hands...
(2) Kaylin: (ah, right. +23(
whispering to Kaylin, older than a young adult is all that low a check gets you
whispering to Kaylin, which means over 100 years
(1) GM: Knowledge: Arcana Skill Check: [1d20+15] -> [6,15] = (21)
(2) Kaylin: Well, older than 100. but. I'm not sure otherwise.
(1) GM: Jason: So what does your spell require?
(2) Kaylin: *sigh* a lot,
(1) GM: Jason: Oh?
(1) GM: Jason: Are you telling me it burns the spirit sorely? Burns valuable materials? Requires extensive channeling?
(2) Kaylin: well... let's see.. I need 10,000 worth of diamond dust.. and it'll take a 48-hour continuous ritual to cast.
(1) GM: Jason: Ah... and you can't just keep at it like I could. Hmm....
(1) GM: Jason: You think Elorin might be able to help you out with staying awake?
(2) Kaylin: Probably.
(1) GM: Jason: Or that you should make a scroll and have me try the spell?
(3) Kibin: Maybe, his healing woke up that imp didn't it?
(2) Kaylin: A scroll might work.
(3) Kibin: Okay, so we grab Elorin, Kaylin, and me, hop into the crafting portal, and a few seconds later we pop back out.
(3) Kibin: Of course, it mgiht be a good idea to leave my items with jason.
(1) GM: (Let's see... 7th level spell, minimum caster level 13, if Jason uses the ioun stone, he needs only a roll of 2 on his caster level check to use the scroll....)
(1) GM: So... ready to try the spell?
** (3) Kibin gets his aid thingie to take off his items. **
(1) GM: Jason carefully stows them all in the wagon.
(2) Kaylin: All right. Let's do this...
(3) Kibin: Now, if there's any doors, you will have to open them for me again...
** (3) Kibin took the ring of aid off, too. **
(1) GM: Let's see... 40 fort saves from Kaylin.... DC's 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, .... with each failure meaning 1d6 nonleathal
(4) Elorin: (for fatigue?)
(2) Kaylin: (wonderful.)
(1) GM: (Yep)
(3) Kibin: (elorin can just heal.)
(4) Elorin: (assuming I go in, I'll cast Heal, aka Remove Fatigue, every few hours)
(1) GM: (Yes... but how often can you do so?)
(4) Elorin: (8 times per day)
(3) Kibin: (it doesn't have to be every hour)
(3) Kibin: (kaylin has what? 24 or so HP? so it's only healing every 4 hours or so)
(2) Kaylin: (59, ferchrissakes)
(1) GM: (And as, even at worst case (6 nonleathal every time), she will only need it every 9 hours....)
(2) Kaylin: (If I had 24 I'd have died 4 rocks ago)
(3) Kibin: (you have more HP that my koboldy self. freaky.)
(1) GM: Jason, stays behind at the wagon to make sure nobody messes with it too much.
(3) Kibin: (okay... casting casting casting)
(1) GM: As Does Derrel.
(3) Kibin: Jason, how much do you think can happen in 10 seconds?)
(1) GM: 300 gp for getting all three in the room.....
(2) Kaylin: (it's expensive to go.)
(1) GM: and 10,000 gp for the MC....
(1) GM: Jason: Oh... you never know....
(1) GM: Jason: After all, it only takes 3 for a demon to teleport....
(3) Kibin: Ah, what do I care.
(3) Kibin: What type of food do they have in there?
whispering to Kaylin, trail rations
(3) Kibin: Eh, it's only two hours, I'll go without it.
(2) Kaylin: Dog food.
(2) Kaylin: (2?)
(1) GM: (Days, not hours....)
(3) Kibin: Days, whatever.
** (3) Kibin makes a disgusted face. "Have you ever tried tasting dogfood?" **
(2) Kaylin: (by the way, how are we going to get a dragon through the portal?)
(1) GM: (Medium dragon or smaller? No sweat. Large? Escape Artist check, or Alternate Form to Medium)
(3) Kibin: (do gold dragons have to have those frilly mustache thingies?)
(2) Kaylin: (oh, true)
(1) GM: So.... Kibin, attempting a save?
(3) Kibin: (this is kinda like walking into a bar, isn't it?)
(1) GM: (Well, it's Kaylin that decides how much XP you lose, and Kaylin that decides such little things as Pseudodragon vs. Young Gold Dragon, gender, and specific appearence)
(3) Kibin: (bah. okay, i walk into the bar.)
(3) Kibin: (no save.)
(2) Kaylin: (hmm. I saw wyrmling silver, male, and ugly as hell :D)
(3) Kibin: (NOOOOOOOOo! :P)
(1) GM: (Would you prefer Pseudo, Female, and extremely attractive?)
(3) Kibin: (please no :P)
(3) Kibin: (i can kill you in one hit, you know.)
(2) Kaylin: (Allright, wyrmling silver, male, and nobody can tell how attractive they are anyways)
(3) Kibin: (bah.)
(1) GM: (Especialy what with the Alternate Form ability....)
(1) GM: So, after two grueling days of burning diamond and eating away at Kibin's very soul, kibin finds his fur dropping out and turning all scaly. Everyone seems a bit bigger, after, too....
(3) Kibin: Meh. I'm tiny again.
(2) Kaylin: (hahahahaha)
(1) GM: (Small)
(1) GM: So, Kaylin - how much XP did he lose?
(3) Kibin: (tiny, small, what's the difference)
(1) GM: (+4 to hide and move silently, -4 to grapple, +1 to AC and To-Hit....)
(2) Kaylin: (hmm... I can't spend more than 38 XP or I'll lose a level...)
(2) Kaylin: (Kibin.... 2000 XP?)
(1) GM: (Looks like....)
(3) Kibin: (guess so then.)
(3) Kibin: (and the fully refreshed kaylin says...)
(2) Kaylin: Whoosh. I need a nap.
(3) Kibin: Elfs don't sleep...
(1) GM: Jason: Well, that's what the wagon is for, and now we have that nifty Carriage if you want something a little softer.
(2) Kaylin: I need one anyways
(3) Kibin: (we're not to jason yet. :)
(2) Kaylin: Yay.
(3) Kibin: (jason hasn't seen me yet)
(2) Kaylin: (bah)
** (3) Kibin flies around Kaylin. "Weeeee..." **
(2) Kaylin: It's like an organic ioun stone
(1) GM: (quickly, but poorly, with a very, very wide circle; fly 100 average maneuverability: Minimum speed half (50 feet), maximum turn in a given round: 90 degrees)
(1) GM: (That's a very big circle)
(3) Kibin: (yeah, but i still fly around going weeee.)
** (2) Kaylin leads the way back to the shop **
** (3) Kibin flies out of the portal... and flies into the wagon waiting for them. **
(4) Elorin: (I have to go move some laundry. Shouldn't take long)
(1) GM: Jason: I'm assuming that's you, Kibin?
(3) Kibin: Ow...
(3) Kibin: Not as small as I expected, but I have HANDS now! Ooo.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, sort of, anyway. You might want to change into something a little less conspicuous, though.
(3) Kibin: Hmmm?
(1) GM: Jason: Well... dragons attract attention pretty much wherever they go... and Silvers can change their shape, easily enough.
(1) GM: (Oh, and your new physical stats: Str 13, Dex 10, Con 13)
(3) Kibin: Um, shouldn't we get some clothes first, though?
(1) GM: Jason: Well, animal forms should be within your capablilities... if you don't mind being a wolf for a while longer....
(3) Kibin: (can't it at least be modified based on my origional stats? like when going from kobold to wolf)
(3) Kibin: (does magical beast include animals? :P)
** (2) Kaylin goes to lie down in the carriage **
(4) Elorin: (back)
(1) GM: (That was a completely different case - Reincarnation specifies it acts as a modifiery; Polymorph (where this spell gets it's base) specifies the stats of the new form - which is average for the type, as listed. Sorry.)
(3) Kibin: (meh. why'd kaylin make me tiny so i have crappy stats x.x)
(3) Kibin: Um, would I still be able to talk as a wolf?
(2) Kaylin: (if I mad you much bigger it'd definetly be munchkinism)
(1) GM: (The little nip on her hand?)
(2) Kaylin: (oh yes, that too.)
(3) Kibin: (bit her in the leg :P)
(1) GM: Jason: Well, if you were after a little more strength, you could turn yourself into, say, an Orc.
(3) Kibin: Meh.
(2) Kaylin: (not like you need that brain)
(1) GM: Jason: For a bit more dexterity, you might try a halfling.
(3) Kibin: Being almost as furry? No thanks.
** (3) Kibin procedes to change shape into a wolf, then. **
(1) GM: Jason: If feathers are more to your taste, you might try a bird....
(1) GM: Jason: Or scales, a Crocodile.
(1) GM: Jason: Perhaps a Monitor Lizard.
** (3) Kibin replies with a few barks. **
** (3) Kibin hmmms... **
(1) GM: Jason: Well, I suppose we need to do a little shopping for you.... so you can have a mouth to speak with.
(2) Kaylin: Actually
(2) Kaylin: I kinda like it this way :P
(3) Kibin: :sighs, and lays down over at his small stash. He growls at Kaylin for that response.
** (2) Kaylin grins impishly at Kibin **
(1) GM: Jason: Perhaps.... but we will occasionally need to get scouting information from him.
(1) GM: Jason: And this form still has teeth....
(3) Kibin: :nods.
** (3) Kibin nods. **
(2) Kaylin: (why do you keep doing :foo?)
(3) Kibin: (meh, typos)
(3) Kibin (whispering): i can still do breath weapon as a wolf, i believe
(1) GM: (habit from elsewhere; keeps typing : instead of /me)
whispering to Kibin, yep... but a wyrmling silver gets only a 2d8 breath weapon.
(3) Kibin (whispering): can i exhale a bit of frost to show her? :)
(3) Kibin (whispering): meh.
whispering to Kibin, up to you....
(3) Kibin (whispering): without subtracting from daily amount of weapons, that is
whispering to Kibin, it's almost at will; 1d4 round wait time, as Jason's Telekenisis; also have Paralizing Gas.....
(3) Kibin (whispering): ooo, sweet.
** (3) Kibin blows a bit of cold air towards Kaylin, showing that he can still use the dragons breath weapon as well. **
(2) Kaylin: brrr...
(4) Elorin: (actually, you don't keep that ability in alternate forms)
(3) Kibin: (technically, i do, since i still have a mouth and it's a supernatural ability)
(4) Elorin: ("The creature retains the spell-like abilities and supernatural attacks of its old form (except for breath weapons and gaze attacks)")
(3) Kibin: (ah.)
(3) Kibin: (wait. where is that?
(3) Kibin: (i retain all supernatural abilities and attacks, as long as it doesn't use a body part i don't have)
(4) Elorin: (SRD description of Alternate Form ability)
(3) Kibin: (it functions as a polymorph spell cast on myself.)
(4) Elorin: (Types, Subtypes, and Special Abilities subsection of monsters)
(3) Kibin: (that's what it says in the dragons description
(3) Kibin: (ah, does it matter? i won't use the breath weapon much anyway)\
(2) Kaylin: (except on innocent wizardesses)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
(1) GM: (such tangled rules for polymorph effects... Alter Self says retain, Polymorph doesn't specify (and so inherits from Alter Self), the dragon's entry says it functions like Polymorph, but you have to go to the special abilities table to see that they aren't kept.... yikes.)
** (3) Kibin sighs, tapping his paw impatiently. **
(4) Elorin: (it's a puny 2d8 damage with a DC of just 14 for half)
(1) GM: (Silvers have a second option....)
(3) Kibin: (i say it doesn't really matter._
(3) Kibin: (yup, paralyzation)
(1) GM: Jason: Well, shall we go shopping for our scaly friend?
(2) Kaylin: Let's do so...
(1) GM: After a short while, you find a clothing store.
(2) Kaylin: ooooh
** (2) Kaylin goes inside and starts browsing **
(1) GM: Tailor: So, what are you looking for today? A nice dress for the lovely lady, a suite for the gentleman? Perhaps a coller for the dog....
(3) Kibin (whispering): would the DCs be based on my class hitdie, so it will be at least a little effective?
whispering to Kibin, Hit Dice and class levels are used interchageably unless spelled out otherwise...
(2) Kaylin: (you'd think this party would scare shopkeepers)
(3) Kibin (whispering): oh. sweet.
(1) GM: (They are actually all at least level 20 Sorcerors. Why do you ask?)
(2) Kaylin: (oh. I just meant appearances-wise)
(2) Kaylin: (Wolf, elves, ghost, human..)
(1) GM: Jason: So... what strikes your fancy, Kibin?
(3) Kibin: (wouldn't they notice the strong transmutation aura on me, showing that i'm using alternate form?)
(1) GM: (Only if they were actively detecting magic.....)
** (3) Kibin wanders around seeing if there's a section for kobolds. **
(1) GM: There is indeed a section for small creatures, and it does include many things that would work for kobolds, although they seem to be designed for halflings and Gnomes
(3) Kibin: (wouldn't tail pose some problems?)
(1) GM: (Why do you think he's a tailor?)
(3) Kibin: (ah.)
** (3) Kibin picks out some clothes similar to the ones he wore, reddish-brown in color. **
** (3) Kibin pokes his nose to signify what clothes he would like. **
(1) GM: Jason, seeing as how the wolf has started nosing around some things, picks it up and says "This one?"
(1) GM: (Telekenetically, of course....)
(2) Kaylin: Do you have a heavy fur coat?
(1) GM: (but faking doing it physically for the benefit of onlookers)
** (3) Kibin nods. **
(3) Kibin: (why can all shopkeepers kick your butt?)
(1) GM: Tailor: Why yes, we have many types of fur coats. Looking for something specific? Wolf fur is quite good at keeping out the winter chill, although Mink is much better for social situations.
(2) Kaylin: (so you don't just steal stuff)
(2) Kaylin: What are the prices on those?
(2) Kaylin: (wolf fur! YES!)
** (3) Kibin growls at Kaylin for even thinking about that. **
(1) GM: Tailor: The wolf fur is basically a winter outfit, and runs 8 gp. The Mink is much higher stature, and costs 75, befitting a Noble elf like yourself.
(3) Kibin (whispering): hehe. wonder how the tailor would react to a dragon in their shop :P
(1) GM: Meanwhile, Jason takes the outfit to the shoppkeeper, and inquites about the price, using Kibin's cash reserves.
(2) Kaylin: (he knows how to talk to elves, all right...)
** (2) Kaylin feels all flattered **
** (3) Kibin follows Jason. **
whispering to Kibin, a 20th sorceror, with ranks in Knoweledge(arcana) seeing a silver dragon? No problem - he has a pretty good idea on their alignment, and can deal with the Chaotic aspect....
