(4) Violist: the only change I noticed from the Tome and Blood version was that the 3.5 version had 2 levels without gaining spellcasting instead of 1, and they were 4th and 7th
(1) GM: Rather than just losing out at 10th? Cool. They weakened it.
(1) GM: Although can you really call a PrC that lets you turn into a liviving fire "cool"?
(2) Kibin: Hmmm... you sacrifice two spell levels but become like an elemental, eventually becoming immune to a chosen energy type, but any energy dealing spells are of that spell type, and you get bonuses to spells of your energy subtype.
(4) Violist: Yeah, I was wanting to try an electricity-focused blaster
(2) Kibin: Of course, the energy substitution ability is apparently not toggleable. Against something immune to electricity, you're screwed.
(4) Violist: which is why you go for things like Disintegrate or Finger of Death :)
(2) Kibin: Disintergrate would do electric damage too I think. Hmmm.
(4) Violist: but yeah, non-toggleable energy substitution
(4) Violist: as far as I could tell it turns Fire, Cold, Electricity, and Acid into whatever your type is
(2) Kibin: Would the damage done by disintergration be considered energy damage?
(1) GM: It's not one of the energy types, so it's just spell damage.
(2) Kibin: At 10th level(maybe 9th, not sure), you get all the benefits of being an elemental.
(2) Kibin: And incidentally also lets you polymorph yourself into an elemental.
(4) Violist: 10th level, your type changes to elemental, with associated SA/SQ
(4) Violist: including vulnerabilities, I think
(1) GM: Yeah. Including movement modes. Fly 100 (Perfect) as an Ex ability, for air. Immunity to electricity, double damage from earth and acid.
(2) Kibin: Uh... didn't read anything about a vulnerability. Hmmm.
(1) GM: Can be hedged out (or in) by a Magic Circle Against [Bad dice format] - [An Aspect of Your Alignment] spell. As an elemental, subject to Planar Binding (although at this level, you've got enough HD that it takes Gate).
(4) Violist: Hmm, I didn't read anything about a double damage from acid
(4) Violist: Hmm, now there's an interesting idea...
(1) GM: It might not be in the 3.5 version, but towards the end of elemental perfection, there's a paragraph:

whispering to Kibin, The "spike" is a claw. A very large claw, on what appears to be an oversized, warped, turtle.

(1) GM: The rocks are about 70 feet from you.

(1) GM: Oh, and now that the dirt's out of the way, everyone can see quite clearly.

(4) Kaylin: "Six gems... Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Positive and Negative energy?"
(2) Kibin: Most likely. Using the gems in the right way it might be possible to actually control a single plane completely... I wonder if there's just one set of gems, or if there's one for each plane created by the gods...
(4) Kaylin: "We might want to contact the Plane of Earth and see what happened there..."
(2) Kibin: Maybe divine beings are actually a race that started in another plane that was created naturally, and created those gems to create all of those other thousands of planes...
(2) Kibin: If earth was destroyed, then that would mean there would be noone on the plane of earth to contact?

Things with mixed types now lack internal supports, and pure wooden buildings, being neither alive nor earth, are mostly utterly buried. People fell at different rates.

(1) GM: Jason: A rumor of knoweledge?
(4) Seshra: (not so much in this case...)

(1) GM: Jason: Anyway, there were six of them. Brown broke, and the ground vanished. We got it put back together, and the earth returned. We've heard a reference that two of them are "air" and "positive energy". Current best guess is that each one is related to one of the elements - Earth, air, fire water, positive, and negative energy.
(1) GM: Jason: So of course, an elemental specialist is liable to be handy.
(4) Seshra: "I see... so that's why everything suddenly went underground here."
(5) Quinn Padfoot: (I see 'twisting the truth' is a class skill...)
(1) GM: Jason: No. Nothing went underground. The ground vanished, things fell, the ground came back. At no point did anything go under ground, despite the fact that almost everything is there, now.

(1) GM: (He's not technically lying..... they were involved in it's repairing it, and the person who broke it isn't with them....)

(1) GM: Jason: Well, someone very powerful is actively seeking them. One who is no longer with us was charged with finding them. The trouble is that he's going to make a grave mistake when he finally gets them.

(4) Seshra: "What sort of mistake? Destroying the rest?"

(1) GM: Jason: Cutpurse steals a little cash from a Wizard. Wizard chases theif into trap. Wizard dies in trap, and theif takes everything. Wizard ressurected, Wishes for stuff back. Wish goes sour, stuff ends up underground, wizard unclothed in public. Wizard shapechanges into something scary to keep crowds away while figuring out how to get stuff back....
(2) Kibin: Though that was probably because dragons are concerned with trivial amounts of money as well, so it goes back even further...

(1) GM: Jason: ... local law enforcement has objections. Wizard realizes the foolishness of the act, and hides. Archer and our little dragon, there, make the foolish mistake of saying they are friends of wizard, and trying to prevent the constablry from finding and arresting the Wizard. Dragon and archer arrested as accomplices. Dragon sentenced to exile, archer sentenced to finding gems. Archer decides to shatter gems on finding them, and discoveres the error of his ways. Gem guardian kills archer..... we get the gem fixed....

(1) GM: Jason: And now here we are, looking for a way to make sure that guy never, ever, gets them.
