Server Administrator-> You have connected to an OpenRPG server, version '1.6.1'.
Welcome to Jack Simth's temporary server!
I put this up just for
a short gaming session on Saturday, and stop it after.
Session is schedualed for 10 AM Pacific Standard Time.
(1) GM: [100d20] -> [6,13,16,18,2,11,4,15,16,1,3,18,18,18,17,8,3,12,1,19,8,8,17,1,3,15,8,20,8,17,7,3,18,19,2,19,3,16,5,2,12,12,17,19,14,12,4,12,10,9,20,9,5,5,4,3,9,11,14,8,15,10,14,11,11,5,16,1,8,9,16,12,9,16,1,19,9,14,5,18,2,11,19,1,9,12,13,9,13,3,12,7,4,5,8,8,17,19,5,20] = (1043)
(2) Kibin (enter): 09:36
(2) Kibin: Wooo, me here!
(2) Kibin: May have to leave sometime in the next 5 hours for a little while, to play Halo 2 with friends. :)
(2) Kibin: Dual needler pwnage!
(1) GM: So, Violist/Kaylin vanish at about 12 Pacific, NullAshton/Kibin at about 12-3 Pacific....
(2) Kibin: I said maybe.
(2) Kibin: And I'll come back.
(2) Kibin: After I hijack a few banshees. Hehe.
(1) GM: And Violist/Kaylin plans to return at about 5 pm pacific.....
(1) GM: Oh, breakfast!
(2) Kibin: (Test...)
(3) Kaylin (enter): 09:48
** (2) Kibin waves. **
(3) Kaylin: mornin'
(2) Kibin: I found a system to estimate how 'smart' someone should be based on their intelligence score. Simply multiply that score by 10, and treat that as the IQ.
(2) Kibin: So an average person with 10 intelligence would have an IQ of 100.
(3) Kaylin: I need to take a quick shower. Should be back in a moment.
(3) Kaylin: 280?!
(2) Kibin: For you, probally. :)
(3) Kaylin: Kaylin has 280 IQ? o.O
(3) Kaylin: That's probably past the explosion limit
(2) Kibin: There was one person who had an IQ of 250.
(2) Kibin: Kibin has an IQ of 140, which oddly enough, is exactly my IQ. O.o
(2) Kibin: And... I don't hae to leave.
** (2) Kibin hmmms, forgot to add up XP. **
(2) Kibin: There we go.
(4) Lae'nial (enter): 10:03
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Og.
(1) Jack Simth: Ah, you've met today's Barbarian?
(2) Kibin: O.o
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Nope. Just got up.
(1) Jack Simth: Ah, yes, nobody catches bad puns just after rising....
(2) Kibin: There was a pun in there?
(1) Jack Simth: Apparently not.
(2) Kibin: If absolute power corrupts absolutely, wouldn't that mean all GMs are corrupted?
(1) Jack Simth: I've told you before - all DM's are evil. It's in the job description.
(2) Kibin: Funny, I don't see the Dungeon Masters Guide having an evil descriptor...
(3) Kaylin: Back
(1) Jack Simth: Oh, not the official job description, just the functional one.
(2) Kibin: Which is why Kibin now avoids death whenever possible now.
(2) Kibin: Wow.
(2) Kibin: Elorin is late.
(2) Kibin: Kaylin is early.
(2) Kibin: Eldon is right on time. O.o
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (BRB)
(2) Kibin: I read something on wizards.com about improving the quality of online campaigns.
(2) Kibin: Things such as pretyped descriptions.
(1) Jack Simth: Sometimes do that; depends on how lazy I am that week.
(2) Kibin: Also has stuff such as XP penalties for going away without saying you're going away.
(3) Kaylin: o.O
(3) Kaylin: Would you like it if I announced every time I ran off to grab a cup of water?
(2) Kibin: Would be nice if you go off for more than half a minute or so?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Back)
** (2) Kibin wonders where Elorin is. **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Shouldn't that be 'Being vewy quiet'?
(2) Kibin: O.o
(2) Kibin: Shhhh, we're hunting wabbits.
(1) Jack Simth: Heh, heh heh.....
(3) Kaylin: Are you going to pit us up against a giant rabbit?
(1) Jack Simth: Not today, no.
(2) Kibin: We'd need a holy hand grenade if we're doing that.
(3) Kaylin: Elorin doesn't count?
(5) Elorin (enter): 10:21
(3) Kaylin: Throw him at the rabbit, have him release an arrowstorm
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Comic
(3) Kaylin: Yea
(1) Jack Simth: So, everyone about ready?
(3) Kaylin: Yep.
(5) Elorin: yes
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Og!
Moving to room 'D and D'..

Server Administrator->
Welcome to Jack Simth's temporary server!
I put this up just for
a short gaming session on Saturday, and stop it after.
Session is schedualed for 10 AM Pacific Standard Time.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot (enter): 10:22
(5) Elorin (enter): 10:22
(3) Kaylin (enter): 10:23
(5) Elorin: (you misspelled quiet in your status, Jack)
(1) Jack Simth: Okay, where's Kibin?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Maybe...He's a wabbit!)
(2) Kibin (enter): 10:26
(2) Kibin: (I'M AWAKE!)
(3) Kaylin: (congratulations)
(2) Kibin: (O.o)
(1) Jack Simth: When we last left our heroes, Eldon had just suited up, to see if everyone could get to Ysgard......
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Yaay! That's hard!)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (I had? I thought we were going to drag it?)
(2) Kibin: (I thought Kaylin was scribing spells for three days.)
(2) Kibin: (Then the people who could fly goofed around for a few hours.)
(1) Jack Simth: (Little combination Plane Shifting back to the Prime Material after she had the one out of the spellbook......)
(5) Elorin: (three days we spent racing and otherwise amusing ourselves)
(3) Kaylin: (plane shifted back to the material plane so I could scribe and not spend three days scribing)
(2) Kibin: (?)
