BACKGROUND:*
During the last few days after the action described in the scenario "Ghost of Lagus", the enemy that managed to break through our defense lines has been stopped and all but surrounded in a "Motti". The enemy realizing this has started to withdraw in poor order as the unit is badly mauled and dispersed. The Finnish Armoured Brigade is committing its reserve, the Battlegroup built around Jaeger Battalion 3 in order to pursuit the enemy and destroy it before it can reorganize and form good defenses.*
*
ENEMY:*
An enemy size of a battalion has been withdrawing along the main 2 roads that lead east crossing a river nearby. According to aerial reconnaissance they are thinly spread along the roads and also have some armour support. The enemy artillery is tied up trying to repel our attacks that are closing the "Motti" from north and south, so they shouldn't have any heavy support available here.*
*
OWN:*
Our BattleGroup (BG) Jaeger Battalion 3 with its main forces received the impetously waited order to attack this morning. The Jaegers jumped on their bicycles after receiving the orders from their platoon and company commanders and the battalion moved out, passing through the Battlegroups that created this breakthrough. On the flight the Brigade's SPAA Battalion (6 x Landsverk Anti II) was appointed to you to use. Also you were given the priority to use Light Artillery Battalion 14 and what is left of Heavy Artillery Battalion 3 after heavy airstrikes.*
*
Two reinforced companies will start the attack on the 2 roads, with the last one following as a reserve. The attack is to be conducted as swiftly as possible, so the Jaegers, with tank support will ride forth on their bicycles to contact, where they will quickly try to overpower the enemy encountered and allow next unit to move past them if they need to reorganize. The order of march in the companies is following: lead jaeger section as a scout, followed by lead tank that will open fire immediately if the jaegers on point are fired upon. After that comes the lead platoon main part, including MGs, with the rest of the company's attached tank platoon. Behind that comes Company CO and light mortar platoon that is used to suppress the enemy once contact is made. Close behind come the 2 other Jaeger platoons ready to flank the enemy or continue on point.*
*
MISSION:*
The BG is to destroy the enemy units along its attack route, and secure the routes. In an attack like this it's clear to everyone that casualties are inevitable, but using your assets well will lower the toll considerably!*

*
"The task of a jaeger unit in the first place is destroying the enemy. The tank supports the jaegers allowing them to engage the enemy in close combat and to destroy them. The tank does this by destroying the enemy weapon emplacements with its accurate gun fire and by keeping the enemy down with its gun and machinegun fire."*