** (2) Kaylin buys the coats and puts on the wolf-fur one **
(3) Kibin (whispering): hehe. :P
** (3) Kibin glares at Kaylin. **
(2) Kaylin: That's enough for me.
** (2) Kaylin goes to the wagon **
(1) GM: (speaking of which - what style did you point out? Artisan? Exploerer? Traveler's?)
(2) Kaylin: (Traveler's)
(2) Kaylin: (unless you're talining to kibin)
(3) Kibin: (um, shortsleeved for shirt, long-sleeved for pants? nothing else, pretty simple)
(1) GM: The Tailor, looking confused, says: A small one? Doesn't look like it would fit anyone. But yeah, 1 gp. A gift for a friend?
(3) Kibin (whispering): don't forget about modifications :P
(1) GM: Jason: Something like that. Can you set it properly for a Kobold?
(1) GM: Tailor: Ah, yes, we can. Simple modification, will take but a moment....
(1) GM: The tailor pulls out a needle, thread, and scissors, then starts crafts it for a Kobold.... but stops and asks :Male or female?
(3) Kibin (whispering): why would it matter?
(1) GM: Jason grins at Kibin evilly....
(1) GM: Jason then thinks better of it, and says: Male.
(2) Kaylin: Meanwhile, Kaylin is in the wagon combing her hair and putting on jewelry...
(2) Kaylin: then decides to go in the carriage.
(1) GM: A few snips and stiches later, the Taylor hands Jason a travelers outfit fit for a kobold.
(1) GM: Jason hands over one of Kibin's gold pieces, and lays the outfit on Kibin's back.
(1) GM: Jason: I don't suppose you have a changing room?
(1) GM: Tailor: Of course; through the door on the left.
(3) Kibin (whispering): i want to know why it would matter
whispering to Kibin, we might encounter a kobold society somewhere along the line... and do you really want them laughing at you for being dressed like a girl?
(3) Kibin (whispering): would the outfit design really matter? that outfit could probally be used the same by a female or male kobol
whispering to Kibin, Used yes, but there are style differences even between outfits of the same shape and type; consider which side the buttons are on some time.... it's is different for most mens clothing than it is for most women's clothing. Also, there's a little matter of where the extra room is placed.
(3) Kibin (whispering): female kobolds wouldn't have that extra weight, isn't that mammals only? :P
whispering to Kibin, still have wider hips for the eggs, and less room up front in the pants
(3) Kibin (whispering): meh.
(1) GM: Jason: So... going to go change?
** (3) Kibin goes into the changing room, then. **
(1) GM: And comes out a lizard?
** (3) Kibin comes out a kobold, in a travelers outfit. **
(1) GM: Jason: Ah, you look to be ready to go.
(3) Kibin: Yup.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, lets be off, then.
(3) Kibin (whispering): hehe. wonder if the tailor would be wondering about this :P
(1) GM: You notice the taylor casting a spell, then nodding to himself.
whispering to Kibin, not for long....
(2) Kaylin: (and if I was with you I'd do a spellcraft check)
(1) GM: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+18] -> [10,18] = (28)
(1) GM: Jason: Just a detect magic, nothing to worry about.
(3) Kibin (whispering): btw... about the spell.... does true seeing see through it? i'm wondering if they see a dragon, or a wolf
(3) Kibin (whispering): personally, i'd think they'd see a dragon, because being polymorphed 3 times would get kinda confusing.
** (3) Kibin goes out to the wagon, then, and puts on his ring of protection, and various other magical items. **
(3) Kibin: Hmmm, anyone mind if I have the bracers of armor and stuff?
(2) Kaylin: So there you are...
whispering to Kibin, It's Trasmutation, yes; True Seeing sees through the alternate form ability, through the Great Warping, through the Reincarnation (it's Transmutation, too) to the Kobold beneath. Yes, very confusing.
(3) Kibin: Yes, I'm my old scaly self, again, with opposable thumbs.
(3) Kibin (whispering): technically there is no kobold underneath :P reincarnation creates a new body.
(2) Kaylin: I preferred the wolf form.
whispering to Kibin, but it's still a transmutation to be seen through....
(3) Kibin (whispering): and there's no magic. technically.
whispering to Kaylin, I suppose, if you like, they could see a dead peice of a kobold....
(3) Kibin (whispering): aside from being able to talk that is
(3) Kibin: I wonder if you can still talk if you're paralyzed...
(1) GM: Jason: I could.
(1) GM: Jason: But then, I don't get paralyzed....
(3) Kibin: Meh, talking to the vain wizard over there.
(2) Kaylin (whispering): Hmm?
whispering to Kaylin, but it's still a transmutation to be seen through....
(2) Kaylin: Psh, if it wasn't for me, you'd not have a choice besides lupine form.
whispering to Kibin, I suppose, if you like, they could see a dead peice of a kobold....
(3) Kibin: (can you send me a tree with the treasure?)
whispering to Kaylin, sorry; typed the wrong number in the whisper earleir - discussing True Seeing with Kibin....
(3) Kibin (whispering): i believe, according to the rules, they see nothing at all.
(1) GM: (copy of node sent)
(3) Kibin: Anyone mind if I use some of these magicky items? Kind of awkward to have two sets of armor...
whispering to Kibin, Reincarnation requires something to act on, so that is what it transmutes. Dead Kobold! Wonderful sight for a Good Cleric to Truely See....
(3) Kibin (whispering): does it from the elements around it.
(4) Elorin: Which ones?
whispering to Kibin, also using the old piece.... but perhaps he would Truely See some rather bizzare amalgram of dirt and dust....
** (3) Kibin takes the the bracers of armor... And the amulet of natural armor, and the ring of protection... **
(3) Kibin: Hmmm. Maybe it would be better to put this on while I'm a dragon, so it won't fall off.
(2) Kaylin: Umm... some of us might want those...
(4) Elorin: That's a bit much
(1) GM: Jason: I suspect he's after armor he can wear... his equipment is down a might from having to trade out so often.
(4) Elorin: Can you pay for what goes beyond your fair share?
(1) GM: Jason: And we probably ought to wait until Derrel is a little more himself before determinging who gets what.
(3) Kibin: Meh. I can trade my moutdated magic items and give it to the party pool.
(3) Kibin: (what happened to derrel? :P)
(4) Elorin: (how much are your outdated items worth?)
(1) GM: (Just a little konk on the head... he's having some breif peronality trouble....)
(3) Kibin: (you're a funny DM.)
(3) Kibin: How about I just have them on loan?
(1) GM: (Let's see... the +5? Mithral Chain Shirt Barding would run roughly 27,200 gp in market price....)
(3) Kibin: (+4 actually. i skimped a bit so as to not pay as much.)
(3) Kibin: (having to change armor twice is a little harsh.)
(1) GM: (So 18,200 gp market value)
(4) Elorin: (and you should have roughly 40000 cash left after paying for the Great Warping)
(3) Kibin: (also the amulet of natural armor and protection +2
(4) Elorin: (ok, I think you have enough to trade in to the party loot pool to pay for it all)
(3) Kibin: Hmmm, I have to put clothes back on every time I switch to dragon and back, don't I.
(4) Elorin: (already have gloves of dex +4?)
(3) Kibin (whispering): can the great warpnig at least be a lot more resistant to dispel magic? it is the equivalient of a 11th level spell or so, without the components...
(3) Kibin: (bah. can't wear those in both forms.)
(3) Kibin (whispering): or maybe have it like magical items. a temporary disruption in the effect.
(4) Elorin: (you have hands in both forms, right?)
(3) Kibin: (kobold yes. dragon... not according to GM.)
whispering to Kibin, When was the last time I dropped a Dispel Magic on this party? Besides, the DC is set by caster level, not the level of the spell - So it's got a DC of 26
(3) Kibin (whispering): disruption for a day or so seems reasonable
(1) GM: (Sort-of hands; claws that are delicate enough to function as such. It's a little pointed for gloves, though, unless you get thimbles or something underneath...)
(1) GM: (in which case, you lose those two claw-based natural attacks....)
(3) Kibin: (could get clawholes in them :P)
** (3) Kibin hmmms. "We need a solution for the clothing problem..." **
(1) GM: Jason: How about a Hat of Disguise?
(3) Kibin (whispering): i'd guess that if i'm unconscious, the polymorph effect goes away
(3) Kibin (whispering): mroe interesting that way :)
(3) Kibin: A hat of what?
whispering to Kibin, you must chose when to change back....
(3) Kibin (whispering): meh. i think it's more interesting
whispering to Kibin, which you can't, while unconscious... don't get knocked out as a raven or something....
(3) Kibin (whispering): kinda reasonable that supernatural abilities that can be turned on/off is turned off while sleeping :P
(1) GM: Jason: A hat of disguise. Puts a simple glamour over you at will. Easy enough to see that it's fake, but not believing in it doesn't, in and of itself, make it fade.
(3) Kibin: Um. Wouldn't I still be naked?
(1) GM: Jason: So things might get a little chilly....
(3) Kibin: Besides, hats look silly.
(3) Kibin: Anyway, anything else we can do? Must be something that needs to be done around town.
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, it disguises itself, too; can be a helment, hair pin, or whatever.
(1) GM: Jason: We could ask around the local bars. Reward posters are alway up there....
(3) Kibin: Great... Except that I don't have hair.
(1) GM: Jason: At the moment.
(4) Elorin: (as for it being chilly, you'd still have immunity to cold from being a silver dragon)
(3) Kibin: (true seeing...)
(2) Kaylin: (Hmm, should I roleplay Kaylin as being for or against alcohol...)
(1) GM: (Lets the caster see a dead kobold walking around (the base from all the many-layered transmutations.....) which is just wonderful for a good priest to see...)
(4) Elorin: (when's Kaylin going to start looking for an Archmage?)
(2) Kaylin: (how about now?)
(1) GM: (Decent a time as any... Knoweledge(Local), Knoweledge(Arcane) or Gather Information to start)
(3) Kibin: (somethink that's curious. lizardmen and trogylobytes don't wear clothing, but kobolds do...)
(1) GM: (Knoweledge(history) if those all fail....)
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Arcana Skill Check: [1d20+23] -> [3,23] = (26)
(2) Kaylin: (goddang)
(1) GM: [20d20] -> [14,14,13,4,11,18,8,13,17,1,2,19,19,15,12,3,3,13,18,18] = (235)
(1) GM: (The roller still works.....)
(2) Kaylin: (hmm?)
(3) Kibin: (why do kobolds wear clothing? do all kobolds wear clothing?)
(2) Kaylin: (you could be a nudist if you want)
(1) GM: (comes up with reasonably random numbers... although it does seem to be favoring pairs... 1/20 chance of two identical d20 rolls right next to each other, 4 came up in that set)
(2) Kaylin: ('course, I'd have to learn Blindness...)
(2) Kaylin: (weird. Oh well.)
(2) Kaylin: (if I remembered any statistics i'd determine if that's significant
(1) GM: (Oh, another Great Warping him into a Nymph would solve that issue... Blinding Beauty.....)
(2) Kaylin: (ahahahaha)
(3) Kibin: (haven't you learned anything from belkar?
(2) Kaylin: (but then there'd be competition for the "beautiful woman" thing)
(3) Kibin: (bah. nymphs are humanoids aren't they? :)
(4) Elorin: (and I think any Nymph would automatically outclass you)
(1) GM: (Fey)
(3) Kibin: (kaylin, reptiles are kinda hard to diffrentiate from male/female :)
(2) Kaylin: (ah)
whispering to Kaylin, Anyway... you happen to know of a cabal of surprisingly powerful wizards... but you can't remember their location.
whispering to Kaylin, There is, however, a library which might have some appropriet maps....
** (3) Kibin hmms. "Anyone know if I can only do this polymorphing thingie every so often?" **
(4) Elorin: Keep trying until it doesn't work?
(1) GM: Jason: Most silver dragons can only do so three times per day... but it lasts as long as they like.
(2) Kaylin (whispering): Knowledge(local)?
(3) Kibin: Ah,
whispering to Kaylin, yep.
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Local Skill Check: [1d20+12] -> [3,12] = (15)
(2) Kaylin: (A frickin' 3 again)
(2) Kaylin: (bugger)
(3) Kibin: [1d20+0] -> [9,0] = (9)
(3) Kibin: (ack. wait, nm that)
whispering to Kaylin, fortunately, you happen to know where the library is; in town, even..... (DC not quite so bad....)
(1) GM: [20d20] -> [17,19,14,12,16,17,14,14,19,12,14,14,7,5,6,19,10,3,17,17] = (266)
(3) Kibin: (i suck at gathering information, so i just enjoy the wonders of thumbs)
(3) Kibin: (hmmm. wouldn't i be immune to alcohol? alcohol is kinda like acid.)
(2) Kaylin: While you people are off at the bar, I must visit the local library.
(3) Kibin: Ooo, I don't have to worry about pits any more, do I.
(1) GM: Jason: I think I might come with you; books are much more interesting than liquids I can't drink.
(1) GM: (Wearing a ring of feather falling?)
(3) Kibin: Jason, I might could let you use my body for a while.
(3) Kibin: (wings! :P)
(4) Elorin: I've never had much interest in alcohol anyway
(1) GM: (Only when in dragon or other form with them... and you need to worry about Anti-Magic Fields turning your back into a wolf for a little while...)
(4) Elorin: Anything in particular you're researching at the library?
(2) Kaylin: Looking for the location of a group of extremely powerful mages.
(2) Kaylin: Plus I might get lucky and find a few spells written here and there.
(3) Kibin: Jason, I could let you run around a little as me, I guess.
(4) Elorin: Sounds interesting
(4) Elorin: More interesting than the bar, at least
(3) Kibin: (why don't they have spell libraries? o.O)
(4) Elorin: (the Archmages probably do. And they probably charge a high price for admission)
(1) GM: Jason: Ah, you want to learn their secrets. Oh, and I'm not really interested in such a slight form. Besides; I find taking people's will a tad... distasteful, and only do so when the need is gets a bit high.
(3) Kibin: Slight form?
(4) Elorin: (slight=small)
(1) GM: Jason: You are kinda short; I like being able to see over counters.
(3) Kibin: Meh. Should probally save my last usage for something else. Mind if I stay in here and guard the wagon?
(1) GM: Jason: Sounds reasonable.
(3) Kibin: Guess I better change back, noone can see me in here, and I'm not as fleshy as a dragon...
(1) GM: Jason: Just remember; anything goes missing, and I can haunt you for a very long time.....
(3) Kibin: Meh. I can haunt you back.
(3) Kibin: Could you people leave already so I can change back to dragon form?
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, all right.
(3) Kibin: Clothes don't shapeshift back with you, as that blue dragon kindly showed us...
