(2) Jack Simth: Oh sure they will. They'll just do the "hail of arrows" thing from maximium range - let's see...... Human Fighter 1's with Far shot and Composite Longbows have 110*1.5=165 foot range increments, 10 range increments max, 1,650 foot range; grab four hundred of them, and you get hit with 20 per round, one of which crits (on average)

(4) Elorin: (bah, I just need an enchantment on my bow that makes my arrows be considered "exceptional projectiles" just like giant boulders :P)

(2) GM: Winged Lady: Oh, not for a while yet. This is hardly the end of time coming up. These are a strange people. They know they can't win. Every prophecy of theirs says they can't win. And yet....... still they continue.
(2) GM: Winged Lady: Of course, they could maybe win if they could only ever get orginized. Never seen such an unruly mob outside of a tavern...... then again, maybe this IS a tavern, in a way.

(2) GM: Winged Lady: Part of it comes from getting all the generals that died on the field of battle. What they need are the ones who died of old age in their sleep fifty years after finishing successful campaings....
(4) Elorin: Yeah, getting the people that die in battle generally does favor the less skilled

(1) Kibin: Well, I don't think I've ever met a god, so I don't think I've even gotten a chance to do something like that yet.

(3) Kaylin: For example, what sorts of people might be hostile to us?
(2) GM: Winged Lady: Here? Not too many. The party is liable to be starting back up in about six hours or so, when most of them have gone down and the rest declare victory. At which point, this place will get kinda noisy again.
** (1) Kibin thinks that if he ever meets a god of nature, he's going to ask him why there's a reincarnation spell in the first place. **
(4) Elorin: (I suppose I could petition Ehlonna to meet you, but I can't guarantee how she'd respond...)

(4) Elorin: Hmm, Kaylin, do you have a Plane Shift and Teleport prepared?
(2) GM: Archmage's Old Flame: Some. They tend not to last too terribly long, though; no farming here, and the soldiers like sunny days.

(1) Kibin: Probally shouldn't try sleeping on one, then.
(4) Elorin: (and does my sudden insight last session about needing the mech empty to take it through the Gate mean Plane Shift etc. would work if no one's in it?)

(1) Kibin: Don't you have to be able to teleport the thing that's carrying it?
(4) Elorin: (I've got Summon Monster VIII, that can probably get something with really high carrying capacity)

(2) GM: Angel: Oh, it's in the middle of one of the normal battlefields. They've been having much fun with that. You know those things do, eventually, run out of pellets? Takes an age or two......

(2) GM: Winged Lady: Doesn't work so hot when they chase them back through, but hey.....

(4) Elorin: Actually, they don't even know what magic is.

(2) GM: Winged Lady: Well.... that's half true. Once here, they could be killed for good, if it weren't for this planes properties, which work on everyone equally. The locals die elsewhere, they stay that way, at least until someone springs for a True Ressurection.
(1) Kibin: So.... Jason, can you scout out the portal, seeing as how it's a lot harder for you to get hurt?
(1) Kibin: (If Jason is here, that is.)
(2) GM: Jason: Sure.....
(4) Elorin: Why would we go through this plane's portal when there's another much less guarded that we already know the coordinates of?
(2) GM: Winged lady: There's an active battle raging there, you realize?
(1) Kibin: Yes.
(2) GM: Angel: Well, just so you know. Care to follow me?
(1) Kibin: But Jason is a lot harder to kill than you or me.
(1) Kibin: Most weapons just go right through him..
(2) GM: Archmage's Old Flame: There are ways to keep even one such as him down.
(4) Elorin: Actually, he's pretty much impossible for them to even hurt with anything we've seen.

(2) GM: Angel: There's quite a few planes; most people go where they think they will, provided the local dieties approve. The ones that would have ended up here, having died in battle, but die of old age instead? Not such a pretty place. Rather harsh.

(4) Elorin: What, actually being good enough to survive all your battles is a bad thing?

(2) Angel: Yes; it's one of the few effects that can. But it can't be used too terribly often, as for the most part, there's only so many diamonds. This plane brings people back... but only if they died here, in a particular type of manner.

(2) Angel: Yes, provided it's here and not elsewhere.
