*
Date: July, 2010*

Battle location: East Finland*
*
Battle Type: Finland advance vs. Russia*
90 turns, large scenario*
*
Design by: Zipuli*
*
BACKGROUND:*
In this scenario you will command a full PzJaeger Battalion in attack. You will start by carefully reconnoitering where the resistance begins, trying to push your recce behind enemy lines. Your battalion uses realistic order of march, which means you will have some time for the reconnaissance before your first company arrives. With this company you should push through weak resistance and occupy a location from where your Battalion's main part (2 other companies) can be drawn into combat to push through to the objective, with the 1st company used as reserve. The landscape is typical eastern-Finnish terrain with lots of woods, wetlands, streams and some small patches of fields.*
*
ENEMY:*
Russian main attack with a mechanized division and independent mech brigade is continuing towards Kymenlaakso. The enemy has used one mech battalion size force with artillery support to cover its flank. The battalion is dispersed on a wide front, blocking all routes towards the enemy main attacking force. The flank guard has also used a good number of mines to further enhance its positions. It has no reserves available for at least 12 hours, but should be able to call in air support if alerted.*
*
OWN:*
Your 1.PzJaegerBn/Karelian Brigade has received order of attack and is on the move. Your recce platoon has just reached the battle area. In few moments the rest of the recce/covering element (ATGM-Platoon and AMOS platoon, SAM units from Brigades SAM05 Battery) will arrive. Some 20 turn behind comes the leading company, a cross-attached (with Tank Co) PzJaeger Co, along with rest of the AMOS company and combat pioneer platoon with Leopard 2R assault breacher. Some 15 turns behind comes the main assault force. This consists of the Tank Company (cross-attached), 2nd PzJaeger Company and 2nd Combat Pioneer Platoon (+Leo2R). You also have support from Brigade in form of an UAV, and artillery support from Brigade's Arty Battalion (155 K98 with HE, SM, ICM). Few recce patrols from Brigade's recce co are infiltrated into the enemy rear. You also have some support from Heavy Arty Bn 13, a corps level battalion with 152mm K89 guns, and a MLRS battery arriving in its positions sometime soon.*
*
MISSION:*
Recce/cover element:*
Reconnoiter where the enemy has its foremost units and try to find a way (even by fighting) to penetrate behind enemy lines (either ROUTE A or B, doesn't matter). Use of artillery fires to neutralize any enemy artillery units is a priority, you have the equipment to locate their positions if they fire! Cover the arriving of the 1st company.*
*
1st Company:*
Push through weak enemy resistance and enable the main attacking forces to deploy into battle in cover. After the main attack begins, prepare to be used as a reserve. Prepare also to be used as a flanking force on ROUTE B.*
*
Main Force:*
With the support of 1st Co, push arrogantly through the enemy lines and take the objectives on ROUTE A.*
*
Remember, ROUTE A is the main objective which will grant you greater amount of points. Taking ROUTE B is optional and will grant only small amount of points. Remember to keep your casualties low, especially in the reconnaissance platoon! If your sloppy leadership gets your only eyes blown off, or your battalion badly battered, then there is no way of continuing the attack into the flank of the enemy mech division. Keep your eyes on the prize!*