(1) GM: (Pinging Kaylin....)
(4) Elorin: (brb)
(1) GM: (Hmm... well, status line is responding again, at least; Kaylin, what was the last line you saw?)
(3) Kibin: (her openRPG froze)
(2) Kaylin: (ok, it just froze for a few minutes)
(3) Kibin: Can you people hurry up and leave?
** (2) Kaylin goes off to the library **
(1) GM: Jason follows, as does Elorin
(1) GM: At the library....
** (3) Kibin takes off his clothes, away from Derrel, and changes back into dragon form. And puts on shineys, hehe. **
(3) Kibin: (stats now?)
(1) GM: The place is solid stone, has guards watching the entrances very carefully, and seems to charge admission.....
(2) Kaylin: Admission? To a library!? A centre of learning? Philistines! Stand aside.
(3) Kibin: (btw, do i get base save bonuses? :P)
(3) Kibin: (aw man. maybe i should have went with kaylin.)
(1) GM: (Which Shinies? Base Dex 10, Str 13, Con 13; save bonuses from new stats and any equipment; so lower Reflex, possibly different Fort)
(1) GM: Philisine Guard: How did you know where I'm from?
(3) Kibin: (meh. wrymlings don't have very good stats :P)
(2) Kaylin: (lol)
(3) Kibin: (number 1 trait needed for a GM. humor.)
(4) Elorin: (back)
(1) GM: The guard puts his hand on his sword in suspicion... but doesn't draw at this time.
(2) Kaylin: "Philistine", my good man, is a description of those who are not properly interested in intellectual pursuits.
(3) Kibin: (kaylin goes V on the guard! YAY!)
(2) Kaylin: (I agree with V in many ways)
(4) Elorin: ("I found my admission slip..." "Huh? This just says 'I prepared explosive runes thi-" BOOM :P)
(1) GM: Guard: An accurate description on two counts, then. 100 gp admission fee?.
(3) Kibin: (deflect applies to touch AC?)
(1) GM: (Yep)
(3) Kibin: (pssst. dragon back at home base :)
(1) GM: (Doing what? Guarding the wagon? Or getting curious?)
(2) Kaylin: 100 gp...
(3) Kibin: (hehe. curious?)
(2) Kaylin: (GM: how tough do these guys look?)
(1) GM: The two guards on either side of the door look like they know their buisiness quite well, and are dressed down in full plate.
(3) Kibin: (nice set of statues guarding that library. ;)
(2) Kaylin: (I'd attack them but it'd be a desecration of the library... guess it's a 100 gp fee then :( )
(3) Kibin: (could change them back without them ever knowing)
(4) Elorin: (no, I think they'd remember being turned to stone)
(1) GM: Jason just slips in etherially....
(2) Kaylin: (ooh, wait. Ethereal Jaunt)
(1) GM: (Wonderful Fort save or die on getting hit with the Corresponding Stone to Flesh.....)
(2) Kaylin: (does that help companions?)
(3) Kibin: (GM, can i at least get these hitdie off of me? :P)
(3) Kibin: (9/4 BAB really sucks.)
(1) GM: (Not without a Wish or Break Enchantment... and the Magical Beast HD are full BAB.....)
(1) GM: (Miracle would work too)
(3) Kibin: (oh wait. i still get the BAB bonus?)
(1) GM: (from your two Magical Beast Wolf Hit Dice, yes; not from Dragon Hit Dice, though)
(3) Kibin: (11/6, then)
(3) Kibin: (still kinda sucks :P)
(1) GM: (11/6/1, I believe....)
(3) Kibin: (would i get anything from dragon hitdie? :P)
(3) Kibin: (ah yes.)
(4) Elorin: (no, because you don't actually have any dragon hit dice)
(1) GM: (If you had them, yes, but you don't, so no)
(3) Kibin: (meh.)
(1) GM: A few moments later, Jason re-materializes in front of the libary, and whispers "Pay the man - there is good solid reasonaing for it on a sign posted on the inside.
(1) GM: (Frozen again?)
(3) Kibin: (guess so)
(1) GM: (Hmm.... oh well... Elorin, you still online?)
(1) GM: (Unfreeze! Yay!)
(2) Kaylin: Oh. Fine, 100 gold then.
(4) Elorin: (yes)
(3) Kibin (whispering): with some inventive reading, some of this stuff could be considered physical qualities
(2) Kaylin: (not frozen, just updating spell list on openrpg... and the display was a few lines off)
(1) GM: Past the door (Jason still simply sneaks in... the hypocrite) you see the sign Jason referred to....
(1) GM: "Your Fees go to support this library - oil for the lamps, new books, the repair of old books, and keeping the guards employed and ruffians who might steal or burn the books for tinder out"
whispering to Kibin, No BAB from changing form.
(2) Kaylin: Ah. I see the fee is important then... though I am suprised the library is not maintained by the lord of the realm.
** (2) Kaylin pokes her head back outside the door **
(2) Kaylin: Sorry for the confusion, folks
(3) Kibin (whispering): bah. what about level up from XP?
(2) Kaylin: All right, let's go fiind some books! *starts becoming happy*
whispering to Kibin, well, once you finally get enough XP to make 16th, I would permit you to take a dragon HD... which you would keep, if the effect was ever destroyed.
(2) Kaylin: (what check to make, DM?)
(1) GM: (Knoweledge(Arcane) to sort through the books... by the way, what's your language list?)
(3) Kibin (whispering): anything else to stop my character from losing points in basically everything? :P
(2) Kaylin: (draconic, gnome, gnoll, goblin, sylvan, common, elven)
(2) Kaylin: (if only I was that multi-lingual in real life..)
whispering to Kibin, only the note that, once everyone else reaches 16th, you start gaining XP faster.....
(1) GM: Knoweledge(Arcane)?
(3) Kibin (whispering): meh. maybe simply an inventive wish.
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Arcana Skill Check: [1d20+23] -> [20,23] = (43)
(2) Kaylin: (YES!)
(4) Elorin: (about time)
(1) GM: You find the book you are after. Pity it's in undercommon.
(3) Kibin (whispering): AHHA! it just says BASE bab stays the same. it doesn't say anything about attack bonus.
(2) Kaylin: Ewww. Drows...
(3) Kibin (whispering): you know, i know undercommon...
whispering to Kibin, which means you get such things as Strength bonuses to your attack rolls.
whispering to Kibin, Yes, but does Kaylin Know you know?
(4) Elorin: (does Tongues allow reading the language, too?)
(3) Kibin (whispering): well. maybe with a skill check, to know that some kobolds know undercommon
whispering to Kibin, good idea....
(4) Elorin: (" This spell grants the creature touched the ability to speak and understand the language of any intelligent creature")
(4) Elorin: (no reference to spoken or written as far as understanding is concerned)
(1) GM: (Umm, for now, lets say not. I have a reason for it, really I do - plot related)
(2) Kaylin: (great)
(2) Kaylin: (so now what?)
(1) GM: Kaylin, make a Knoweledge (Dungeoneering) check.
(3) Kibin (whispering): hey. not all kobolds are underground.
whispering to Kibin, closest match I could find with such a short glance
(1) GM: Geography would work as well.
(3) Kibin (whispering): nature?
whispering to Kibin, you saying Kobolds are animals, now?
(4) Elorin: (Comprehend Languages unambiguously allows reading... to bad I didn't pick it, but it's a wiz/sor spell too...)
(3) Kibin (whispering): bah. nm.
(3) Kibin (whispering): okay. my stats officially suck now :P
(1) GM: Jason: Hmm.... Kibin knew Draconic... I wonder what else he knows.... I don't speak undercommon, though.
(1) GM: (Frozen again?)
whispering to Kibin, yes, but you have this nifty fly speed, immunity to cold, and a way to paralize people who annoy you too much.
whispering to Kibin, and you aren't suffering from LA, to boot....
(3) Kibin (whispering): don't forget acid.
(3) Kibin (whispering): maybe a wish could convert wolf racial hitdie to dragon racial hitdie? :)
(3) Kibin (whispering): meh. i'll just go for the druid.
whispering to Kibin, possibly. If well-worded.
(1) GM: Pinging Kaylin
(3) Kibin (whispering): ring of three wishes. first wish? i wish for a lawyer :D
(2) Kaylin: (aaargh)
(2) Kaylin: (I really need to get a better computer)
(3) Kibin: (kaylin. restart.)
(1) GM: Last line?
(3) Kibin (whispering): bah. too lazy to update all the skills.
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Dungeoneering Skill Check: [1d20+12] -> [8,12] = (20)
(1) GM: By the way, Elorin, what time was it you needed to be leaving?
(3) Kibin (whispering): i lose my darkvision, right?
(4) Elorin: (in about 15 minutes)
whispering to Kaylin, you remember that sometimes Kobolds learn undercommon.
(2) Kaylin: hmm, kobolds sometimes know Undercommon... do you suppose Kibin knows it?
whispering to Kibin, except that you picked up 120 foot darkvision and 60-ft blindsense from getting all the Su and Ex abliities of a Dragon, yes.
(3) Kibin (whispering): wait. nm,
(1) GM: Jason: I'll go fetch him.....
(3) Kibin (whispering): also see twice as well as a human in normal light :)
(1) GM: Jason goes etherial, and runs, full tilt, back to the wagon, then re-materializes and asks Kibin what all he can speak.
whispering to Kibin, four times, due to Draconic Keen Senses
(3) Kibin (whispering): Undercommon, draconic, common, and a little bit of wolf.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, come join us at the library, Kibin; Kaylin has a book that needs translating. Oh, and as long as I'm here......
(1) GM: Jason switches out his amulet of resistance for his Hand of the Mage, and grabs 200 gp out of his stash, then heads back to the library.
(3) Kibin: Can you stay visible so I can follow you?
(1) GM: Jason: Sure; I'm planning on paying admission anyway.
(3) Kibin: :starts following Jason, then, flying circles around him.
(1) GM: Jason grins, then goes into a full-out run (240 feet per round) and leads him on a full hour run around the city.
(1) GM: (Let's see... Jason, being undead, can do that; hustling for you (200 feet per round....) doesn't cover the speed; how long can you make the fort saves to continue running?)
(3) Kibin: (hehehe... that's not fair :P)
(1) GM: (Wait - nevermind; that's 120 feet per round.. you only need to hustle the hour....)
(2) Kaylin: (c'monn now...)
** (3) Kibin hehe. **
(1) GM: (which you can, with no issues....)
(3) Kibin: :follows Jason, doing a few circles around Jason just to show off.
(1) GM: After the hours run, Jason stops at the library. Here we are.
(1) GM: Then pays the guards 200 gp to get both Kibin and himself in, then switches his Hand of the Mage back our for his amulet of resistance.
** (3) Kibin flies into the library and lands in it, making a shakey landing in front of Kaylin and Elorin. "That was fun." **
(2) Kaylin: Glad you enjoyed yourself. Now translate please.
(1) GM: Jason: You do need to stretch those wings every now and again anyway.......
(2) Kaylin: (I'm so polite for a grey-elf...)
(3) Kibin: Anyway... Kaylin can't read a book, I've heard?
(1) GM: Jason: She can read a great many books. This one, however, is frustrating her.
** (2) Kaylin grumbles and goes off to find see if there are spells in the shelves **
whispering to Kibin, the book in question mentions breifly on the 36th page that the Archmage's Order is on the continent of Aanheidra, at the highest peak of the Dragon Tail mountains.
whispering to Kibin, It's an extremely dry tome, however. Make a will save to avoid falling asleep.
** (3) Kibin flies up to get the book, grabs the book, then lands to read the book. "Ah, it feels good to have thumbs again... **
(3) Kibin (whispering): [1d20+9] -> [8,9] = (17)
(2) Kaylin: (GM? should I make a check for this or are there even any to find?)
(3) Kibin (whispering): bah. immune ti sleep effect
whispering to Kibin, Success. You manage to keep your eye's open.
(3) Kibin (whispering): so. meh.
(1) GM: (Oh... Knoweledge (Arcana) again)
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Arcana Skill Check: [1d20+23] -> [5,23] = (28)
(2) Kaylin: (*sigh*)
(3) Kibin: (yeah. just have to hate those low 28 skill checks.
whispering to Kaylin, you find a few 1st level spells carefully hidden here and there in a few of the more obscure tomes... pick [2d4] -> [4,2] = (6) 1st level spells to be there
whispering to Kaylin, still need the time to scribe them, though....
(2) Kaylin (whispering): I choose the spells?
whispering to Kaylin, From the Sor/Wiz list, of 1st level, yes.
(4) Elorin: (time for me to go)
(4) Elorin: (see you next time)
(2) Kaylin: (bye)
(4) Elorin: Disconnecting from server...
(4) Elorin (exit): 15:24
** (3) Kibin places the book back in the shelf, then flies above the bookshelves to find Kaylin, and landing in front of her, grunting as he hits the ground hard. "Ow... I read the book for you, very boring... Couldn't you at least got an interesting book for me to read?" **
(1) GM: (Thanks for coming)
(3) Kibin (whispering): she didn't tell me exactly what she wanted read, did she?
whispering to Kibin, no, no she didn't.....
(2) Kaylin: I'm sure to one of your magical ability, it would be boring...
(3) Kibin (whispering): eh. i should still rememeber it :P
(2) Kaylin: what was in it?
(3) Kibin: Dragons are kinda magical... so meh. Um, what exactly was it that you wanted me to look for, again?
** (2) Kaylin whacks her forehead with her palm **
(2) Kaylin: The location of a group of mages.
(3) Kibin: Ah, the Archmages? On the continent of Aanheidra, at the highest peak of the dragon tail mountains, in the highest tower...
(2) Kaylin: Typical.
(3) Kibin: Hehe. Actually just on the top of the mountain. I made the tower thingie up.
** (3) Kibin shows a toothy grin to Kaylin. **
** (2) Kaylin whacks Kibin lightly **
(1) GM: Jason: Those teeth aren't quite so impressive as your last set... hmm... have you been to the dentist's recently?
(3) Kibin: (beat my 32 AC then.)
(3) Kibin: (actually, it's exactly the same. 1d6+1 damage)
(2) Kaylin: (a 0d0 Light Whack (non-ruler) does not care about AC)
(2) Kaylin: Oh, and while looking around, I found a few spells... mind if I take some time to add them to my spellbook?
** (3) Kibin gets whapped on the nose. "You know, most dragons would probally eat you for that..." **
(1) GM: Jason: Most dragons, yes... but she could dispel your dragonhood with no problems at all....
(3) Kibin: (no dispel descriptor on great warping)
(3) Kibin: (so technically, no, she can't dispel the effect :P)
(1) GM: (It's permanent, and thus an ongoing effect; check the description of Dispel Magic - a caster can automatically dispel her own spell without a roll....)