(2) Kibin: (Ah.)
(1) Jack Simth: It's a nice, bright day on the Twin Paradises. Plants are everywhere, and there's lots of sunshine. Kinda hard to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from, though, as there's no sun.....
(2) Kibin: (So I guess me, Elorin, and Jason all go back to everyone else 100 miles away.)
(1) Jack Simth: Yep.
(2) Kibin: (With me very tired after 10 hours of flying.)
** (5) Elorin takes pity on Kibin after the first one-way flight and casts Wind Walk on him for the return **
(1) GM: Although, you can see a storm well above you.... raining up.
** (2) Kibin wonders what would happen if he tried walking on a thunderstorm cloud. **
(1) GM: Jason: So, are we ready to try this?
(2) Kibin: (And I suppose Elorin healed me of all my non-lethal damage and stuff.)
(5) Elorin: (yeah, one cure light would probably do it)
(5) Elorin: (anyway, we did a little Sending after you left last time, Kibin)
(2) Kibin: (Grrrr. :P)
(5) Elorin: Hall of the Valiant? You know where that is, I hope?
(1) GM: The storm cloud above seems to be falling (rising?) towards you slightly.
(3) Kaylin: (Do I know where the Hall of the Valiant is?)
(1) GM: Knoweledege(The Planes)?
(3) Kaylin: Knowledge: The Planes Skill Check: [1d20+18] -> [2,18] = (20)
(3) Kaylin: (grr)
whispering to Kaylin, You know the plane, but not the location on the plane.
(2) Kibin: (You know, I usually assume you stop after I have to leave at the same time every saturday...)
(3) Kaylin: I do not know... there's so many planes, and memorisation of those was not a strong aspect of my young self.
whispering to Kaylin, Mind you, you already knew it was on Ysgard.......
whispering to Kaylin, Simply from the message.
(5) Elorin: Oh. Well, I guess we better head off to a library.
(1) GM: Spellcraft check?
(3) Kaylin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+33] -> [16,33] = (49)
whispering to Kaylin, Although Gate is much like Greater Teleport in it's precision capabilities.....
(3) Kaylin: I should be able to open a Gate there even without precise knowledge.
(1) GM: Although you do need a reliable description - Knoweledge(Religion)?
(3) Kaylin: Knowledge: Religion Skill Check: [1d20+13] -> [6,13] = (19)
(3) Kaylin: (yeah. OK, more knowledge ranks...)
whispering to Kaylin, You'll need to hunt through the library, as you know ledgends of the place, but nothing reliable enough.
(3) Kaylin: However, we will need to visit a library for a good description. Legends are not reliable, in my experience.
(2) Kibin: (*wonders what everyone else is on the chaotic-lawful alignment axis*)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Elorin?)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Eldon is Honorable Good.)
(2) Kibin: (Lawful good you mean?)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Not so much.)
(5) Elorin: (Well, that didn't go so well. Hmm, summon a good outsider to ask for directions? :P Or I suppose a Miracle would get the answer, but that seems almost a waste of a 9th level spell)
(3) Kaylin: (you can be honorable without being lawful)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Don't you have religeon ranks?)
(1) GM: Phonecall
(1) GM: Will need to be leaving at about 1:15 or so, sorry.
(1) GM: (Not a class skill for him....)
(2) Kibin: (Uh, what?)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Seconded)
(1) GM: (Helping someone move)
(2) Kibin: (Ah. For how long?)
(1) GM: Not sure. Untill it's done.
(3) Kaylin: (ah, nice to have help while moving)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Yep.)
(1) GM: ,Anyway.... still leaves me with 2.5 hours, so.....
(2) Kibin: (Okay, I guess same of posting on fourm thingies like last time.)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Enough time to do a meet and greet and exchange info, at least.)
** (2) Kibin rests on the ground while the people that know about magic talk about it. **
(2) Kibin: (I kind of assumed we'd be using the telekinetic sphere to go over to their plane or something...)
(5) Elorin: (that's next)
(2) Kibin: (Ah.)
(1) GM: (Hoping for an army......)
(5) Elorin: (we want insurance that our knowledge isn't lost with us if we fail and die)
(2) Kibin: (I have no intentions of dying any time soon.)
(3) Kaylin: (all it takes at levels like these is to fail a fort save...)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Eldon has taken stopping the invaders up as a Cause)
(2) Kibin: (And I have no intention of failing any fortitude saves.)
(3) Kaylin: (5% chance of unavoidable failure.)
(1) GM: (Dice sometimes have other ideas.....)
(2) Kibin: (Any lethal fortitude saves at least.)
(3) Kaylin: (Good luck with that)
(1) GM: Spot checks?
(3) Kaylin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+4] -> [6,4] = (10)
(2) Kibin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+15] -> [5,15] = (20)
(5) Elorin: Ok, so we need a good description. Would two minutes of talking be long enough to get one from a summoned celestial? And what kind would be most likely to be able to give one?
(5) Elorin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+10] -> [3,10] = (13)
whispering to Kibin, Cloud above flipped over, and the precipitation is on it's way down.....
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Remember what happened the last time we summoned one? Library, folks. Or some sort of contact, first.)
(5) Elorin: (I'm talking about Summon Monster, not Planar Binding)
(2) Kibin (whispering): Are my wings large enough to act as an umbrella.
(5) Elorin: (can't get anywhere near as powerful, but we don't need powerful for this, just knowledge)
whispering to Kibin, From rain, yes.
** (2) Kibin extends his wings, and puts them above him like a shield. **
(5) Elorin: (thunderstorm crossed the gravity line?)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Does summon monster actually pull something from another plane? I've heard that it just temporarily creates whatever it is?)
(1) GM: Let's see..... Eldon is inside the beast at the moment; Everyone else takes damage as very, very large hailstones start pounding the ground in mass.....
(2) Kibin: (Oookay. That was unexpected.)
