The Dominion is under the rule of the xenophobic Founders and their Jem'Hadar soldiers. The Dominion is very aggressive and are hostile towards all humanoid races.

Biological Description:
The Dominion is composed of several species with the Founders, Jem'Hadar, and Vorta as the major representatives. The Founders are shape-shifters who naturally exist in a gelatinous state alone or linked to other Shape shifters. They are able to assume complex forms or objects through the manipulation of their components. The Jem'Hadar are genetically engineered by the Founders to serve as the soldiers of the Dominion. They are bi-pedal reptilian humanoids with pronounced spiked ridges on their heads. Jem'Hadar are extremely strong and violent but are unable to survive without a crucial enzyme, Ketracel White. The Vorta were genetically modified by the Founders to serve as administrators. They have characteristic arched ridges on their heads. Vorta have good hearing, but poor eyesight

Society Description:
The Founders are treated as Gods by the Jem'Hadar and Vorta. The Founders are able to retain their power over many species through their Jem'Hadar soldiers, who are themselves controlled through a life-sustaining addiction to Ketracel White. The Founders are peaceful when it comes to their own species, but their distrust and hatred of humanoids has led them to conquer and kill countless races.

General History Description:
The Founders were once persecuted by humanoid races and in order to guarantee their survival, they use their manipulation abilities to form the Dominion, which has grown steadily over the last thousand years. The Founders have been able to maintain control over the Dominion through harsh punishment for all who disobey their rule. The recent discovery of the Bajoran wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant brought new threats to the Dominion, who responded with war in an attempt to spread their influence into the Alpha Quadrant. After the war ended, the Dominion retreated back to their space but remain a serious threat.