(3) Kibin (whispering): hmmm. does the great warping give you the instincts of a dragon, like reincarnation? :P
(3) Kibin: (meh.)
(2) Kaylin: (cool)
whispering to Kibin, No, but you are considered "proficient" with the included abilities, per the base, Shapechange.
(2) Kaylin: Come to think of it, I'm done here.
(2) Kaylin: *purrs* but libraries are so much fun....
(1) GM: (Knoweledge: Geography to know where, exactly, that continent and those mountains are hiding.....)
(3) Kibin (whispering): please? :P
(3) Kibin (whispering): would be reasonable
(2) Kaylin: (c'mon, roller. not a 3, not a 3, not a 3...)
(2) Kaylin: Knowledge: Geography Skill Check: [1d20+12] -> [13,12] = (25)
(2) Kaylin: (13.. pretty close to 3...)
whispering to Kaylin, nearly a thousand miles away, to the south. Prepare for very hot weather. 600 miles of ocean in the way.
(3) Kibin: Anything else you want me to fall asleep reading?
(2) Kaylin: Explosive Runes?
(2) Kaylin: *cough*
whispering to Kaylin, as well as 150 miles of mountanious territory, and 200 miles of desert.
(2) Kaylin: Hmm... Aanheidra is a loong way away.
(1) GM: Jason: How far?
(2) Kaylin: almost 1,000 miles.
(1) GM: Jason: Let's see... that's only about two days run. What's the problem?
(3) Kibin: Too bad you didn't change me into a larger dragon...
(1) GM: Jason: Maybe four. Not so bad.
(2) Kaylin: 600 miles of ocean
(2) Kaylin: (250 miles in a day? how the heck can you walk that fast?)
(3) Kibin: Rent a mage and use teleport?
(1) GM: Jason: That would hardly stop me. Oh, wait.... you are limitied by terrain....
(3) Kibin: Meh, would take about 8 days for me.
(1) GM: (Undead: Immune to fatigue effects. Results of too much running: Fatigue)
(2) Kaylin: (ah... sheesh)
(1) GM: (Combine that with no need to sleep - at all - and Jason can get places in short periods of time.)
(1) GM: Jason: Well... if you brought something to rest on in the water.... I could probably whip up some horses that could deal with the ocean.
(1) GM: Jason: Just don't examine them too closely.... and maybe drop the Archmagi's robes for the trip, and you should be fine.
(2) Kaylin: Yeah, you just want me to drop my clothes... :P
(2) Kaylin: good thing I have spare outfits
(1) GM: Jason: Well, the horses I'd build don't take kindly to spell resistance.
(2) Kaylin: naturally.
(2) Kaylin: All right, that sounds good to me.
(3) Kibin (whispering): btw. don't dragons have the ability to fly longer? they check for nonlethal damage every 2 hours, not one hour
(3) Kibin: Wonder why the mountains are named the way they are...
whispering to Kibin, yep
(1) GM: Jason: Who knows? Maybe you will find some relatives.
(2) Kaylin: Because there's a hydra in there *smirks*
(3) Kibin (whispering): okay, so maybe dragon isn't that bad.
(2) Kaylin: Just don't spend too long visiting family.
(3) Kibin: Meh, with all the changes I go through, it's a wonder how I'm still able to remember how to walk.
(1) GM: Jason: Much less fly.
(3) Kibin: We could just get someone to teleport us, you know.
(1) GM: Jason: Yeah, but that's expensive. If we simply pick up some kind of boat that can be carried while on horseback, I can handle most the transportation end of things.
(3) Kibin: How fast would we go?
(1) GM: Jason: Hmm... can you shrink items?
(3) Kibin (whispering): psssst. folding boat.
(2) Kaylin: After the ocean, there's a lot of mountain and desert to cross too, by the way.
(3) Kibin: Hehe, mountains are easy.
(2) Kaylin: They're full of rocks
(1) GM: Jason: Oh... about 22 miles an hour, assuming we don't push the phantom steeds to hard, and I can use that nifty stone that gives my spells a little more oomph.
(3) Kibin: Which I can easily fly over...
(3) Kibin: So, how long would that take us?
(2) Kaylin: Thank you for pointing that out.
(2) Kaylin: Now, for those of us who can't fly, it might take a little longer.
(3) Kibin: There's always Elorin that can help us.
(3) Kibin: How fast would it take with his windwalk thingie?
(1) GM: Jason: Let's see.... about 28 hours of actual travel for the ocean itself, and 45 for the entire trip.
(2) Kaylin: Can windwalk take our supplies with us?
(3) Kibin: Hmmmm.
(3) Kibin: Just put everything in a bag of holding.
(1) GM: Jason: May have to leave the cart behind, though... pity.
(3) Kibin: Okay, so I guess phantom steed. Two days, then.
(2) Kaylin: Acceptable.
(1) GM: Kaylin: Knoweledge (Arcane) or Spellcraft for details on Windwalk
(3) Kibin: We could put the stuff in a boat...
(2) Kaylin: I wish there was an alternative to leaving the wagon and carriage behind, though.
(2) Kaylin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+30] -> [6,30] = (36)
(2) Kaylin: (I hate low rolls, don't you?)
** (3) Kibin twitches his wings. "Can we get back to the wagon already? **
whispering to Kaylin, Windwalk: converts all attended equipment and gives 600 feet/round (60 MPH)
(2) Kaylin (whispering): Including a wagon?
whispering to Kaylin, no, unfortunately; wagon doesn't quite qualify as "attended"
(2) Kaylin: Hmm, well, Windwalk will take most of our equipment... let's head on back to the wagon.
(1) GM: Jason: All right, I'm game.
(1) GM: Back at the wagon.....
** (3) Kibin flies back to the wagon, staying high in the air so that people won't wonder. **
** (3) Kibin waits for the other people to get to the wagon, sitting on a cloud. **
(3) Kibin: (did kaylin freeze again?)
(1) GM: (Would appear so)
(3) Kibin: (unfroze now.)
** (2) Kaylin pops back to the wagon **
(2) Kaylin: (yeah, sorry. this computer is a little on the old side...)
** (3) Kibin is sitting on a cloud, above the wagon. Ooo, birds. **
(3) Kibin: (heh.)
(1) GM: Jason wanders up and says Hi to Kibin, standing on the cloud himself.
(1) GM: Jason: So, ready to come back down to earth?
(3) Kibin: Hehe, why not.
** (3) Kibin jumps off, flying at 120 miles an hour for a few seconds before slowing down, pulling up, and landing in the wagon. **
(1) GM: Jason then heads back down to the wagon, and greets Kaylin
(3) Kibin: (whoosh :)
(3) Kibin: (speedy.)
(2) Kaylin: Hi Jason
** (3) Kibin flies into the wagon with Jason, sitting down. "Hehe, did you know silver dragons can stand on clouds? Kinda cool." **
(1) GM: Jason: Yep. Which is fine, as Silver dragons are immune to the cold. Just don't get in the way of the lightning....
(3) Kibin: Lightning is below the clouds. Above, perfectly safe. Besides, not grounded.
(2) Kaylin: (grounding matters? Lightning bolt won't be so effective...)
(1) GM: Jason: I always knew you were a little off kilter.....
(2) Kaylin: Off your rocker, as we say..
(1) GM: (only for non-magical lightning.... but lightning grounds itself, and will rip through airplanes in flight - plastic ones burn and melt, metal ones are mostly unaffected - happens fairly often)
(3) Kibin: (well. not if i'm above the clouds.)
(2) Kaylin: (then the UFOs get you)
(1) GM: (Well, once they get him, they are identified fairly quickly....)
(3) Kibin: (oh yeah... i saw a cow floating up there...)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
(3) Kibin: Um, what exactly was that supposed to mean?
(2) Kaylin: Nothing.
** (2) Kaylin looks innocent **
(3) Kibin: Okay... Um, I guess we travel onward, then?
(1) GM: Jason: "Grounded" is another term for "sane".... and you just said you weren't.
(3) Kibin: Well, what with being a kobold, dragon, wolf, 12-headed hydra...
(3) Kibin: Dying at least once...
(1) GM: Jason: Well, I suppose we should get to marching ... but first, we proabably ought to figure out what to do about the wagon, carriage, and horses - I don't think we can realy bring them along.
(2) Kaylin: There's probalby stable where the horses could take care of themselves....
(3) Kibin: Waterproof the wagon?
(1) GM: Jason: Now that's a good idea... Kaylin, do you happen to know Polymorph Any Object?
(2) Kaylin: No. It's rather high-level...
(3) Kibin: Heh, if you don't mind being a little cold, I could seal the wagon in ice. Ice is waterproof.
(2) Kaylin: Ice also melts.
(1) GM: (Did you reach 15th yet? As a Wizard(ess) 15th is when you pick up your fist 8th level spells, where the spell in question resides.)
(2) Kaylin: (yeah... well, I chose Horrid Wilting and Polar Ray)
(3) Kibin: (grease would work)
(1) GM: Jason: Well, if you don't know it, I suppose you could learn it?
(3) Kibin: (i think.)
(2) Kaylin: If I have a scroll of it, I certainly could.
(3) Kibin: Hmmm, wonder what I would eat...
(1) GM: Jason: I suppose then I could buy you one..... then we could take the wagon, turn it into a boat when we reach the water, and back into a wagon when we reach land.
(1) GM: Jason: Slower going that way, though. May need to hire a sailor or two.
(3) Kibin: Why?
(1) GM: Jason: There might be storm or two on the open sea, and I'd rather not lose most my worldly goods in one.
(1) GM: Jason: Also, have you forgotten about the Sorceror that keeps sending demons our way?
(3) Kibin: Couldn't you stick it somewhere, like that lady did?
(1) GM: Jason: You mean the diamond shop keeper?
(3) Kibin: Yup.
(1) GM: Jason: I don't think I'm quite up to that... but if you picked up Shirnk Item, Kaylin.... that might work.
(2) Kaylin: (I'm going to have to branch out from blaster mage, I see...)
(1) GM: Jason: Nah, the boats too large.
(3) Kibin: She could just learn teleport.
(2) Kaylin: Are you suggesting that I travel there, teleport back, and then teleport all our stuff back?
(3) Kibin: Well... it would be faster.
(2) Kaylin: Feasible..
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, except for the wagon and the horses, it could likely be done in a single trip... just be wary of which Teleport you use....
(3) Kibin: (are dragons quadrupeds?)
(1) GM: (When they wish to be)
(3) Kibin: (ah.)
(1) GM: (They are quite comforable moveing on four limbs, but can do two when needed)
(1) GM: (how else do you think they get two claw attacks in combat?)
(3) Kibin: Hmmm, before we go, could we maybe get a backpack or something for me? To carry stuff around with.
(3) Kibin: (they have some cat DNA?
(1) GM: (Hmm... dragon vs. woman = Catfight? Nah.)
(1) GM: Jason: For that matter, with Polymorph Any Object, you might even be able to convince the wagon to be a boat that would sail itself.....
(2) Kaylin: True... might be wise to learn it, then.
(1) GM: Jason: Care to split the cost of a scroll? It's mostly to preserve my investment, after all, but you will gain much from the knowing.
(3) Kibin: You know, why have you been carrying that stuff around for a thousand years?
(2) Kaylin: Certainly, splitting the cost sounds reasonable
(2) Kaylin: well, generous on your part... unlike the dragon here :P
(1) GM: Jason: Well... most of it is recent; the wagon, horses, and such were picked up shortly after I met Derrel. It's the stuff I carry on my back that I've had since the day I died.
(1) GM: Jason: Let's see... it's a 3,000 gp scroll... do you still have the recources to cover half that?
(2) Kaylin: Indeed
(1) GM: Jason: Let's do so, then....
(3) Kibin: If you're going shopping, can you get a backpack for me as well?
(1) GM: Jason: You will need to be fitted for one. It's... unlikely they have something for a small dragon in stock.
(1) GM: Jason: And there's the issue of working around your wings....
(3) Kibin: Ah, probally.
(1) GM: Jason: Shall we go, fair elven maiden?
(3) Kibin: A small neckpouch for gold, then?
(2) Kaylin: Indeed, handsome spirit.
(1) GM: At Ye Olde Shoppe of Majgicke, they do indeed have the scroll in stock.
(2) Kaylin: (nice smooth talking there...)
(1) GM: Jason hands over his share of the gold... telekenetically, of course.
** (2) Kaylin pays up **
(1) GM: And the Shoppe keeper hands over the scroll.
(1) GM: Meanwhile, Kibin, at the Tailors again....
(3) Kibin: (as a dragon this time? :P)
** (2) Kaylin begins inscribing the spell **
(1) GM: Tailor: And what does one of the noble breed need from my humble shop?
(1) GM: (I'm assuming so)
(1) GM: (considering you want your draconic form fitted)
(3) Kibin: Something to carry items in would be nice.
(1) GM: Tailor: Ah, quite the conundrum. Your back doesn't do so well with a backpack... perhaps a belly pouch or something for your neck?
(3) Kibin: That would work too, I guess.
(1) GM: Tailor: Which?
(3) Kibin: Neckpouch would be convinent.
(1) GM: Tailor: Let's see... a small, plain, pitiful pouch on a leather cord would cost a single gold piece. But why would someone of your great lineiage want something so mundane?
(1) GM: Tailor: A gold or silver chain, now.....
(1) GM: Tailor: Perhaps a silk pouch....
(2) Kaylin: (flattery will get you rich :D)
(1) GM: Tailor: Sure, they cost more..... but they are much more impressive in social situations.
(1) GM: (commonly)
(3) Kibin: I think leather would do fine.
(1) GM: Tailor: As you wish....
(2) Kaylin: (social situations with a dragon?)
(3) Kibin: (why not?)
(1) GM: The tailor quickly makes a simple leather string for a belt pouch he has in stock, and shows it to the silver dragon for inspection.
(2) Kaylin: (doesn't that tend to just be eating-virgins or something?)
(1) GM: Tailor: Poor work, but how much can be done with mere leather?
(3) Kibin: Okay then, a silver chain.
(1) GM: (Only for the evil dragons; besides, of course dragons need social interation - how else do little dragon eggs come about)
(1) GM: The Tailor smiles, and shows you a flashy silver chain, with a price tag of 10 gp.
(3) Kibin: That will do, let me get the money.
(2) Kaylin: (ah yes. little dragons)
** (3) Kibin flies off, then comes back with 10 gp in his claws to pay. **
(1) GM: (YOu know - Wyrmlings....)
(1) GM: (although apparently we have a different answer to that question, now....)
(3) Kibin: (surprised the GM didn't make the visual effect an egg forming around me :P0
(2) Kaylin: ("mommy, where do baby dragons come from?")
