Most certainly, yes.

I am pretty sure we were using 1.94 in the first place . . . based on the discussion in the pages 1-3 at this thread.

I tested it, and I was indeed running CBM 1.94 as we were supposed to. The fact that some might have been running 1.92 or 1.93 might have contributed to the strange things taking place.

There is one more issue with restart.

This map has 132 land provinces and 39 sea provinces. It means 7 land nations and 2 water nations (for instance) are going to have about 20 potential provinces per player to expand.

With Serbal's dissapearance and silent going to AI we have these 9 players.

But at the moment I have a single sea nation, so I'll have some advantage over others. It is not that underwater nations tend to win MP games (and I don't think I'll do well anyway due to lack of experience with underwater ones), but still start will be unfair this way.

Maybe one of us would like to try Oceania or Atlantis to make things more even?

P.S. For more precise count it worths to take into account that 7 sea provinces are lakes far within land. As far as I remember they are not connected to ocean (no access to game to check it at the moment).

So more correct values will be 139 (132+7) vs 32 (39-7). This way two underwater nations are in somewhat worse situation than land ones, but single underwater nation still have advantages (1.5 times more provinces to expand on initial stage).

I'm not sure whether it is something significant to care about and whether warning about this issue (what will affect others decisions) + some presumed relative weakness of underwater nations in long run are enough to compensate. My duty is to point out on this issue, and I'm completely fine either if I'll be alone or with some water neighbour.

If everyone could confirm their nations, it would be nice.

Our admin raised a question on game-defining issue more than a week ago:
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showp...8&postcount=71

Then he asked confirmation in http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showp...1&postcount=94

Since the very beginning there were zero replies from dark7element and serbal.
Stattis voted for restart.

Concerning serbal: he dropped nation to AI without even notifying someone. His last forum login was "Last Activity: 09-15-12 03:41 PM". Looks like a sample of very inappropriate player behaviour degrading game quality in a whole.

But what about others?
How many ACTIVE players remain in game now?
How many open nation-slots do we have (if any) requiring recruitment?
How can Tiavals (or anybody else) conclude it if some players in team remain silent?

(I don't assert there are those who ignored these questions since I don't have full info - maybe they contacted via another means. But I assume that "?" signs at nation selection which remain for a few players in header message and lack of answers on forum are correlated.)

Ladies and gentlemen - we are struggled on almost a week around very basic and simple question - if things will go in such a non-disciplined way, this game will unlikely bring much good.
I understand if someone can't find the time to make his/her turn in late game for several days, but just a simple decision and a very few words on forum are needed here.

I'm with Chelubey here, the game needs a little push to start again. I don't think Serbal is going back, he disappeared without a word. Also, if we have slots still open, reserving a spot for a water nation seems necessary to me. 32 provinces is a lot for just one nation with no immediate competition. I would play Atlantis, but really want to play C'tis and don't have the time to test them properly these days.

Sorry I haven't been responding to the game lately. I've been busy, both with RL stuff and with the other games I've been playing. The good news is that I'm about to die in "Primordial Cake" and "Tower of Elephant" is in the final stretch, so I should be able to be more active.

I will create a pretender and submit sometime tonight.

I still want to play Agartha.

Well then, we'll be playing with the present players and changing the map, or hunting for new players.

What are your thoughts?

I'd say whichever one's faster, but I don't mind waiting a bit to get a Decent game started.
