BACKGROUND:*
With Finland joining NATO in 2011, the pressure towards the newbie is such, that the Finnish politicians decide to send more troops to ongoing NATO missions. To Afghanistan, operation dragging on for ages with the southern part still a all out war-zone, the Finns send a Jaeger Company equiped with the AMV APCs and infantry weapons not meant for a mere peace keeping mission. This unit works in close cooperation with the Poles in the area, also using the AMV, which they call Rosomak, or "Wolverine", a vehicle the insurgents have avoided since lately, when attacks against any moving targets have increased dramatically.*
*
MISSION:*
This morning a Polish Rosomak -armed infantry platoon was sent to a nearby village, requested by the village chief. So far the village has been on our side, but entering the village the Poles found it deserted by civilians. Alerted by this the Poles sweep the area and bump into large Al Qaeda force surrounding the town. Vastly outnumbered the platoon leader pulls back to the village and deploys for defence as he is certain the enemies have closed the road back to base. Call for reinforcements is sent and received by a Finnish/Polish unit currently en route to the Finnish base. The column is quickly diverted to save the surrounded platoon. Can they make it before the platoon is overran?*