(1) GM: The tailor gleefully accepts the gold, and hands over the pouch and chain.
** (3) Kibin slips it on, thanks the tailor, and flies off back to the wagon. **
** (3) Kibin wonders what Kaylin is going to say. **
(2) Kaylin: (whenever I make it back)
(1) GM: (I've been presuming you scribe under the "don't see me" aspects of the wagon....)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
(2) Kaylin: (oh yeah... oops)
(2) Kaylin: Ooh, silver necklace. Looks good on you
(3) Kibin: (you can choose the effect, can't you?)
(3) Kibin: Hehe. Matches my scales, don't you think?
(2) Kaylin: It does
(1) GM: (Effect of which? Appearance? Sure.)
(1) GM: Jason: Very nearly can't be seen, almost gives the impression that the bag is simply floating right under your neck....
(2) Kaylin: very impressive.
(3) Kibin: Anyway, I guess we wait till morning, for Kaylin to prepare?
(2) Kaylin: (yep)
(3) Kibin: (that was IC.)
(3) Kibin: Need to rest, tiring day...
(2) Kaylin: Quite so.
(1) GM: Jason: Would seem so. The horses haven't been exercised today; I could start us along while you sleep.
(3) Kibin: You had a tiring 4 days.
(2) Kaylin: Ok, I'll go rest then.
(1) GM: (two days, as I recell, for the spell...)
** (3) Kibin curls up near his gold and sleeps. **
** (2) Kaylin adopts a meditative pose on the carriage **
(3) Kibin: (yeah. but there's the day before and after)
(1) GM: Jason telekenetically hooks up both sets of horses, then has Elorin take the carriage, while Jason handles the wagon.
(1) GM: And the party heads south....
(1) GM: Let's see.. in eight hours, that's 16 miles....
(3) Kibin: (horses are sloooooow.)
(1) GM: (only when drawing a wagon... which tomorrow, might very wall travel under it's own power....)
(3) Kibin: (i could fly that far in what? a little over an hour?)
(1) GM: (Under, at a hustle)
(3) Kibin: (hehe.)
** (3) Kibin wakes up in the morning, stretching his wings and legs. **
** (2) Kaylin prepares reality-altering spells of POWER **
** (3) Kibin decides to sneak out while Kaylin is preparing her spells, flying around. **
(1) GM: When everyone awakes, they find the wagon parked out in the middle of nowhere; a nice, bland, generic plain next to a nice, bland, generic forest.
(3) Kibin: (what exactly do dragons eat? :P)
(1) GM: (Oh.... I'm thinking they are carnivores....)
(2) Kaylin: (eat some wolves or kobolds)
(3) Kibin: (okay, so i fly down and eat kaylin...)
(1) GM: (You find, however, that your grapple check is no match for Jason's...)
(3) Kibin: (she'll never know what hit her.)
(2) Kaylin: (oh, but Jason will.)
(3) Kibin: (when i swoop in from 120 miles an hour! :D)
(3) Kibin: (fine fine. i eat some deer.)
(1) GM: (Telekenisis long range - can catch you while still a turn or more away)
(3) Kibin: (would take what? about 10 minutes? :P)
(1) GM: (Survival check?)
(3) Kibin: [1d20+9] -> [17,9] = (26)
(3) Kibin: (see? quick food. doesn't take long to find a deer from the sky, swoop down, and sneakattack it. :P)
(1) GM: You find a whole herd of deer. Pity you only need a small portion of one, and can't carry off the weight....
(3) Kibin: (then... i eat one deer. :P)
(3) Kibin: (hey, what's wrong with gorging? not going to get food for another day or so...)
(3) Kibin: (wolves do it all the time.)
(1) GM: Jason, meanwhile, feeds the horses out of the feed in the back of the wagon.
(1) GM: An hour after Kaylin wakes....
** (3) Kibin wipes the blood off of his mouth and claws before flying back to a cloud to wait for Kaylin to finish. **
(1) GM: Jason: So, do you think you have that new Polymoph ready?
** (3) Kibin wonders how good Jason's sight is. **
(1) GM: (during the day? Quite good. At night? 60-foot darkvision)
(3) Kibin: (can you see a small dragon a mile or two up? :P)
(1) GM: (Can you see something stalking you on the Etherial plane?)
(1) GM: (Kaylin?)
(1) GM: (Frozen again?)
(9) Kibin (enter): 16:53
(9) Kibin: (can you see a small dragon a mile or two up? :P)
(1) GM: (Can you see something stalking you on the Etherial plane?)
(1) GM: (that can technically possess something without actually manifesting?)
(9) Kibin: (maybe with blindsense :P)
(3) Kibin (exit): 16:54
(9) Kibin: (okay, so i'm sitting on a cloud a couple miles up, looking down on the wagon below.
(1) GM: (unfortunately, something that's etherial doesn't give the nonvisual cues that blindsense relies on....)
(9) Kibin: (meh. you wouldn't be that evil.)
(1) GM: (You saw his fist story of avenging his own death, right?)
(9) Kibin: (but it was against someone who was EVIL)
(2) Kaylin: Yes, I have the polymorph ready
(9) Kibin: (how fast is terminal velocity?)
(2) Kaylin: (sorry, went to the bathroom and a Search check found an empty tea-mug)
(1) GM: (Let's see... if you fly, at a run, striaght down... you get... 100 ft * 4 * 2 which, with D&D math, makes 500 feet in one round. If you simply fall, you make 300 feet.)
(1) GM: Jason unhooks the wagon.
(9) Kibin: (miles an hour?)
(9) Kibin: (bah. i'll go weeee again in a little while, a silver bullet at 120 miles an hour)
(1) GM: (Funny... but feet/round divided by 10 is the approximation used for miles per hour....)
(9) Kibin: (for an entire minute. :_
(9) Kibin: ( : )
(9) Kibin: (who needs rollercoasters, lol.)
(1) GM: Jason: Would you mind polymorphing the wagon into an Animated Object of itself?
(1) GM: Jason: It should just barely be within your size limits for the spell....
(9) Kibin: (you people all look like tiny insignifigant dots.)
(2) Kaylin: All right. And I prepared a second for the carriage.
(9) Kibin: (kaylin. always thinking so that we can laugh at her vanity :D)
** (9) Kibin jumps down, quickly picking up maximum speeds, speeding down to the ground below. Weeee.... **
(9) Kibin: (it'll be 10 rounds till i reach the ground...)
(1) GM: Jason, seeing the poor dragon plummeting to it's doom, interceeds.....
(2) Kaylin: (yeah, yeah... next character I roleplay won't be quite so vain)
(1) GM: Ghost Telekenesis: Manuvers: Standard Action, Concentration: Combat Manuvers (Disarm, Trip, Grapple (Pin), Bull Rush) 12 rounds; +12 for Base Attack, +Cha Mod (10) for dex/str due to method), Wait: [1d4] -> [4] = (4)
(9) Kibin: (hey, it's still a while till i'm in site)
(9) Kibin: (sight)
(1) GM: Touch: [1d20+22] -> [12,22] = (34), grapple: [1d20+22] -> [6,22] = (28)
(1) GM: Opposed?
(9) Kibin: (escape artist. :)
(9) Kibin: [1d20+15] -> [11,15] = (26)
(9) Kibin: (bah.)
(1) GM: ... and you are grappled and halted before hitting the ground.
(9) Kibin: (what about a will check? i'm having fun here.)
(9) Kibin: (HOW long before i hit the ground?)
(1) GM: (Doesn't apply to the manuevers portion of the spell; SR doesn't apply because it's Su.)
(9) Kibin: (SR?)
(1) GM: (Spell Resistance. Now, if he had simply tried to lift you....)
(1) GM: (Then you would have had a will save, but no opposed grapple check.)
** (9) Kibin growls as he floats above Jason. "Aw, just trying to have some fun. I would have pulled up after half a minute or so." **
(1) GM: Jason: Really? Oops. I'll try better next time.
(1) GM: Pin attempt: [1d20+22] -> [1,22] = (23)
(9) Kibin: [1d20+15] -> [1,15] = (16)
(1) GM: And, at Jason's option, you can't speak.
** (9) Kibin growls as he's pinned to the ground. **
(9) Kibin: (can still do a cone of cold at jason. :)
** (2) Kaylin laughs **
(1) GM: (Not pinned to the ground - pinned to the air..... so much more amusing.)
(1) GM: Jason: I suppose I ought to let him go....
** (9) Kibin breathes a cone of cold at Jason to get him to stop, being careful not to hit Kaylin. **
(1) GM: Jason relaxes his grip on the little dragon.
(9) Kibin: (too late :P)
(1) GM: Incorporeal miss chance; 50 or less misses [1d100] -> [54] = (54)
(9) Kibin: (DC 17 to dodge, :)
(2) Kaylin: Don't fight you two...
(9) Kibin: (and... it hits!)
(1) GM: Reflex save: [1d20+11] -> [2,11] = (13)
(9) Kibin: [2d8] -> [5,1] = (6)
(2) Kaylin: Jeez, you two.
(9) Kibin: (wow. actually did damage to Jason.)
(9) Kibin: (i guess i'm about 10 feet above the ground? :P)
(1) GM: (all of siz points, yes...)
(1) GM: (and yes, about 10 feet above the ground. No longer being held in place, though.)
** (9) Kibin flaps his wings in desperation as he falls the rest of the 10 feet, no momentum to keep him aloft. **
(1) GM: (DC 20 reflex save to recover from the forced stall....)
(9) Kibin: [1d20+14] -> [15,14] = (29)
(1) GM: (congrats - landed successfully.)
** (9) Kibin makes it out just in time, swooping above the ground to land on the ground. "Please don't do that again..." **
(2) Kaylin: Who hit who with a cone of cold?
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, all right. Unless you turn evil or something.
(9) Kibin: (jason says nothing about the cone of cold actually hitting him? :P)
(9) Kibin: (probally the first time he's experienced cold in a while :)
(1) GM: (for a mere 6 damage? He'll be fine tomorrow completely on his own)
(9) Kibin: (or get hit by something, for that matter.)
(9) Kibin: (he's still cold :P)
(1) GM: (actually, he was killed by a dragon in one of the earlier episodes, when it was just him and Derrel)
(2) Kaylin: (wow)
(9) Kibin: (still. COLD! )
(1) GM: (The dragon was quite upset at having been grappled so much that the Paladin could just keep wailing away with no recourse)
(1) GM: (undead, and minor injury only. He doesn't have a body temperature)
(9) Kibin: (and i still did a bit of damage to him. :P)
(9) Kibin: (he could still be cold x.x)
(1) GM: Jason: Well, cast your spell... although you will need to direct them, after, as you are the one that makes them.
(1) GM: Jason: Hmm... probably should have sold the horses earlier...
(9) Kibin: Jason, I didn't hurt you much, did I?
(1) GM: Jason looks over himself a little...
(1) GM: Jason: Just a few minor scratches. Nothing that won't be forgotten by tomorrow.
(2) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Polymorph Any Object ( level 8, "Changes any subject into anything else." )
(2) Kaylin: (oops, once per day only. )
(9) Kibin: You
(9) Kibin: You'd think you wouldn't use double negatives after a thousand years...
(9) Kibin: Kinda surprised I hit you, actually.
(9) Kibin: (bonus spells from int. ;)
(1) GM: Jason: I'm not. Been hit by draconic breath before. Yours is quite refreshing, compared to that blast.
(1) GM: (8th level spell with a +7 Int Mod = no bonus 8th level spells)
(1) GM: (A +8 Int mod, on the other hand....)
(9) Kibin: Got hit by fire, I guess?
(2) Kaylin: (hm.)
(9) Kibin: (pssst. cast intelligence boosting spell when you prepare. ;)
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, I don't remember all that clearly. Probably was.
(9) Kibin: (ah well. no carriage, then.)
(1) GM: (wouldn't help, as it wouldn't stack with the headband she already wears)
(9) Kibin: Meh, my breath is kind of weak...
(9) Kibin: Did Kaylin cast the spell yet?
(1) GM: Jason: Only the one? That's okay. It should be a permanent affect. We can do so again tomorrow.
(2) Kaylin: Ok.
(1) GM: (Yep, although she didn't specify what form, exactly, I've been running under the assumption that she did as requested)
(9) Kibin: Meh, I have to stay here another day?
(1) GM: (So unless Violist specifies otherwise....)
(9) Kibin: (did violist make the wagon more comfy? :)
(2) Kaylin: (nope)
(1) GM: (it's now an Animated Object of a Wagon, created by Kaylin; 60 foot base move (wheeled), construct, so no fatigue effects apply)
(9) Kibin: (she can, after all, make it whatever she wants.)
(2) Kaylin: (I'll polymorph YOU into a velvet cushion soon :)
(1) GM: (Large, Wheeled, Animated Object)
(1) GM: (obeys Kaylin....)
(9) Kibin: (she can add comfy cushions :)
(1) GM: (until dispelled)
(9) Kibin: (beds.)
(9) Kibin: (compartments to store loot.)
(2) Kaylin: (let's make this a Batman-style wagon..)
(9) Kibin: (woot!)
(9) Kibin: (she likes my comfy idea!)
(9) Kibin: (she can also make it a little larger, so she's not as cramped :D)
(2) Kaylin: (it's comfy :D)
(1) GM: (size limits on Polymorph Any Object - can't make it more than caster level * 100 cubic feet - 1500 cubic feet is 15x10x10)
(9) Kibin: (comeon. enclosed wagon, comfy seats, windows, lockable chests built into the floorboards...)
(9) Kibin: (bah. that's still fairly large.)
(9) Kibin: (so... is it comfy now? :))
(9) Kibin: (and enclosed with doors and carpet? :D)
(9) Kibin: (cushions :D)
(2) Kaylin: (haha... I think it's just portable for now)
(9) Kibin: (comeon. be inventive.)
(9) Kibin: (please?)
(1) GM: (limited to Kaylin's ideas at the time of original casting - which basically amounted to "make it mobile")
** (9) Kibin flies up onto the wagon. "Aw, no comfy seats?" **
(1) GM: (However, the feed for the horses should be rather soft....)
(2) Kaylin: You're a dragon, you'd tear up fancy seating.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, let's get a move on. Perhaps there will be a farmer in a day or so who can buy a horse....
(1) GM: Jason: Or four.
(1) GM: Jason: Just think; tomorrow, we can have a Horseless Carriage.
(2) Kaylin: Oooh.
(9) Kibin: Can she add comfy seats?
(9) Kibin: And stuff to store stuff in?
(2) Kaylin: And if I had an evening gown I could go to some fancy ball...
** (9) Kibin grins another toothy grin. **
(2) Kaylin: and then fry every single rich prick there...