(1) GM: Kibin: [3d6-3] -> [6,1,3,-3] = (7), Kaylin: [3d6-3] -> [3,1,2,-3] = (3), Elorin: [3d6-3] -> [2,1,2,-3] = (2)
(5) Elorin: (let's see, new day since last combat, so Heroes' Feast: [1d8+10] -> [5,10] = (15))
(1) GM: (As the books talk about what happens when one gets killed, yes, it's pulling them from somewhere.)
(2) Kibin: (Heh. A summoning spell on your ally.)
(3) Kaylin: (brb, cleaning up breakfast dishes and getting a drink)
(1) GM: (Needs to be an Outsider or an Elemental)
(2) Kibin: (Bah.)
(1) GM: (Well, also Magical Beasts, technically...)
(1) GM: The hail continues, and gets evern larger, if that's possible.
** (5) Elorin starts looking for shelter **
(1) GM: Kibin: [3d6] -> [4,6,3] = (13), Kaylin: [3d6] -> [5,1,3] = (9), Elorin: [3d6] -> [3,1,4] = (8), Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [1,2,5] = (8)
** (2) Kibin quickly looks around for cover... **
(1) GM: The hailstones don't appear to damage Eldon's metal beast at all. (DR 15)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (What's the DR?)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Ah, thanks.)
(1) GM: Jason, being incorporeal, isn't particularly bothered.
(1) GM: Jason: Anyone got a rope?
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kibin: [3d6] -> [2,4,6] = (12), Kaylin: [3d6] -> [1,1,4] = (6), Elorin: [3d6] -> [4,1,5] = (10), Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [5,1,4] = (10)
(2) Kibin: (And no cover to be seen? :P)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (I imagine the robot might provide some cover.)
(1) GM: Unfortunately, this particular side of the plane is a bunch of farmlad; you see lots of crops, but very little that might help with this.
** (3) Kaylin runs under the metal thing **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Or some sort of force spell.)
(6) Kibin (enter): 11:01
(6) Kibin: (Bah, got disconnected.)
(2) Kibin (exit): 11:01
(1) GM: Everyone online?
(3) Kaylin: (yep)
(6) Kibin: (Yeah, it's just my crappy internet connection.)
(1) GM: Your end, then. Last line seen?
(5) Elorin: Uh, got anything to provide cover? A Tiny Hut, perhaps?
(6) Kibin: (Third hailstorm...)
(1) GM: Jason: Not a real one; can put you on a different plane, though, if you've got a rope.
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kibin: [3d6] -> [5,4,1] = (10), Kaylin: [3d6] -> [3,4,5] = (12), Elorin: [3d6] -> [2,2,5] = (9), Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [2,2,3] = (7)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Yep)
(1) GM: Kaylin, hiding hunder Eldon's beast, takes only half damage.
(3) Kaylin: If you're going to talk, at least come under here...
** (5) Elorin comes under Eldon's beast **
** (6) Kibin decides that he's ad enough of getting pelted by hailstones, uses his Alternate Form ability to turn into a small badger, and burrows underground. **
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kaylin: [3d6/2] -> 4.5, Elorin: [3d6/2] -> 5.5, Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [1,4,2] = (7)
(5) Elorin: Sure, I've got rope, but isn't it a bit dangerous taking certain bags and such inside a rope trick?
(1) GM: Jason: True. Hmm.... Kaylin, you got anything good for this?
** (6) Kibin hides safely in his underground cover. **
(3) Kaylin: At the moment, nothing
(1) GM: Jason: So no Resilient Sphere or Telekenetic Sphere handy? Pity.
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kaylin: [3d6/2] -> 3.5, Elorin: [3d6/2] -> 4.5, Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [2,3,4] = (9)
(1) GM: The pounding is smashing the surrounding farmland quite a bit.
(1) GM: Spot checks? (But not Kibin)
(5) Elorin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+10] -> [13,10] = (23)
(3) Kaylin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+4] -> [4,4] = (8)
(3) Kaylin: I could do a shadow evocation on a secure shelter or mansion.
whispering to Elorin, You're not totally certain, but you think there's an edge to the storm about three hundred feet from where you're hiding.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: [1d20] -> [9] = (9)
whispering to Eldon Quickfoot, Eldon - you need an Int check, then a 1d20+20.
(5) Elorin: I think I see an edge to this storm.
(5) Elorin: Ready for a 300 foot dash in that direction?
** (5) Elorin points **
(3) Kaylin: Small storm. Sounds good.
** (6) Kibin hmmms, makes a large enough space underground for him to fit in, goes back into his regular dragon form(Assuming there's still a hole to the surface), and starts going into gaseous form. **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: [1d20+8] -> [6,8] = (14)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: [1d20+20] -> [17,20] = (37)
whispering to Eldon Quickfoot, The display is doing something, but you aren't sure what.
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kaylin: [3d6/2] -> 5.0, Elorin: [3d6/2] -> 7.5, Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [1,4,3] = (8)
(6) Kibin: (Can I hear everyone else?)
(1) GM: Listen check?
** (5) Elorin casts Wind Walk on himself and Kaylin and zooms away **
(6) Kibin: Listen Skill Check: [1d20+18] -> [12,18] = (30)
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Wind Walk ( level 6, "You and your allies turn vaporous and travel fast" )
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Level 6 Spell ( level 6, "Spell slot tracking device" )
(1) GM: Yes, you can.
(1) GM: The hail continues.... Kaylin: [3d6/2] -> 5.5, Elorin: [3d6/2] -> 4.5, Eldon's Beast (DR applies) [3d6] -> [4,4,2] = (10)
(1) GM: Still under beast, but you have DR 10/Magic, now, which applies, so.....
(5) Elorin: (600 feet should put me out of the area, right?0
(1) GM: (Yep)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (So I guess we are heading out of the storm?)
(1) GM: Elorin and Kaylin, yes.
