Autocast darkness is very powerful, and I admit I am noticing its power now vs. Sauromatia, especially against his cavalry.

I still don't think it is drastically better than a jaguar warrior rush or niefel giant rush, but Yomi is very very good in this version of the mod. I would be okay with a nerf midgame, if that is the majority decisions. Extra weight should be given to Bwaha's opinion in this case as he is facing the brunt of yomi's strength.

One suggestion would be to give yomi a national darkness spell available at lower level and less gems. That way it would still require some research and effort, while not being too far off to be useable in repelling rush nations.

If we don't want to change mods, I would be okay with agreeing not to recruit anymore of my darkness auto-casting commanders as well.

Just to continue my thoughts on it (and I would still like to hear others thoughts...

It has always been my intention to make "light lances" which, as you may imagine, allow the bearer to cast solar brilliance.

But moreover - there are a lot of nations that have partial or full darkvision- the agarthas, atlantis, and many of these nations are among the weaker nations.

So, besides boosting yomi - this made a lot of other nations more competitive.


Bwaha: You are the second best skeleton spammer in the game. Undead are immune to darkness. Instead of building cav etc - set up skelly spammers.

It may be too late because of Yomi's size. So far, I am not inclined to nerf in this game; I am thinking of decreasing the summons by the wolf brothers by 2 or so, and inreasing the cost of the incunabulai by 100.

Sorry to be grumpy about darkness. IMO its a broken spell.

I think you may have the right line of thought with a light trinket CP. But I remember that wasn't possible with the way the game works.

I've always hated the spell 'Darkness', Its just too powerfull without a counter. (Yes I know about the spell that blinds everyone.)

Also I didn't think that you had already hit them with the nerf bat. (My Bad)...

AlpineJoe you are a gentleman, Don't modify your game, carry through and finish it. You have the position, use it.

I don't mind getting crushed quickly, It's getting crushed slowly that I don't like.

So go for broke. Enjoy your position... :up:

Did the game skip to turn 12 all of a sudden? I didn't get that turn in the mail. Would you hold the game for me if it is on turn 12?

I just sent my .2h file in, but the reply says that it's waiting on my nation (Agartha) and that everyone else has sent theirs in.

Well llama server takes some time to update.
However - if you are a turn behind, you'll have to download the latest turn, and then generate a turn. It won't accept a stale turn.
