Re: Online D&D Gaming

I have gotten an appointment this afternoon (aparently even ringing up 5 seconds after they open won't get you a morning appointment). As well as putting the game off till another time I am also going to post asking if anyone else wants to join (that is if Narf hasn't stolen all the other people interested http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif)

Edit: I'll put off the new thread until I hear what the group thinks.

Cool with me, especially tanks!! Are we going to try to pick this up tomorrow? Also what lvl are you bringing the person in as?

Probably not. It's not like I'm running an epic campaign. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I don't know if anyone is available at a different time. Would the group want anyone new to be the same level or are you opposed to someone waltzing in at the same level you all worked to get?. I imagine they would be a guard or similar posted to help the group.

Re: Online D&D Gaming

They can waltz in. But doing so would definitly look weird, outside of the duchesses' grand ball and I doubt we're going to get invited to >that< any time soon.

Rasorow November 18th, 2004 11:44 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Oh I dont know Narf, I am sure we could persuade our friend the Pally to get us an invitation :-)

Especially if we look the other way while Fyron does the "talking".

I am available Thursday (today), Friday, and Sunday at the normal times. Actually Friday I can do later as well since I dont have to get up for work.

Not this time. I'm going home for Thanksgiving and leaving my good internet connection behind. I'll still have dialup, but it blocks the only phone line in the house, so mom doesn't like it being used for long periods of time.

Randallw November 24th, 2004 09:52 PM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I woke up this morning wondering about Thanksgiving. I was hoping to start the actual mission but without Douglas it wouldn't be fair to get started. We may have to make do with some sort of one off, although I can't think what we could do.

Anyway I am (WARNING) assuming (DANGER)that we are on for Wednesday 8 EST 5 PST since there are no holidays this week?

I'm pretty sure I can make that one.

I'm getting a 160Gig HD. Then, I'm going to backup the HD's, archive it in nice 640Meg bites and stick it on CD's.

It's a good thing we had all agreed to move to Thursday/Friday, we did all agree didn't we?, because I have been told to attend an interview on Thursday afternoon (my time). I wasn't sure so I tried to get another time but there wasn't one.

I am certain I saw a AD&D book once that was about a fantasy party discovering a crashed spaceship. I can't find it however listed on the site I usually find old books.

Never played any of those.

Re: Online D&D Gaming

You're missing out.. they are old now so you will have to forgive them that, but the Wizardry and Ultima series are (in my opinion) THE all time CRPG classics and worthy of founding the CRPG hall of fame.

The older Might and Magics are also great and the Original Bard's Tale series (not that thing thats out now for the X-Box or whatever)

I had hoped to get another session in before breaking for christmas, however I have been told to paint one of our bathrooms before my sister arrives next week. So what with cleaning it and then painting I won't have time to prepare or run a session. We'll have to wait till next year.

Re: Online D&D Gaming

There are a number of reasons why I can't be certain yet. Theres Narf's problem and my sister is still visiting and I don't know exactly when she leaves.

douglas January 4th, 2005 02:01 PM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I don't know if I can make it. I'm still at home for the holidays, and I'd have to ask permission of my parents to both install OpenRPG on their computer and use it nonstop for three hours. I think they'd let me, but I'm not sure. Oh yeah, I'd have to recreate my character sheet too, unless someone has a copy of it to give me.

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I know we are anxious to get started again, however I am not going to verify a session until I can be certain that Narf can make it. We aren't many and no one new seemed interested in joining when I asked. There may come a time when we must choose to go ahead without Narf, but I am willing to allow another week.

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Theres no need to hurry. I didn't think we'd get a session so I havn't prepared, or organised for one.

Edit: If indeed Narf will be ready by next week, Rasorow is raring to go, and I can prepare if we are on, can I take this oppurtunity to hear from Douglas and Fyron who havn't spoken up yet.