** (6) Kibin waits for nearly a minute to resume gaseous state, goes out of the hole, and zooms towards wherever the other people are at. **
** (3) Kaylin cloudifies **
(1) GM: You heard, you didn't see. Spot check?
(6) Kibin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+15] -> [18,15] = (33)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: Eldon also heads.
** (5) Elorin solidifies outside the storm area **
(1) GM: Let's see.... Large object in plain sight, DC 0; 300 feet of distance, DC 30; Hail in the way, call it DC +10. Sorry. You have no idea where everyone went. Take damage. [3d6-10] -> [3,3,5,-10] = (1)
(1) GM: Although you can tell there's a break in the storm about three hundred feet away.
(6) Kibin: (*wishes the GM had the dragonmicon...*)
** (3) Kaylin unclouds outside the storm **
** (6) Kibin goes towards the break in the storm, then. **
whispering to Unknown!, 1: Left, 3, right, 2 on: [1d3] -> [3] = (3)
2 Unknown!
(1) GM: And you find yourself a considerable distance from the party.
(1) GM: Far to their right, by about a hundred feet, but outside the storm.
(5) Elorin: (after Kibin arrives...)
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Mass Cure Light Wounds ( level 5, "Cures 1d8 damage +1/level for many creatures" )
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Level 5 Spell ( level 5, "Spell slot tracking device" )
(5) Elorin: [1d8+19] -> [1,19] = (20)
(1) GM: After a while, the storm moves off, leaving lots of pineapple sized chunks of ice on the ground in it's wake.
(5) Elorin: So, now that we're not being pounded by hail, back to discussing how to find a description of the Hall of the Valiant
(5) Elorin: Do you think that town has a library likely to contain such information, or will we have to go elsewhere?
(1) GM: Knoweledge(Local)?
(5) Elorin: Or try summoning something that might know.
(3) Kaylin: Knowledge: Local Skill Check: [1d20+13] -> [18,13] = (31)
(6) Kibin: Knowledge: Local Skill Check: [1d20+5] -> [20,5] = (25)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (BRB)
whispering to Kaylin, Kibin, Yeah, there's a library. Might have what you're looking for, might not; it's a different plane, with people drawn from a different religion, but you never know.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Back)
whispering to GM, [1d100] -> [56] = (56)
(3) Kaylin: There's a library in town that might have the information we need.
(7) Kibin (enter): 11:21
(7) Kibin: Yeah, there was a library in town.
(5) Elorin: Ah, good. No plane shifting around just to find a good library.
(6) Kibin (exit): 11:22
(7) Kibin: (Dang comcast.)
(1) GM: (shared connection issue; I've done continuous ping tests as a diagnostic; it acts like an overloaded switch occasionally - usually means someone else was downloading a little much at once .... which I do regularly, so.....)
** (7) Kibin goes flies off to the library, then. **
(5) Elorin: You two go look it up, Eldon and I will stay and guard the prisoner and machine.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (We do have a nice 'Captured' sign for it, right?)
(7) Kibin: (Nope.)
(5) Elorin: (no, decided the effort wasn't necessary with no one on this plane even having heard rumors about the invaders)
(7) Kibin: (We agreed that we didn't need it, right?)
** (3) Kaylin goes to town **
(1) GM: The library is rather quiet; the place is stout wood and plaster, with a few places in the walls that look like they could use a new coat of paint. There is a young looking elven woman standing behind a counter, wearing glasses, reading a book. Many wooden shelves fill the place, old, faded, and full of leather bound books of different colors and sizes, mostly faded tomes.
(1) GM: The paint is faded, but it looks like there were once letters on the sides of the shelves.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Don't remember that - But then, my brain is stuffed with cotton balls.)
** (7) Kibin goes search the books for a description of that place, then. **
(1) GM: Languages?
whispering to GM, Looking for Celestiall, of course.
** (3) Kaylin asks the librarian if they have any books on extraplanar geography **
(7) Kibin: (Common, undercommon, and draconic.)
(7) Kibin: (Why does Kaylin have to show off and ask the librarian. :(
(1) GM: Elven woman: Why yes, we have a few. Any particular locale?
(3) Kaylin: (It's easier than manually searching? :P)
(3) Kaylin: I'd like to visit the Hall of the Valiant, on Ysgard
(7) Kibin: (Says you without the +19 search modifier.)
whispering to Kibin, Unfortunately, you can't read any of the titles.....
(3) Kaylin: (have fun searching for books you can't read the titles of :P)
** (7) Kibin sighs, and comes back to Kaylin. **
(1) GM: Elven Woman: Ysgard? Let's see.... that'd be under omega.....
(1) GM: The woman steps out from behind the counter..... and you notice her feet are much dantier than most elves, and are bare. Strangely, they have grass stains.
(1) GM: The woman walks over to a particular shelf, and starts looking through the books.....
** (7) Kibin asks the librarian, "What language are those books in?" **
** (3) Kaylin follows her **
(1) GM: Woman: Celestial, of course. What else would they be written in?
(1) GM: After a bit of looking, the woman selects a tome, and hands it to Kaylin.
(1) GM: Librarian: This should be the one you're looking for. Just make sure to leave it here; we aren't a lending library at present.
(1) GM: Librarian: Just leave it on my counter; I'll file it. Don't want them to accidentally get out of order.
(3) Kaylin: All right. Kibin, would you be so kind as to fetch Elorin? I don't have the ability to cast a spell to read Celestial at the moment.
(3) Kaylin: Thank you.
(7) Kibin: Sure...
** (7) Kibin flies over to Elorin, saying, "Kaylin needs your help, apparently all the books are written in Celestial..." **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Once he arrives) "Then you should take over watching for him. One person cannot watch efficiently."
(7) Kibin: This plane is quiet except for a few odd storms it seems, I'm sure nothing is going to happen to it..."
(7) Kibin: (Or whatever you were watching. Hmmm.)
(7) Kibin: (Oh, prisoner and machine.)
(5) Elorin: Ok. You take over here, then.
