Huh? What's going on? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif We used to have WAY more Posts than this! Now we are way behind the Babylon 5 thread...

Wait, this sort of thing happened a couple of times before, but nobody solved the mystery. A few months ago, there was a thread called "unsolved mysteries of the universe" or something like that, and we suddenly lost many pages of Posts. It happened again on another thread a bit later, I think it was another topic on Iraq or politics or something. Many Posts mysteriously disappeared.

There must be some problem with the message board system. Or maybe it's a hacker attack? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

What a disappointment. Many of us worked very hard to get the post count up to the #1 place, and now we have really SLIPPED down... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Keep a close eye on the B5 Mod thread. Maybe there's a certain number of Posts after which the first 2000 or so get "filed away"...

If the Posts are filed away, maybe they can be recovered somehow? But the other times that Posts have disappeared, the threads were not this big. Is the data backed up at all?

Even though all those Posts that disappeared contained nonsense, there were quite a lot of funny and entertaining stuff, it would be sad if it were gone permanently. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

In this case it wasn't the first set that got nuked. This has happened before, and thread length didn't seem to effect it then..

This is terrible. All those thousands of Posts, just gone... We lost about 7 months worth of Posts. This is a dark day, indeed. Things will never be the same again... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

&#1 Wanted - Dead or Eaten Alive: The Post Thief. &#1

It has been noted by this reporter that the dreaded Post Thief has managed to make off with THOUSANDS of Posts from this the Ever-living Name Changing Thread.

While there is currently no reliable description of the culprit, the Posts stolen can be identified by their utter uselessness.
Anyone finding such Posts should run away screaming and report the sighting.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD THESE POSTS BE READ!
Insanity or even permanent brain damage may result.

&#1 We now return you to your regularly scheduled nonsense. &#1

Man, how could this have happened? We must find and deal with whoever committed this atrocity!
