'Tig... wasn't it Dell laptops that were reported to have problems running SEIV?

You might want to check it out before you leave Japan and throw away the receipt for you new toy.
Run a search on the forum, there was a thread Last year somewhen about a specific make of laptop a that had trouble with SEIV. It might have only applied to one particular Version of Windoze. I can't remember the details, but I'm 80% certain it was Dell. Maybe the problem even got patched out of the game. Dunno.

Does anyone remember the thread I'm talking about?

Tigga thanks Dogscoff for his sage advice profusely, buys him another beer and then pulls out his trusty cricket bat and dings Dogscoff round the bonce again screaming "that is for talking techno babble you computerised weird person!!!"

Actually, I wont be playing SEIV on the laptop - work will pay for that (well, they have to reimburse me for it) -- SEIV is on my PC back home

Anyway, it is now beddybyes for Tiggas - it is not far off midnight here in the land of the rising stomach

...Taz wanders in to Cantina wary of traps and other assorted mayhem reputed to be present. Notes the constantly changing menu and orders the cayenne pepper bananas. After a taste, also orders a LARGE mug of beer.