** (5) Elorin cloudifies and flies off. **
** (7) Kibin sighs, and stays there, then... **
(1) GM: Oh, right - forgot about him.... let's see, he would have taken damage four or five times...... [12d6] -> [1,1,2,4,6,3,2,6,6,5,5,3] = (44)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "We havn't been here long and can hardly expect to know all that might happen."
** (5) Elorin lands, solidifies, and asks for directions to the library. **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Uh.Oh.)
(1) GM: Much of which would have been under the machine, but still...... badly beaten, he was, but didn't quite perish.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Elorin would have healed him)
(1) GM: Diplomacy check?
(5) Elorin: Diplomacy Skill Check: [1d20+4] -> [16,4] = (20)
(1) GM: And you get directions to the library.
(1) GM: People seem quite friendly and helpful about it.
** (5) Elorin thanks them, walks into the library, and looks around for Kaylin **
(1) GM: And finds her; it's not a particularly large library.
(5) Elorin: Spot Skill Check: [1d20+10] -> [19,10] = (29)
** (7) Kibin waits with the machine and prisoner while watching the clouds go by, until Elorin comes back or something else happens. **
(5) Elorin: Ah, there you are. Kibin said you need help reading Celestial?
(3) Kaylin: Ah, yes.
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Comprehend Languages ( level 1, "You understand all spoken and written languages" )
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Level 1 Spell ( level 1, "Spell slot tracking device" )
(5) Elorin: (on Kaylin)
(1) GM: Intelligence check, Kaylin, DC 10.
(3) Kaylin: Int check: [1d20+8] -> [10,8] = (18)
(1) GM: (Otherwise known as "don't roll a 1")
(5) Elorin: (which is all too often a new entry into "famous last words" :P)
(3) Kaylin: (hehehe)
** (3) Kaylin reads **
(8) Kibin (enter): 11:40
whispering to Kaylin, You quickly open up to the index, look up the Hall of the Valiant, and turn right to the page. You find a wonderful description of a huge hall built of a single massive ash, where Kord presides over a never-ending feast, and flesh carved from an immortal pig is served. The description goes on for a few pages, and is qutie detailed about the various things found there.
(8) Kibin: (Last I heard was kaylin saying (hehehe)
(5) Elorin: (all you missed was "*Kaylin read*")
(7) Kibin (exit): 11:41
(3) Kaylin (whispering): Is that enough information?
whispering to Kaylin, Yep.
(3) Kaylin: I believe we are done here.
** (3) Kaylin returns the book to the librarian **
** (8) Kibin yawns, and goes to sleep while waiting for Kaylin and Elorin to return. **
(1) GM: Librarian: I do hope you found what you were looking for. Care to make a small donation to cover repairs, my salary, and the occasional new book?
(5) Elorin: Ah, good.
(3) Kaylin: Certainly... all in a good cause...
** (5) Elorin has no idea how small a "small" donation here would be **
(3) Kaylin: How much would be a good amount?
(1) GM: Librarian: We don't charge, really; anything you can readily afford, be that coppers or platinums.
** (3) Kaylin digs out 750 gold and donates and feels all good about herself **
(1) GM: The librarian smiles.
(1) GM: Librarian: Ah, thank you. This should go far.
(1) GM: The elven woman dropps the coins into a purse she carries.
(3) Kaylin: Of course. Library maintenance is very important.
(3) Kaylin: (I must go now. Sorry)
(1) GM: Have fun.
(3) Kaylin: (I guess you'll want to NPC me for the casting, at least)
(3) Kaylin has sent you a tree node...
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Bye)
(5) Elorin: (bye)
(8) Kibin: (Bye, have fun.)
(5) Elorin: (see you next week)
(3) Kaylin: (bye everyone)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (See ya.)
(1) GM: Got it, by the way.
(8) Kibin: (So... where were we?)
(1) GM: Just about to leave the library, I imagine.
** (5) Elorin walks out, cloudifies, and flies off to Kibin and Eldon **
(5) Elorin: (Kaylin presumably follows)
(1) GM: Kaylin and Jason follow.
(1) GM: Back in the group, standing out somewhere unimportant, with lots of ordered vegitation nearby.....
(5) Elorin: Ok, got the description. Everyone ready?
** (8) Kibin wakes up when everyone gets back. **
(1) GM: Jason: Yep. Kaylin?
(8) Kibin: Yeah, I'm ready.
(1) GM: Kaylin: Of coruse. Are you ready in your metal beast, Eldon?
(5) Elorin: My spell hasn't run out yet, has it?
(1) GM: Probably not, no.
(5) Elorin: (Comprehend Languages cast on Eldon last session)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Yes."
(1) GM: That.... duration?
(5) Elorin: (3 hours and 10 minutes)
(1) GM: That would likely still be active.
(1) GM: Kaylin: Well then....
Kaylin casts Gate ( level 9, "Creates interdimensional connection." )
Kaylin can cast Gate 0 more times
(1) GM: Kaylin opens a 20 foot diameter portal in thin air, shoing a wooden door with no proportion refference on the other side, surrounded by a golden hoop.
(1) GM: Kaylin: Can't hold this open for more than a minute or two.
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot puts his left arm in. **
** (5) Elorin walks through **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Testing, testing...)
(1) GM: And does not see his left arm through the window, but sees Elorin quite clearly.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (It's not transporting him?)
(9) Kibin (enter): 11:55
whispering to Elorin, You see a strange sight - the metal arm is sticking into the window, but it appears safely cut off.....
(1) GM: Nope.
(9) Kibin: (Last I heard was Eldon's (Testing, Testing...)
(1) GM: And does not see his left arm through the window, but sees Elorin quite clearly.
(8) Kibin (exit): 11:55
(1) GM: Eldon: (It's not trapsporting him?)
(1) GM: (Bah! Stupid keyboard.....)