(1) GM: (The existing carriage already has comfy seats....)
(9) Kibin: (haven't been in there yet :P)
(2) Kaylin: (it's a classy thing. That's why I ride in it :P)
(9) Kibin: (so how would i know?)
(1) GM: (Windows?)
(2) Kaylin: (it's a covered carriage, right?)
(9) Kibin: (meh. who looks in windows.)
(1) GM: (The carriage, yes.)
(1) GM: (as beffiting a carriage for a Countess, soon to be queen.)
(9) Kibin: Hmmm, I haven't been in that carriage yet. Is it nice?
(1) GM: (that died....)
(2) Kaylin: Yes
(1) GM: Jason: Looked inside earlier. You wouldn't like it. Doesn't match your scales.
(9) Kibin: Ooo, could I sleep in it?
(2) Kaylin: No, you can't sleep in it.
(2) Kaylin: well, you could, but Jason is right
(1) GM: Jason: After all, you might be scried for again....
(1) GM: Jason: Seems to have quite the "blue" motif.
(9) Kibin: Wood doesn't exactly match, either.
** (9) Kibin flies over to the carriage and looks for himself. **
(2) Kaylin: Hmm. I don't like the blue motif....
(1) GM: Jason: True, but your claws don't wreck wood nearly so easily as silk.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, you can probably change it tomorrow, if you like.
(2) Kaylin: If you're going to be in here, change form...
(9) Kibin: Meh. Too much trouble.
(2) Kaylin: After the carriage. A green theme would go with my jewelry better...
(9) Kibin: You could make cushions that aren't harmed by claws.
(2) Kaylin: (ahh, it's nice being a wizard. Reality doesn't match your outfit? Change reality.)
(1) GM: Jason: And anyone who is envious would match!
(2) Kaylin: You're too kind. *smiles at Jason*
(1) GM: Jason: Anyway, you should probably breakfast, and we can continue.....
(9) Kibin: Hehe, silver kind of goes with green.
(9) Kibin: I'm full, already had breakfast.
(1) GM: Jason hooks the spare horses up behind the carriage, and steers it, letting Kaylin talk to the Wagon.
(2) Kaylin: Here wagon wagon wagon... heeere wagon..
(1) GM: The wagon comes to Kaylin, under it's own power.
(1) GM: Well... Kaylin's power, but she gave it to the wagon, and would gain nothing by taking it back....
(9) Kibin: I guess we wait till tomorrow, then?
(1) GM: Jason: Oh, we can get some traveling in today, just not as quickly.
(9) Kibin: Wonder if there's any other towns around.
(1) GM: Jason: Once both are converted, however, we can leave the horses in the dust.
(9) Kibin: Mmm, white meat.
(1) GM: Jason: Well, I don't see any from here.... there might be one further down the road, however.
(2) Kaylin: Hey! none of that.
(1) GM: Jason: I'd much prefer to sell them than let you eat them. I bought them, after all.
(9) Kibin: Hehe, just joking. I could fly ahead and check.
(2) Kaylin: Please do so
(1) GM: Jason: Not a bad idea. Shall we catch up with the contrivences?
(1) GM: Jason takes the carriage, at it's whopping 2 miles an hour, further on down the road.
** (9) Kibin jumps forward, and flies forward, quickly flying forward and far above. **
(1) GM: Spot check?
(9) Kibin: [1d20+11] -> [19,11] = (30)
(9) Kibin (whispering): don't forget, i can see a lot better now too :)
** (2) Kaylin lies back in the carriage feeling luxurious **
(1) GM: [1d20+25] -> [2,25] = (27)
(9) Kibin (whispering): i think i owned whoever was trying to hide :P
whispering to Kibin, you spy a large demon trying vainly to hide from your prying eyes.
(9) Kibin (whispering): where?
(1) GM: (Chilling out a little ways into the forest, about three miles up the trail)
(1) GM: (gah! forgot to whisper. Oh well.)
(9) Kibin (whispering): i fly above the clouds then, along my present course, then circle back, flying above the obscuring shroud of the clouds
(9) Kibin (whispering): and hustling
whispering to Kibin, Hide check?
(9) Kibin (whispering): [1d20+15] -> [19,15] = (34)
(1) GM: [1d20+25] -> [14,25] = (39)
(9) Kibin (whispering): i think some distance penalties go in there too :P
whispering to Kibin, fortunately, the distance penalties help out immensely....
(9) Kibin (whispering): and silver kinda matches with the clouds and the sky. :)
(9) Kibin (whispering): and i get +5 from size. o.O
(1) GM: (+4)
whispering to Kibin, it must look awfully strange hearing 1/3rd the conversation....
** (9) Kibin comes back down from the clouds, making a small hole in the cloud as he desends straight down back to the wagon. "Hehe, flying is fun. Anyway, there's a large demon about three miles up the road... **
(1) GM: Jason: Well, good thing you scouted ahead, then.
(2) Kaylin: Hmm.. a demon....
(9) Kibin: (do AoOs apply to flying?)
(1) GM: (Yes.)
(9) Kibin: (hmmm.)
(9) Kibin: (hmmm. does my multiattack feat thingie still apply to my bite?)
(1) GM: (to bite and bite only; you may use the two claws as secondary natural attacks, at a -5 penalty)
(9) Kibin: (of course, i could attack better by a normal full attack...)
(9) Kibin: (thought claws were primary, bite was secondary?
(9) Kibin: (wait. both bite AND claws are primary...
(1) GM: (For many creatures, that would be so; for a dragon, the bite is primary. Full attack Normal: 11/6/1; Full attack, Natural: 11 (bite)/6(claw)/6(claw))
(9) Kibin: (wait. nm.)
(9) Kibin: (yup, bite is primary)
(9) Kibin: So, what exactly do we do? Face the demon?
(1) GM: Jason: Probably. We've slaughtered many a demon before this one.
(2) Kaylin: Smells like.... victory
(2) Kaylin: (hheehe... quotes for the win)
(9) Kibin: I think you should stay away from fireball smoke.
(2) Kaylin: Be that way...
(9) Kibin: Okay, I guess we go, then.
(1) GM: Then you continue up the trail.....
(1) GM: Near the promised point... spot checks, again.
(9) Kibin: Hmmm, wonder if I could fly in the forest.
(2) Kaylin: We should sneak up on it.
(2) Kaylin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+4] -> [14,4] = (18)
(9) Kibin: [1d20+11] -> [20,11] = (31)
(2) Kaylin: (gah)
(1) GM: [1d20+25] -> [16,25] = (41)
(9) Kibin: (man i'm getting nice spot checks.)
(9) Kibin: (bah.)
(1) GM: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+10] -> [12,10] = (22)
(2) Kaylin: (And I get low Knowledge checks)
(1) GM: Kibin, you get a +10 for knowning where to look.... and see it... barely.
(9) Kibin (whispering): what does the see twice as well in normal light do anyway?
whispering to Kibin, means that where a human would have shadowy illumination, you have daylight equivlanet; with 4x, where an elf would have shadowy illumination, you have daylight. A torch rated at Bright 20/foot radius, shadowy 40 foot radius, you would see bright for an 80 foot radius and shadowy for 160
whispering to Kibin, which is just barely outside your darkvision range....
(9) Kibin (whispering): ah. so distance checks are probally halfed, as well.
(9) Kibin (whispering): i get lowlight vision :)
(1) GM: Anyway... the demon charges!
(9) Kibin (whispering): according to the dragon type, anyway.
(2) Kaylin: Ah, there's the bugger.
(9) Kibin: [1d20+1] -> [12,1] = (13)
(9) Kibin: (my initiative check. please don't laugh, my initiative flew the hoop.)
(1) GM: (big blue thing...)
(9) Kibin: (ooo. it's that ice thingie?)
(2) Kaylin: (eeek)
(9) Kibin: (initiative checks, anyone?)
(9) Kibin: (hello?)
(2) Kaylin: [1d20 + 2] -> [18,2] = (20)
(1) GM: Monster: [1d20+5] -> [14,5] = (19)
(9) Kibin: (i believe we all get initiative checks...)
(1) GM: Dex check: [1d20+4] -> [15,4] = (19)
(9) Kibin: (kaylin, you get +4 on checks...)
(1) GM: Dex check: [1d20+4] -> [17,4] = (21)
(2) Kaylin: (sweet! I won initiative against a MONSTER!)
(1) GM: Monster tiebreaker: [1d20+5] -> [5,5] = (10)
(9) Kibin: (i feel slow.)
(2) Kaylin: (oh wait, my total initiative modifier is +6)
(1) GM: Kaylin, Jason, Monster, Kibin....
(9) Kibin: (stupid low initiative checks.)
(2) Kaylin: (how far away am I?)
(2) Kaylin: (how's it feel to be last for once? :D)
(1) GM: Oh, need to roll for the wagon....
(9) Kibin: (you did this just to spite elorin, didn't you.)
(1) GM: [1d20+0] -> [20,0] = (20)
(9) Kibin: (what the crud? how do wagons attack? o.O9
(2) Kaylin: (wow, a natural 20)
(2) Kaylin: (that's one... interesting wagon)
(1) GM: (ever been run over by something that weighs 500 pounds?)
(9) Kibin: (i've ran over my sister with a bike before.)
(1) GM: (Animated Object..... can run without horses.....)
(2) Kaylin: (hurts like hell, and that was just on my foot)
(1) GM: (by any chance are you two related?)
(2) Kaylin: (haha, no :D)
(1) GM: Kaylin, Wagon, Jason, Monster, Kibin
(9) Kibin: (anyone who uses true seeing on me should be subject to a confusion spell)
(2) Kaylin: (I think a nice Enervation... )
(1) GM: Kaylin - you were forewarend, so it's assumed you were on top of the carriage....
(9) Kibin (whispering): does it's fear aura count as a cold attack? :)
whispering to Kibin, No. And stop using OOC info.
(9) Kibin (whispering): fine fine.
(1) GM: Kaylin?
(2) Kaylin: (hmmm...)
(2) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Mind Fog ( level 5, "Subjects in fog get -10 Wis, Will checks." )
(1) GM: Will save....
(9) Kibin: (wait. wouldn't that affect us, as well?)
(2) Kaylin: (only if you're in it...)
(1) GM: [1d20+15] -> [6,15] = (21)
(2) Kaylin: (wait 'til it's out of there :P)
(1) GM: Also... SR penetration?
(2) Kaylin: SR: [1d20 + 21] -> [19,21] = (40)
(2) Kaylin: (eat my dust, SR)
whispering to Kaylin, SR 25 - no contest.
(9) Kibin: (LOL)
(2) Kaylin: (DC is 22)
(9) Kibin: (i think you pwned the SR quite nicely.)
(2) Kaylin: (so unsuccessful will save)
(9) Kibin: (i give it a good chance.)
(2) Kaylin: (Wagon attacks!)
(2) Kaylin: (actually)
(1) GM: And the creture is confused by the fog....
(9) Kibin: (of course. our enemies are BOUND to get a natural 1 one time or another.)
(2) Kaylin: (probably best to keep the wagon safe... what do you think)
(1) GM: (considering it's only got 52 HP?)
(2) Kaylin: (yeah. Let's get the wagon out of the combat zone)
(9) Kibin: (hey. i'm IN the wagon, here.)
(9) Kibin: (or... i could just be flying along.)
(1) GM: (Knowing the danger was coming, would you really sit and ride?)
(9) Kibin: (where's me?
(9) Kibin: (probally not, i'd probally be flying above :)
** (2) Kaylin hauls the wagon outta there **
(9) Kibin: (thank you :)
(9) Kibin: (i think i'm smaller :P
(1) GM: (Size: Small; still takes a full space)
(9) Kibin: (yeah, but i only take up about half of the space)
(1) GM: Jason's turn... Drops a creature behind the thing....
whispering to Kaylin, Shadow Conjouration......
(9) Kibin: (jason can summon now?)
(1) GM: And a small earth elemental pops up behind the demon, and attacks....
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [13,5] = (18)
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [12,5] = (17) for [1d6+4] -> [2,4] = (6)
(1) GM: AC 32 - a miss.
(1) GM: Monster's turn....
(1) GM: Ignoring the little blob of useless dirt, the demon husles over to something that looks like an actual threat.... the robed woman who put the fog up.
(1) GM: Laughing off the AoO from the earth glob.
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [10,5] = (15) for [1d6+4] -> [1,4] = (5)
(9) Kibin: (i think it crossed my threatened square too)
(2) Kaylin: (ah, crap.)
(1) GM: Spear: [1d20+20] -> [15,20] = (35) for [2d6+9] -> [4,1,9] = (14) and Slow.
(9) Kibin: (as well as jason, if he threatens.)
(1) GM: It also activates it's fear aura.... make a will save.
(2) Kaylin: (erk)
(9) Kibin: [1d20+9] -> [8,9] = (17)
(2) Kaylin: Will save: [1d20+17] -> [15,17] = (32)
(9) Kibin: (DANG IT! the save is not with me x.x)
(1) GM: DC 23 fort save or be slowed....
(2) Kaylin: (whew.
(1) GM: Will save DC 22 - no running.... except for Kibin....
(1) GM: Kaylin: Fort save?
(2) Kaylin: Fortitude save: [1d20+9] -> [18,9] = (27)
(2) Kaylin: (well, I may get low rlls on the other stuf... but I'm getting nice rolls on the important stuff)
(1) GM: So no effect on Kaylin, other than the damage....
(9) Kibin: (it must be nice to be immune to fear.)
(1) GM: Kibin, it's your turn, but unfortunately, you are panicked.... roll a 1d8 for the direction you run.
(9) Kibin: [1d8
(1) GM: Well, 1d9, as up is an option as well...
(9) Kibin: [1d8] -> [7] = (7)
(9) Kibin: [1d9] -> [3] = (3)
(9) Kibin: (up isn't as fast :)
(1) GM: Striaght west, at a full run. And, being within the demon's reach..... take an AoO.
(1) GM: Spear: [1d20+20] -> [2,20] = (22) for [2d6+9] -> [4,3,9] = (16) and Slow.
(9) Kibin: (i think it missed)
(1) GM: (You lose Dex to AC at a run... not that it matters.... a likely miss; what all goes into your ac?)
(9) Kibin: (10 base, 7 armor, 1 size, 10 natural armor,4 deflect)
(1) GM: So yes, a miss. Have fun running away for.... 13 rounds....
(1) GM: Oh, and Kaylin - despite the save, you are Shaken....
(9) Kibin: (i guess i run away at 400 feet a round?)
(2) Kaylin: (oh wonderful, 2 spellcasters against a melee...)
(1) GM: (Yep, to both.)
(9) Kibin: (i'm going to be nearly a mile away...)
(1) GM: But only shaken for a single round.
