Re: Leader - LA R\'lyeh

Why don't you guys, LA Ermor and LA R'lyeh battle each another to the death or undeath in Ermors case. Then we will all be 100% certain who is the most powerful...I am fairly sure all the other nations would be ok with this.http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif

The only problem is its hard to know who to root for but come on Ashen empire you can do it... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

(It was the LA R'lyeh's massive clam spamming and teleporting that decieded it)

Yea right LOL! I can't compete with him at all in the water and my mages aren't even close to his in ability. I could run him a bit ragged on land, but I think we know who would win that in the long run....

I also understand he has NAP agreements with many of his bordering water nations... which means he is probably going to start in on the land nations soon...

The world is his smörgåsbord!

TFT - Time for Treachery.

Those water nations need to betray him, all at once, in order to prevent his victory.

I have consulted my priests and they agree that NAPs with R'lyeh have no moral force.

Intresting... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Pity the only priests with any true moral authority are those worshiping Oroboros, Prince of Primeval Depths, King of the Oceans, Prince of Water. Your priests don't happen to worship him, do they? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Oh? Well then, what do your priests say concerning R'lyeh since you are joining our conversation?

Re: Leader - LA R\'lyeh

Our priests are convinced that the Triton Kings have been, are, and allways will be the true rulers of the sea. As far as they're concerned R'lyehs options are:

1) Submission and acceptance of this undeniable fact.
2) Emigration towards lands not in the purview of the Triton Kings, i.e. dry land.
3) Stubborness and destruction

Re: Leader - LA R\'lyeh

Actually, the only graph where im more than marginally stronger than some nations, like amhazairs, is gems and thats cause he hasn't done as many voice of tiamats yet. You are only painting this "listen to me or the game is already over" scenario because i'm attacking you (and i have no way to successfully invade you either). Also to propose that the game is over at turn 20 is just ridiculous, and reminds me of some of your previous statements. Like for example how niefelheim would destroy you in 15 turns and take out several nations surrounding him before his death. Yeah, we all saw how true that scenario became.

Yep... I recall saying that... um... oh wait... I never said that. Of course the game isn't over yet. I will say that if you are left completely alone LA R'lyeh's already strong position will only get stronger.

I'm just pointing out that you are ahead in Gems, Income and Provinces and are extremely difficult to defeat because you can attack land nations at will and can retreat back to the water without fear of reprisals.

You can try an draw attention away from your very strong position and deflect it onto me, but I'm confident that most players will look at the facts and conclude that you are a much greater menace than me.

Oki maybe proposed was a bit strong wording, but you are hinting that my victory will be a cake walk if im not "checked" as you put it. I hardly see it that way.

Thats true about any nation.

Yeah...it is a water nations, they pay in other ways for that benefit.

I have never said my position is not a strong one, I have gotten of to a fine start. There are however other nations that has a gotten nice starts. Also you seem to belive in the charts as the only truth. I recently played a blood nation in a game where i was severly behind in the gem charts, but I had 600+ slaves/turn and a summoning circle (60% discount http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif). My nation was not exactly weak even if the gem chart suggested it. Basically your dark visions are a bit premature, don't you think?. I will give you one thing tho, I should have been a bit more discrete and obfuscated my strengh in better ways, but oh well tiamat is fun http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.