(5) Elorin: (huh? How does that work? The Gate isn't affecting the machine, it's creating a passageway that anything should be able to go through)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (I just copy-paste from the text list.)
(1) GM: (It's still magic, and it's special case magic immunity is still active)
** (9) Kibin goes through the portal with Elorin. **
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot pops out the back. **
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: [1d20] -> [5] = (5)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Plus eight should be enough.)
(1) GM: Elorin - Spellcraft check?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Maybe if we dragged it?"
(5) Elorin: (that just doesn't make sense to me)
(5) Elorin: Spellcraft Skill Check: [1d20+21] -> [9,21] = (30)
(9) Kibin: (It's a plane shift spell that activates when you do a specific action, such as walking through the gate.)
(5) Elorin: (I don't suppose there's a way to turn that feature off?)
whispering to Elorin, It seems to be acting like a big wall in the way of the controller, that's somehow still attended, and thus isn't getting affected by much of anything magical - no line of effect, despite the fact that the beast is clearly there.
whispering to Elorin, If it wasn't attended......
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: [1d20+8] -> [17,8] = (25)
whispering to Eldon Quickfoot, It doesn't appear to be a deliberate design feature.
** (9) Kibin waits for everyone else on the other side of the portal. **
(5) Elorin: (I always thought of it as sort of creating a wormhole between the planes so things could step through as if the two locations were right next to each other)
(9) Kibin: (Not the way D&D stuff works.)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "It doesn't appear to be deliberate."
(9) Kibin: (You're thinking of a permanent planar portal, like the ones we've been using.)
(5) Elorin: Hmm, it might be possible to drag it through if no one's inside, I think. (If I understand Jack's whispers correctly)
(1) GM: Kaylin: Well hurry up!
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot starts dragging. **
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Righteous Might ( level 5, "Your size increases, and you gain combat bonuses" )
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Level 5 Spell ( level 5, "Spell slot tracking device" )
(1) GM: Int check to get out?
** (5) Elorin attempts to drag it through **
(5) Elorin: (didn't he already do that?)
(1) GM: (While back - new every time, though.....)
(9) Kibin: (Out of curiosity, is the int check for a function you've done before at least a -2 on the DC for each time you've successfully done it before?)
(1) GM: Strength rating, Elorin?
(1) GM: Nope; you can take the skill and the feat for it, but it's kinda complex.
(5) Elorin: (18 strength, large size, drag limit of 3000 pounds)
(9) Kibin: (Bleh. I can figure out the controls to anything in a few minutes...)
(5) Elorin: (waiting for Eldon to get out first, of course)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Already out.)
(1) GM: Slight problem..... 5,000 lbs.
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Divine Power ( level 4, "You gain attack bonus, +6 to Str, and 1 hp/level" )
(5) Elorin: Elorin casts Level 4 Spell ( level 4, "Spell slot tracking device" )
(5) Elorin: (4000 pounds now)
(5) Elorin: (can the rest of you drag the remaining 1000?)
(1) GM: Jason: Umm....
** (9) Kibin goes help as well. **
(1) GM: Shadow Conjouration, Level 4: Mimics conjuration below 4th level, but only 20% real
(9) Kibin: (Thus adding another 750 of pushing/pulling power...)
(1) GM: Faking Summon Monster 3, Fiendish monstrous Centipede - Huge, str 17.....
(1) GM: And the thing is pulled through the portal, finally. Kaylin and Jason follow.
(9) Kibin: (Hmmm. What's Elorin's max load?)
(9) Kibin: (Normal max load.)
(1) GM: Jason: Oookay. That was fun.
(5) Elorin: (for these two minutes, 800 pounds. Normally, 175)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Fiendish??)
(9) Kibin: (Meh, mine is only 150.)
(1) GM: (Biggest critter on the list of possibles - best strength rating, best carrying capacity, effectively a quadruped......)
(5) Elorin: phew
** (5) Elorin wipes his forehead **
(5) Elorin: That thing's heavy
(1) GM: [260*30] -> 7800
(9) Kibin: (Is this plane aligned with law, chaos, good, or anything like that out of curiosity?)
(1) GM: And it could drag the thing all on it's lonesome.... were it not merely 20% real.....
(9) Kibin: (20% real for someone if they disbelieve it, 100% otherwise.)
(1) GM: Not really, but you are picking up Fast Healing/2 while on Ysgard.
(1) GM: (Objects, unfortunately, are treated as always making thier Will saves vs. Shadow stuff)
(5) Elorin: (well, I guess I won't be needing to cast any healing spells outside of combat here)
(9) Kibin: (Oh.)
** (9) Kibin watches as the few bruises he had from the hail heals. **
(1) GM: Now that you have some perspective on them, the doors are huge. Fifty feet tall, with a handle about halfway up, and thirty feet wide. Wooden, as is the rest of the place.
** (9) Kibin looks around. "So is this the right place we're supposed to meet at?" **
(1) GM: Curiously, the wood grain pattern on the door and frame is continuous, as though it came from one chunk of wood. As is the wall......
** (5) Elorin raises an eyebrow **
(5) Elorin: They must grow some really big trees around here.
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot tries to estimate. [1d20+8] -> [19,8] = (27) **
(1) GM: The door creaks, and ponderously opens. You see a familiar looking, Large, winged woman. The lady the Archmagister had sommoned.
whispering to Eldon Quickfoot, Near as you can tell, the entire building was carved from the same tree. And it's a _very_ big building.
(5) Elorin: Greetings.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Salutations. You wanted a meeting?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "As you can see, we've discovered a few things about the invaders." *Points at the armor*
(1) GM: She seems to be wearing a nice blue cloak, that folds a little behind her wings.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Ah... is it dead? They normally vanish.....
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Wait... the back is open..... strange.....
(1) GM: She's as tall as it is......
(9) Kibin: There's a person inside it driving it.
(5) Elorin: No. We managed to extract the pilot.
** (5) Elorin points to the bound prisoner **
(9) Kibin: And the person inside is very fragile...