(1) GM: Kaylin?
(9) Kibin: (i need slippery mind.
(2) Kaylin: (hmm.)
(1) GM: [2d6] -> [2,3] = (5)
(9) Kibin: (can't elorin help?)
(2) Kaylin: (let's aim Prismatic Spray such that it doesn't hit Jason)
(1) GM: Five rounds of -10 will saves....
(9) Kibin: (for me?)
(1) GM: (For the monster)
(9) Kibin: (most i could get is 19.
(9) Kibin: (ah. that.)
(9) Kibin: (phantasmial illusion?)
(2) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Phantasmal Killer ( level 4, "Fearsome illusion kills subject or deals 3d6 damage." )
(1) GM: Pretty decent chance, at the moment....
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [18,5] = (23)
(9) Kibin: (yup.)
(2) Kaylin: (eat will save at -10...)
(9) Kibin: (even if it doesn't kill...)
(2) Kaylin: (damn)
(1) GM: That included the -10 from the fog.....
(2) Kaylin: (DC only 21...)
(2) Kaylin: (stupid high monster rolls.)
(9) Kibin: (there's also -5 from wisdom)
(9) Kibin: (it hits.)
(2) Kaylin: (oh right.)
(9) Kibin: (:)
(2) Kaylin: (nice one :)
(9) Kibin: (wisdom is the attribute of will saves... so therefore, -10 wisdom also decreases will saves by 5 from modifiers.)
(2) Kaylin: (You know, eventually I should use Quicken Spell on Mind Fog.. -20 to Will Saves and Phantasmal killer in the first round...)
(1) GM: Um, no - it's a -10 compentency penalty on Wisdom checks and Will saves; -10 on the rolls, separately, sorry.Roll of 23 stands.
(1) GM: Jason's turn, though....
(10) Kibin (enter): 18:24
(1) GM: (emphasis on Checks)
(11) Kaylin (enter): 18:24
(10) Kibin: (last think i heard was kaylin saying to use quicken spell on mind fog
(11) Kaylin: (bah.)
(10) Kibin: (last from you, GM, was -10 from fog.)
(2) Kaylin (exit): 18:24
(9) Kibin (exit): 18:24
(1) GM: Um, no - it's a -10 compentency penalty on Wisdom checks and Will saves; -10 on the rolls, separately, sorry. Roll of 23 stands.
(11) Kaylin: (OK, so it hit :/)
(11) Kaylin: (er, missed0
(10) Kibin: (wait. 23?)
(10) Kibin: (phantasmal illusion is what? level 6 or 7?
(1) GM: Yes; rolled 18, +15 will save, -10 compentency penalty = 23
(11) Kaylin: (4)
(1) GM: (It's the MASS version that's higher....)
(10) Kibin: (isn't the will save higher?)
(10) Kibin: (and doesn't she get a bonus from her level? :P)
(1) GM: Spell Level (4) + Int modifier (+7) +base (10) = 21
(1) GM: It saves, and it's Jason's turn....
(10) Kibin: (meh. fine.)
(1) GM: Jason: Hold up, you!
(1) GM: Ghost Telekenesis: Manuvers: Standard Action, Concentration: Combat Manuvers (Disarm, Trip, Grapple (Pin), Bull Rush) 12 rounds; +12 for Base Attack, +Cha Mod (10) for dex/str due to method), Wait: [1d4] -> [3] = (3)
(11) Kaylin: Can you keep it away from pounding on me?
(1) GM: Touch: [1d20+22] -> [14,22] = (36); grapple: [1d20+22] -> [16,22] = (38); opposed: [1d20+24] -> [3,24] = (27)
(1) GM: Jason: For a time....
(1) GM: Monster's turn....
(10) Kibin: (and you just HAD to make the rogue fly away. go figure.)
(1) GM: Oh, forgot the earth elemental....
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [4,5] = (9) for [1d6+4] -> [5,4] = (9)
(1) GM: Misses, but threatens....
(1) GM: Monster's turn....
(10) Kibin: (wow. i went out of sight the first turn.)
(11) Kaylin: (kill the elemental, not the wizardess.. kill the elemental, not the wizardess)
(10) Kibin: (hey. it is kinda lacking in wisdom right now ;)
(1) GM: Attempt to break grapple... and use fear as it's a free action....
(11) Kaylin: (yeah :D)
(1) GM: Touch: [1d20+22] -> [15,22] = (37); grapple: [1d20+22] -> [1,22] = (23); opposed: [1d20+24] -> [19,24] = (43)
(11) Kaylin: (but hey, fighters do pretty well in target seletion and they're not particularly clued-in)
(10) Kibin: (meh.)
(1) GM: Jason, unfortunately, can't perform very well at all at the moment, and it breaks loose....
(1) GM: Kaylin, will save.
(11) Kaylin: Will save: [1d20+17] -> [3,17] = (20)
(11) Kaylin: (DAMN)
(10) Kibin: (meh.)
(10) Kibin: (when do we get lucky?)
(1) GM: And the devil hits the little earth elemental.....
(10) Kibin: (and where's elorin and derrel :P)
(11) Kaylin: (whew)
(1) GM: [1d20+15] -> [1,15] = (16), [1d20+10] -> [4,10] = (14) with it's spear....
(1) GM: AC 17; neither hit.
(11) Kaylin: (hey, it has the same AC as me)
(1) GM: Kaylin - your turn... and you're panicked... roll 1d8 for direction of travel.
(10) Kibin: (what about me? :P)
(1) GM: (you have another 11 rounds or panic)
(11) Kaylin: [1d8] -> [3] = (3)
(11) Kaylin: (I hate being panicked.)
(10) Kibin: (ah.)
(1) GM: Southwest at maximum speed.
(11) Kaylin: (have fun, Jason.)
(10) Kibin: (okay. i'm 800 feet away now... dragons fly fast.)
(1) GM: Jason's turn....
(11) Kaylin: (try an Enervation ;)
(1) GM: Step back and Enervation.
(1) GM: Evervation, Level 4: 1d4 neagative levels, close ranged touch attack, no save, SR. nagative levels: [1d4] -> [3] = (3)
(1) GM: SR penetration: [1d20+13] -> [2,13] = (15)
(11) Kaylin: (ouch)
(1) GM: Utter failure. The black ray fizzles.
(1) GM: The little elemental does it's best....
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [11,5] = (16) for [1d6+4] -> [2,4] = (6)
(1) GM: But can't touch the thing.
(1) GM: The thing, still afraid of the little elemental, lets loose with a full attack....
(1) GM: [1d20+20] -> [14,20] = (34), [1d20+15] -> [3,15] = (18), [1d20+10] -> [19,10] = (29)
(1) GM: All three hit... [6d6+18] -> [3,5,4,4,5,5,18] = (44)
(10) Kibin: (owned.)
(1) GM: And the poor little elemental is scattered bits of shadowy shrapnel.
(11) Kaylin: (wait, the thing is afraid of the elemental?)
(11) Kaylin: (aww poor elemental :(
(1) GM: (-10 on wisdom checks....)
(1) GM: Jason's turn... and not liking the looks of things, he steps up, out of range, and tries another spell....
(10) Kibin: (i guess i'm 1200 feet away, now.)
(1) GM: Looks a lot like a Lightning bolt...
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [6,5] = (11)
(1) GM: [1d20+13] -> [16,13] = (29)
(1) GM: [10d6] -> [2,5,2,1,6,3,4,4,2,1] = (30)
(1) GM: Will save failed...
(1) GM: SR penetration succeeded....
(1) GM: 30 base damage; reflex save.... [1d20+14] -> [6,14] = (20)
(1) GM: reflex failed....
(1) GM: No electricity resistance!
(10) Kibin: (can GMs fake rolls on this? just wondering.)
(1) GM: (Can, yes; easily, no)
(1) GM: 30 damage; nonleathal, due to regeneration....
(1) GM: And, of course, Jason doesn't have anything Good to hit him with....
(10) Kibin: (will you stop with the ... you're building too much suspense.)
(1) GM: (sorry; looking things up as I go)
(1) GM: And it's the creature's turn.
(10) Kibin (whispering): ack. you made a mistake. if you save against the fear effect, you're immune to that same aura for 24 hours.
whispering to Kibin, you're right.... oops.
(1) GM: Kaylin - I made a mistake; can't be affected twice by the same demon for 24 hours after having passed the first save.
(10) Kibin (whispering): and the wording of the fear effect says that on a successful will save, you're not shakened.
(1) GM: Cast away.....
whispering to Kibin, "as though by a fear spell"; fear spell is shaken for a single round even on a successful save
(11) Kaylin: (oh, cool)
(10) Kibin (whispering): it says to make a will save or be affected as a fear spell.
(1) GM: (The distance from the first round of running is still useful, though, as now you are quite out of range of the spear....)
(10) Kibin (whispering): don't really care, however.
whispering to Kibin, one round up anyway.....
(1) GM: Kaylin's turn....
(11) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Disintegrate ( level 6, "Makes one creature or object vanish." )
(10) Kibin: (hehe.)
(11) Kaylin: SR: [1d20 + 21] -> [19,21] = (40)
(1) GM: SR check? Also, touch attack rolll?
(11) Kaylin: (fry, baby, fry.)
(11) Kaylin: Ranged Touch Attack Roll: [1d20+8] -> [11,8] = (19)===> DMG: [0+0] -> 0
(1) GM: SR check passed; Touch attack roll?
(11) Kaylin: (ick)
(1) GM: Touch AC 14.
(11) Kaylin: (the thing is right next to me :()
(10) Kibin: (it's touch attack, don't worry.)
(1) GM: Fort save: [1d20+15] -> [15,15] = (30)
(10) Kibin: (see? most summomed monsters have horrible touch ACs :)
(11) Kaylin: (gah.)
(1) GM: DC?
(11) Kaylin: (23)
(10) Kibin: (it still does 5d6 damage.)
(1) GM: Oh well, effect still partial; 3d6, I believe...
(11) Kaylin: [5d6] -> [2,3,5,5,4] = (19)
(10) Kibin: (and if that kills the monster... POOF! pile of dust.)
(1) GM: Unfortunately, it has 147 HP; 98 more to go.....
(1) GM: Regeneration, too.....
(1) GM: Monster's turn....
** (10) Kibin is now 1,600 feet away... **
** (10) Kibin is that far away after the monster takes a turn... **
(1) GM: The monster, trying to kill the bloody ghost, tries for a Cone of Cold.
(10) Kibin: (hehe. that's going to bring back memories :D)
(1) GM: [13d6] -> [1,1,1,3,1,1,5,1,4,1,5,2,1] = (27)
(1) GM: Miss chance; 50 or less doesn't hit: [1d100] -> [51] = (51)
(10) Kibin: (OH COME ON!)
(1) GM: Reflex save: [1d20+11] -> [4,11] = (15)
(1) GM: DC 20; Jason can't avoid.
(1) GM: Jason takes 27 damage.
(1) GM: Kaylin?
(1) GM: Kaylin?
(10) Kibin: (NOW i'm 1,600 feet away, i think)
(11) Kaylin: (just a sec)
(10) Kibin: (right?)
(11) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Chain Lightning ( level 6, "1d6/level damage; 1 secondary bolt/level each deals half damage." )
(10) Kibin: (o.O)
(1) GM: Well out of range of the action. Does it really matter how far? It will take 13 rounds for you to get back, assuming a full run.
(10) Kibin: (personally i'd try doing more mindaffecting results.)
(10) Kibin: (not going to be able to run :P)
(1) GM: Reflex save: [1d20+14] -> [6,14] = (20)
(11) Kaylin: SR: [1d20 + 21] -> [5,21] = (26)
(1) GM: 23, assuming a Hustle, 46 at a walk.
(11) Kaylin: (DC is above 20...)
(11) Kaylin: [15d6] -> [1,3,1,2,3,3,5,3,6,3,1,6,6,2,6] = (51)
(10) Kibin: (probally too tired to hustle)
(1) GM: Full damage.
(11) Kaylin: (meh. too many 1s]
(1) GM: (balanced by a greater number of 6's)
(1) GM: Jason's turn...
(10) Kibin: (that's just a bit above average, actually)
(11) Kaylin: (true...)
(1) GM: Jason goes etherial, and out of sight.....
(11) Kaylin: (oh wonderful.)
(11) Kaylin: (it only sees me now)
(1) GM: The monster attempts to blast the (hopefully fragile) wizardess with a frozen blast....
(1) GM: [13d6] -> [3,1,1,4,6,3,5,3,4,6,3,4,6] = (49), reflex DC 20 half.
(10) Kibin: (ouch.)
(1) GM: Reflex save, Kaylin?
(10) Kibin: (she may come back as a wolfie friend! :)
(11) Kaylin: Reflex save: [1d20+10] -> [11,10] = (21)
(11) Kaylin: (whew. that would have killed me)
(10) Kibin: (whew.)
(1) GM: Your turn.....
(10) Kibin: (you know how lucky you are?)
(10) Kibin: (you are really, really lucky)
(11) Kaylin: (tell me about it.)
(11) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Enervation ( level 4, "Subject gains 1d4 negative levels." )
(10) Kibin: (2,000 feet away. just keeping tabs :)
(11) Kaylin: SR: [1d20 + 21] -> [20,21] = (41)
(10) Kibin: (since when did kaylin get that spell?)
(11) Kaylin: (since a while ago)
(1) GM: (Since she collaberated on a scroll with Jason)
(10) Kibin: (ah.)
(11) Kaylin: [1d4] -> [3] = (3)
(10) Kibin: (yay! -6 now!)
(1) GM: (Jason's bounced off SR....)
(10) Kibin: (it's got +2 will saves now! :D)
(11) Kaylin: Ranged Touch Attack Roll: [1d20+8] -> [3,8] = (11)===> DMG: [0+0] -> 0
(10) Kibin: (oh. it's got +2 will saves now!)
(11) Kaylin: (oh damn.)
(10) Kibin: (sigh... easy come easy go.)
(1) GM: Youch AC 14; a miss.
(10) Kibin: (jason shall come to save us all :)
(1) GM: Fortunately, it still has a turn with poor will saves....
(1) GM: Ghost Malevolence: Will Save DC 25 (15 + Ghost's Cha modifier) or possess subject
(1) GM: [1d20+5] -> [15,5] = (20)
(10) Kibin: (haha.)
(1) GM: The thing just kind of sits there, when you expected it to do something.
(1) GM: Kaylin?
(11) Kaylin: Jason? was that you?
(10) Kibin: (it got owned by body snatchers from beyond the grave.)
(1) GM: Monster: Well.... we were running a little short on options....
(11) Kaylin: well, if everyone would like to stand back, I could finish it off with a Reverse Gravity.