(1) GM: The winged woman reaches down and picks up the gnome.
(1) GM: The gnome looks very frightened.
(1) GM: Woman: That's it? Hiding inside these beasts are .... pathetic little gnomes?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "It's just a machine." *Points at machine*
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Extremly complicated, but still, a machine."
(9) Kibin: And they're not exactly gnomes, at least that's what they say.
(1) GM: Woman: What do they say they are?
(1) GM: The woman turns him upside down to look at him from a different angle.
(10) Kibin (enter): 12:20
(1) GM: Woman: More importantly, how'd you do it?
(10) Kibin: Uh, that didn't exactly get through the translation.(repeat)
(10) Kibin: (And I last heard who do they say they are.)
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot explains about the catches in the seams. **
(9) Kibin (exit): 12:20
(1) GM: (Didn't get that line - last I saw from you was "And they're not exactly gnomes, at least that's what they say")
(1) GM: The woman turns him upside down to look at him from a different angle.
(1) GM: Woman: More importantly, how'd you do it?
(1) GM: Woman: Ah, seams - and tell me, how do you get them, in the middle of a fight, when they're trying to kill you? Gah, must take a dirty little nimble thief....
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "I am not a thief. I am a swashbuckler."
(10) Kibin: Not dirty, nor a thief...
(5) Elorin: This particular one, Jason took control of and teleported him out. They seem no have no weapons or defenses against incorporeality. A distasteful tactic, to be sure, but we were a little desperate at the time.
(1) GM: Woman: Ah. Wonderful. Still though.... means we need to hire an unsavory class of people.*sigh*
(5) Elorin: More important, perhaps, is that we have discovered where they come from and how to get there - and that at least some of their special defenses don't work there.
(1) GM: Woman: Oh?
(10) Kibin: Elorin, might it be that they produce those things someplace else OTHER than that center plane?
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot is very firmly not speaking right now. **
(5) Elorin: There is some sort of almost maze of passages with a great many portals to other planes in it.
(10) Kibin: No, it's not a maze, more like a grid...
(5) Elorin: They discovered one of the portals on their own plane and have since puzzled out how to navigate it.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Mostly because he might say something unfortunate.)
(5) Elorin: And, according to this guy (points at prisoner), the machines' safeguards work neither there nor on the plane they were made on.
(1) GM: The archmagister's old flame rolls her eyes.
(5) Elorin: And, we found the portal to their home plane in the complex.
** (10) Kibin wonders how long it took for them to figure out, what it took himself a few hours. **
(5) Elorin: At least, we're pretty sure it's their home plane, it's at least a major basing point.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: So all we have to do is push them all the way back to the accursed hole they came out of, go through it, continue killing them there, find the home portal in something described as a maze, and then work through their home turf? Joy.
(10) Kibin: Actually, I was hoping we could just resolve it peacefully.
whispering to Kibin, Your character was there when it was mentioned that the labels were added... by the gnomes; and weren't there naturally.
(5) Elorin: There are other holes to access the place, and we know how to navigate it fairly easily.
(10) Kibin: Aside from the fact that we need some absolute coordinates, that we have to figure out either by a lot of walking, or by comparing it relative to antoher plane we know the coordinates of...
(5) Elorin: There is one we know of on the prime material plane, which they had not gone very far from last we knew, and another we just came from on the Dual Paradise of Bytopia (I think I got that right) that they haven't come through at all yet.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: So we can invade where they aren't actively guarding... that helps. What language do you think they would understand, then, for resolving this peacefully? Usually called the Twin Paradises of Bytopia, aren't they?
(10) Kibin: (Brb a few minutes.)
(5) Elorin: I don't know what they call the language, but I've heard enough of it to reproduce it with a Tongues spell.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: You misunderstand - we have many that can talk to them; we know because they occasionally hurl insults. How to get them to listen?
(5) Elorin: Ah, that's the problem
(5) Elorin: Everyone we've encountered in these machines apparently has orders to shoot anyone but their fellows on sight.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Prove that we can hurt them."
(5) Elorin: This one says we might be able to talk things over with their ambassadors - if we can get to them.
(10) Kibin: (Back. Just had to own someone on a racing game.)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (...)
(5) Elorin: And impress them enough to dispel their conception that everyone but their own race are vermin.
(10) Kibin: And I've apparently gotten one over that. They shoot me on sight before anyone else.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Like I said, prove we can hurt their empire."
(1) GM: (Strange; didn't know racing games included slavery......)
(10) Kibin: (Haha.)
(1) GM: Archmagister's Old Flame: Ah, yes, they do tend to single out those they consider dangerous; especially healers.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: I take it you're the one who got this thing open?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Perhaps introducing them to a few more infinite planes would humble them."
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Talking to Eldon?)
(10) Kibin: Yeah.
(10) Kibin: I can do it without doing any damage... but that takes a while.
(1) GM: (Kibin - who mentioned there's an order about to really hurt Kibin....)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Oh - Missed that.)
(5) Elorin: He's done it a few more times, but this is the only one that didn't have reinforcements arrive soon afterwards.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Capturing them isn't exactly top on our list of priorities.... still, if we can simply disable them, so they don't come back.....
(10) Kibin: Probally because of lack of communication or something.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Could you scan the armor for evil?"
(1) GM: The large girl smiles in a rather predatory fasion.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Already have; there isn't any. Your incorporeal friend technically shows up, but then, Ghosts are commonly misunderstood for that reason. He shows up under Detect Good, though, so.....
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "Good. I've figured out how to pilot it, but was wary."
(5) Elorin: The easiest permanent disabling would be to just destroy them on their own turf, if our prisoner wasn't misleading us about that. Which would require a pretty good bluffer under serious pressure, as he made it seem just a slip.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "I have spent quite some time in various courts of the land and am not easily fooled.'
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Simple orders to the troops, then.... invade this maze, and cleanse it. How big did you say it was?
(10) Kibin: Uh.... About 15,000 rooms.
(5) Elorin: The complex itself? Gigantic. Near 15000 rooms, each with a planar portal.
(10) Kibin: Each connecting to a different plane.
(1) GM: The winged woman puts a hand to her forehead.
(5) Elorin: We know which one connects to their home plane, though.
(10) Kibin: And, we have no clue that it IS their home plane..
(1) GM: Angel Lady: Too many. For holding off the current invasions, too.... joy.
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Let me guess. 'A small, picked force will invade the enemies' home plane...')
(11) Kibin (enter): 12:44
(11) Kibin: (Heard the angel lady saying Too many.)
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: ( :D )
(1) GM: Angel lady: Still.... perhaps a small task force...... Heh, you free? You seem to have knoweledge of the place.....
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (4) Eldon Quickfoot: (Let me guess. 'A small, picked force will invade the enemies' home plane...')
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: "And what assistance might we get?"
(1) GM: Winged Woman: What do you need? This, I think, is worth what we can spare.
(10) Kibin (exit): 12:45
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (My brain is kinda asleep...)
(11) Kibin: I don't suppose you've made any magic items that can help protect against those projectiles yet?
(4) Eldon Quickfoot: (We are lacking in muscle...)
(11) Kibin: (Which is why I assumed we'd be using the telekinetic sphere to go in there, and get to a leader, to talk with the leader.)
(1) GM: Winged Woman: There's a few rings that help sommat, certain gloves.... cloaks don't seem to work, though.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: They seem to have some way to discern a location that doesn't rely on visual ques.
(5) Elorin: Yeah, we figured that out when they shot through an illusion of a wall.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: You should have seen what they did to the herd of displacer beasts......
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Or is that "pack"? I can never quite recall....
(5) Elorin: (hmm, ring of protection +5, Monk's Belt, and get rid of my armor, and my touch AC would actually be decently hard to hit for them)
(11) Kibin: I think pack is predatory, herd is for herbivores.
(1) GM: Winged Woman: Pack, then.....
(11) Kibin: (Aside from when you get flat footed... : )
(5) Elorin: (yeah, but touch AC pretty much always sucks then unless you have Uncanny Dodge)
(11) Kibin: (Yup.)
(11) Kibin: (*hugs his class features*)
(1) GM: Winged Woman: They seem to have a harder time hitting smaller things, of course, and those monks really know how to stay out of the way....
(12) Kibin (enter): 12:54
(12) Kibin: (Last I heard is harder time hitting smaller things.)
(1) GM: (which was the last line typed, so....)
(5) Elorin: Well, our not-so-detailed plan involved teleporting around in a Telekinetic Sphere after getting descriptions from our prisoner, but we can't be certain combat won't happen, so...
(11) Kibin (exit): 12:55
(12) Kibin: (Hehe. The neo squad)
** (12) Kibin hmmmms, thinking. "It might be nice, if peace is ever accomplished, to use these portals for easier planar travel..." **
(5) Elorin: Rings of protection would help a bit, and Kaylin has a belt that she says helps dodge like a monk, some of those might be useful...
(1) GM: Winged woman: Yes.... we can definately lend you a few..... maybe even let you keep some.... meanwhile, come on in; it's dinner time.
(12) Kibin: (Elorin should really have a monk's belt.)
(1) GM: The woman gestures into the door.
** (12) Kibin thinks, "Ooo, free magic items..." **
** (4) Eldon Quickfoot goes in the door. **
(5) Elorin: I've got a fairly large supply of adamantine arrows, and I think Kibin got a sword of the material, but Eldon's still using ordinary steel, which doesn't work too well.
(5) Elorin: Thank you.
** (5) Elorin walks in **
(12) Kibin: Yeah, I have an adamantine shortsword...
(1) GM: (Except that he'd have to lose the Armor and animated shield to use it.....
(5) Elorin: (Monk's Belt would drop my normal AC by 2, but touch would go up by 9)
(5) Elorin: (Armor counts for 4, shield +Magic Vestment for 7)
(12) Kibin: (He'd have to lose the armor, but he could keep his armor enchantment, I believe.)
(5) Elorin: (I can cast Magic Vestment on a shirt instead, so that part would still count)
(5) Elorin: (At least in this situation, it's a worthwhile tradeoff)
(12) Kibin: (Yup.)
(5) Elorin: (before, we weren't dealing with enough touch attacks)
(12) Kibin: (So you lose a bit for your lack of chainshirt, which is what? About 4 AC?)
(5) Elorin: (4 for the chain shirt, 7 for the shield)
(5) Elorin: (total loss of 11. gain from belt would be 9)
(1) GM: The winged lady leads you into a feast in progress; there are lots, and lots of people feasting, eating from plentiful platters of pork, drinking mountons of mead, and there's very large areas around the stout tables where people seem to wrestle for sport. Little children carry the platters in from a door in the back. A huge throne, scaled as the entryway, sits empty.
(5) Elorin: (add a ring of protection +5, and my touch AC would be 31)
(1) GM: Most the feasters look like they've been through many battles.
(12) Kibin: (Heh. If you do that, you'll be nearly invincible to disintergrates.)
** (12) Kibin asks, "Why is a lot of the stuff here so big?" **
(5) Elorin: (32 while Hasted :D)
(12) Kibin: (Where does it say that a shield counts as armor?)
(1) GM: Winged Woman: This is Kord's house. Take your time, enjoy the festivities; perhaps engage in a match or two, if you feel up to it. I'm off to fetch a few things....
(1) GM: (under the things it matters for - "She loses these bonuses when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.")
(12) Kibin: (Oh.)
(1) GM: (a small clip from the Monk's AC bonus entry - which is how the Monk's Belt runs)
(1) GM: The winged woman walks out of the room, through the servant's entrence, where the children come and go with empty and full platters of steaming ham, bacon, and other pork products, as well as the many cups of mead.