(10) Kibin: (hehe.)
(1) GM: Monster: OOh! Pick me! Pick me!
(11) Kaylin: But first....
** (11) Kaylin walks over to the monster and kicks it, then stabs it with the dagger... **
(11) Kaylin: That's for the cone of cold.
(10) Kibin: (lol.)
(1) GM: Monster: Umm.... was that supposed to do something? I think this thing can shrug off little things like that....
(11) Kaylin: It's the principle of the matter.
(10) Kibin: (hurry up already so i can fly back.)
(11) Kaylin: All right, everything out of the way?
(1) GM: Monster: Yep.
(10) Kibin: (how can the monster talk?)
(1) GM: (Despite appearances, it does speak)
** (11) Kaylin backs away from the monster **
(10) Kibin: (hurry up and kick the monsters butt.)
(11) Kaylin: Physics, your turn for some action.
(11) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Reverse Gravity ( level 7, "Objects and creatures fall upward." )
(1) GM: (It's really already kicked; it just needs to die...)
(10) Kibin: (hehe. fall up for how long? into space? :D)
(11) Kaylin: (1 round)
(11) Kaylin: (reaching the top of the area in that round :D)
(10) Kibin: (so... that would be somewhere in the andromena galaxy?)
(1) GM: Monster: Whee! I'm flying under someone else'ws power for a change!
(11) Kaylin: (nah, just outside of the planet's gravity well..)
(10) Kibin: the lesser magellic cloud?
(10) Kibin: ()
(10) Kibin: (heh. whoopsy :P)
(1) GM: And packing the 10-foot cubes striaght up, you get 70 feet. (one 10 foot cube per two levels)
** (11) Kaylin shouts after it "That was no way to treat a lady!" **
(10) Kibin: (can i start flying back now? :P)
(1) GM: Sure.
(10) Kibin: (yay :P)
(11) Kaylin: (bah. I need more XL)
(10) Kibin: (okay, you'll see me when the combat ends :P
(1) GM: After the 15 round duration expires.....
(1) GM: Monster: Yeah!
(10) Kibin: (weeeeeeeeee splat.)
(1) GM: [7d6] -> [5,6,6,1,2,2,5] = (27)
(11) Kaylin: (jeez.)
(11) Kaylin: (you'd take more than THAT falling 70 feet...)
(10) Kibin: (and i'm still nowhere to be found :P)
(11) Kaylin: (it'd be a case of weeeeeee splash)
(1) GM: DR applies; 17 damage. Pity that the regeneration functioned [15*5] -> 75
(10) Kibin: (bunny bunny bunny!)
(11) Kaylin: (oh wonderful.)
(1) GM: Other than the bruises from the fall, the thing is in full health.
(10) Kibin: (i mean, comeon
(10) Kibin: (jason can even choose to forgo the saves :D)
(1) GM: Monster: Maybe I could hop around for a while?
(11) Kaylin: Hop around for 15 minutes while I prepare a Baleful Polymorph
(10) Kibin: (turn off spell resistance.)
(10) Kibin: (YAY!)
(1) GM: Monster: Oh, right! Umm... yeah...
(1) GM: Monster: Hey, maybe I could enervation myself to death.....
(11) Kaylin: (hey, just to be cruel, can it see what's happening to it while posessed?)
(11) Kaylin: That works
(10) Kibin: (i vote for bunny. :P)
(10) Kibin: (WHY WON'T YOU DO BUNNY!)
(1) GM: Monster: Hmm... can't have the SR down and cast fast enough. Pity.
(10) Kibin: (those transmutation spells are going to waste...)
(1) GM: Monster: Yeah, I can wait.
** (11) Kaylin prepares the Baleful Polymorph **
(1) GM: The monster sits down and starts twidgling it's thumbs for 15 minutes....
(10) Kibin: (you haven't prepared it yet? :P)
(11) Kaylin: (I already cast 1)
(1) GM: Monster: Tell me when you're ready so I can drop the SR.
** (10) Kibin comes back, panting. "Stupid magical fear effects... Um, why isn't the monster attacking?" **
(1) GM: Monster: I took it over.
** (10) Kibin lands on the ground, falling face first. "Meh... I'm just going to rest here for a while..." **
(1) GM: Monster: Waiting for Kaylin to turn it into a bunny. Don't you want to watch?
(10) Kibin: Ooo, bunny?
(1) GM: Monster: We might even be able to have rabbit stew after.
(10) Kibin: I could use a snack.
(11) Kaylin: (so, anything happening in the 15 minutes?)
(1) GM: (Not without everyone here, no.)
(11) Kaylin: (OK, so I can cast?)
(10) Kibin: (wait. wouldn't i be able to run for 2 minutes?)
(1) GM: Monster: Okay, I have the SR down.
(1) GM: (Yep)
(11) Kaylin: Bunnification!
(11) Kaylin: Kaylin casts Baleful Polymorph ( level 5, "Transforms subject into harmless animal." )
(11) Kaylin: (oops.)
** (10) Kibin is standing on all fours, watching. "That needs to be a battle cry." **
(11) Kaylin: (0 more times, but oh well.)
(1) GM: (13 rounds wouldn't hurt, but the 26 to get back.....)
** (11) Kaylin walks over to the bunny and stabs it... **
(1) GM: The monster turns into a bunny.
(1) GM: Bunny: ?
(10) Kibin: (still gets it's full HP...)
(11) Kaylin: (oh, jeez.)
(10) Kibin: (please tell me jason made it succeed it's saving throw for will :D)
(10) Kibin: Mmm, tasty bunny.
(11) Kaylin: Kibin, a little chomping action here?
** (10) Kibin licks his lips. **
(1) GM: (and any Su/Ex qualities not based on physical form....)
(1) GM: [1d20+15] -> [17,15] = (32)
(10) Kibin: (ah.)
(1) GM: It made the will save.
(10) Kibin: (i think the fear effect should include that :P)
(1) GM: (so regeneration stays....)
(1) GM: Bunny: ?
(10) Kibin: (ooo. regenerating bunny.)
(1) GM: (With DR!)
(10) Kibin: (lol.)
** (10) Kibin swoops over the bunny, taking a bite. **
(1) GM: The bunny lets Kibin do so. Damage roll?
(10) Kibin: (sneakattack? :D)
(1) GM: (Go for it!)
(10) Kibin: [1d6+1+7d6] -> [3,1,4,5,6,1,1,4,1] = (26)
(11) Kaylin: (even though he's NPCd, can we get Elorin to heal me?)
(11) Kaylin: (I'd kinda like to have more than abotu 2 HP now...)
(10) Kibin: (and two claws. of course.)
(1) GM: (Yeah, I think that will fly...)
(10) Kibin: [1d4+1+7d6] -> [4,1,6,2,3,5,6,5,3] = (35)
(10) Kibin: [1d4+1+7d6] -> [3,1,3,3,5,5,5,6,1] = (32)
(1) GM: Elorin: Heal.
(11) Kaylin: (so while Kibin is off mauling a bunny...)
** (10) Kibin flies back, making another pass. **
(10) Kibin: [1d6+1+7d6] -> [2,1,4,6,5,5,6,6,6] = (41)

(10) Kibin: (now is it buny lunch? :D)
(1) GM: [21+22+33-30] -> 46
(10) Kibin: (i think it's a quivering heap right now. lol.)
(10) Kibin: (it's got no muscles to speak of :D)
(1) GM: [124+46-5] -> 165
(10) Kibin: (and of course, if it's dead, it pops back to normal :P)
(1) GM: It is indeed a quivering heap of scattered bunny flesh... that seems to be regrouping....
(12) Kibin (enter): 19:24
(12) Kibin: (bah.)
(13) Kaylin (enter): 19:24
(1) GM: It is indeed a quivering heap of scattered bunny flesh... that seems to be regrouping....
** (12) Kibin tries freezing the bunny pieces. **
(13) Kaylin: (sheesh, you people are so evil to bunnies)
(12) Kibin: [2d8] -> [1,3] = (4)
(1) GM: And you find it has resistance to cold 10
(10) Kibin (exit): 19:25
(11) Kaylin (exit): 19:25
(12) Kibin: (not even getting past resistance)
(12) Kibin: Stupid bunny...
(12) Kibin: [1d4] -> [1] = (1)
(1) GM: 161....
** (12) Kibin then tries paralyzing the bunny. Ooo. **
** (13) Kaylin hops into the carriage and restores her appearance from the fight while the dragon mauls the bunny **
(12) Kibin: [1d6+1] -> [3,1] = (4)
(1) GM: And it malisciously fails it's fort save. It still regrows, though.
(1) GM: 151....
(12) Kibin: Dang it. Does anyone have a nuking attack for this stupid bunny that won't die?
** (12) Kibin flies over and mauls it again. **
(12) Kibin: [1d4] -> [4] = (4)
(13) Kaylin: Not until I prepare more spells.
(12) Kibin: [1d6+1+7d6] -> [5,1,6,1,1,1,2,3,5] = (25)
(12) Kibin: [1d4+1+7d6

(13) Kaylin: Why don't you just pick it up and drop it from a couple of miles up?
(12) Kibin: Hmmm.
(12) Kibin: I never thought of that...
(1) GM: [151+25+24+27-30-5] -> 192
(13) Kaylin: Surely that'd be faster than this method.
(12) Kibin: Hehe, excuse me for a moment.
(1) GM: Derrel: It was demonic, right?
** (12) Kibin bites it again, and flies up. **
(12) Kibin: [1d6+1+7d6] -> [6,1,2,3,1,6,1,5,1] = (26)
(12) Kibin: (grappling it in my mouth, of course)
(13) Kaylin: It was..
(1) GM: [192+26-10-5] -> 203
(12) Kibin: (hehe.)
(1) GM: Derrel: And it's regenerating just like it was previously?
(12) Kibin: (is jason still in the bunny?)
(1) GM: (Yep)
(1) GM: (no opposed grapple - not that it matters; it can't move for quite a while....)
** (12) Kibin carries it REALLY high up. Then drops it... Right over the camp, making sure not to hit anyone. He then flies down ahead of it, reaching the ground in about a minute, ahead of the bunny(hopefully) **
(1) GM: On the flight up, jason steps out of the tattered (but still regrowing) remains of the bunny.
(12) Kibin: Okay. Bunny should land after a while.
(12) Kibin: In about three... two... one...
(12) Kibin: (*splat*)
(1) GM: Let's see... 150 feet the first round, damage caps at 5d6 (tiny creature....) [5d6] -> [5,1,1,3,4] = (14)
(1) GM: [203+14-10-10] -> 197
(12) Kibin: Hmmm. Bunnies drop slowly.
(1) GM: AoO as it goes by?
(12) Kibin: (nah.)
(12) Kibin: (there a ocean nearby?)
(13) Kaylin: Wait!
(13) Kaylin: We could put it in the bag of holding.
(1) GM: Derrel: What get's through such a creature's DR and regeneration?
(12) Kibin: Drowning?
(12) Kibin: (where's the ocean :P)
(1) GM: Kaylin: Knoweledge(The Planes?)
(12) Kibin: (is there an ocean?)
(12) Kibin: (nearby)
(13) Kaylin: Knowledge: The Planes Skill Check: [1d20+14] -> [2,14] = (16)
(13) Kaylin: (hmmph)
(12) Kibin: (meh...)
whispering to Kaylin, you get distraced meandering about your thoughs and remember an amusing anecdote about what happened to a poor kobold who managed to con a wish out of a glazebrou
(12) Kibin: (can this be a stopping point? i need to go)
(1) GM: Derrel steps and and CDG's the bunny with a Smite....
(13) Kaylin: (yay NPCd Derrel)
(1) GM: Masterwork Longsword Att #1 Attack Roll: [1d20+19] -> [15,19] = (34)===> DMG: [1d8+2] -> [8,2] = (10)
(1) GM: +4 Longsword Attack #1 Attack Roll: [1d20+19] -> [3,19] = (22)===> DMG: [1d8+4+2] -> [5,4,2] = (11)
(1) GM: Wrong one....
(1) GM: that's a +5 sword.... so 12 base, +12 crit, +30 smite.
(1) GM: Fort save DC 64
(1) GM: [1d20+15] -> [11,15] = (26)
(1) GM: It's dead.
(12) Kibin: (can we stop after the invincible bunny is killed?)
(1) GM: Yes, stopping point - dinner.
(12) Kibin: (okay... post logs, let me get these magicky items...)
(13) Kaylin: (did it have any treasure with it?)
(13) Kaylin: (some of us want those magicky items too :P)
(12) Kibin: (bye. see you people next week... we need more roleplaying times :P

(1) GM: (Detect magic first?)
(13) Kaylin: (That'll have to be Elorin)
(13) Kaylin: (or whoever. I don't have Detect Magic prepared)

(13) Kaylin: (ok)

(1) GM: Of course, what's really fun? That was officially a CR 13 encounter...
(13) Kaylin: lol
(1) GM: ... with a party level of 14.2....
(13) Kaylin: wow.
(13) Kaylin: seems like it should have been easier..
(13) Kaylin: hmm, those " black velvet mask with numerous lapis lazuli gems" seem to crop up a lot
(1) GM: ... and the only reason nobody died was a lucky save and a few lucky failed saves on the part of the demon.
(13) Kaylin: yeah.. :(
(13) Kaylin: Well, when all the fighters are out of action... there's no shield for poor little me
(1) GM: Elorin really needs to get Hero's Feast at his next opportunity.....
(1) GM: Having almost everyone scatter when the demon runs his fear aura just ain't right.
(13) Kaylin: by the way, IC: I suggest resting until I can refresh my spell memory.
(1) GM: Jason: Yeah... not a bad idea.... how many did you run through?
(13) Kaylin: All my higher-level combat spells.
(1) GM: Jason: Good time to rest, then. Wagon's cover?
(13) Kaylin: certainly.
(13) Kaylin: (tomorrow I'm preparing the blaster-mage spell list...)
(1) GM: Jason: Such a pity it's still daylight.....
(1) GM: (if you like....)
(13) Kaylin: True... perhaps we could get a little travel in?
(1) GM: Jason: Sure.... you direct the wagon to follow the carriage, and I'll drive the Carriage. Or better yet, Derrel will...
(13) Kaylin: Sounds good
** (13) Kaylin hops in the carriage and gets the wagon to follow along **
(1) GM: Jason: I'm a little bit low on my spells, too. Need rest for those pesky wounds....
(1) GM: (------------ curtin falls ---------------------)
(13) Kaylin: yay, d20srd is back up.
** (13) Kaylin takes a stage bow **
(1) GM: Well, closing server....
(13) Kaylin: Thanks for GMing :)
Server Administrator-> Closing Server......
(1) GM: It's fun.
Game disconnected!
