Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
*Sigh* - need to cancel at the last minute. Sorry; helping out around the house.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Excuse me while I pound my head against the keyboard.
No, I'm not blaming you. Just circumstance. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well, that didn't take as long as I feared. Kinda fun filling in for a block and tackle.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
But Narf didn't stick around. Perfectly understandable. Oh well, server closed.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Uh...According to OpenRPG, I'm in the lobby.
Or not. Just did a refresh. But you should have seen me in there. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I did, briefly, and asked if you were still there; I got no response, and a few minutes later OpenRPG registered that you had left. How non-static is your IP address? Or would you even know little details like the IP lease duration?
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
No idea - I did check in periodically and didn't see anything.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well, if you want to look it up (assuming a windows config) you can open up the command prompt (Start/Run/Command.com) and type in IpConfig /all; this will list your entire IP settings for your local machine, including the the "Lease Expires" and "Lease Obtained" times (if you go through a NAT router, then you are leasing an IP from the router, which makes them up and translates from the IP your ISP leases to you - to get the lease info on your ISP in that instance, you need to get the router's info - the method for which varies by router)
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Thanks. The lease had been obtained about 11 hours previously, so that shouldn't have been a problem.
It is possible I just missed whatever you typed; as my dad says 'If it was a snake, it woulda bit you'. I'm not the most observant person in the world. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I might be a little late.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
That's fine.
Server is up and running. Today's Random: [100d20]=(1060) |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Sorry, I didn't think it would take so long. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
My brother has to do homework on it right now, too. Sorry. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Ah well. I'll tell Jade you won't be showing at all today (potential new blood).
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well, server closed.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well, I'm sorry to Jade, then, too.
Had to help someone pick up the last of her stuff and move it. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Jack - Check your PM's.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Any character openings? I sort of miss playing since the other group broke up.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I'm thinking yes. You'd want to ask Narf, of course, but he will likely welcome you with open arms.
Also, whenever Narf doesn't feel like DMing, I sometimes run another campaign (different characters, currently at level 12), so you may want to roll up two characters, rather than one. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
A volenteer? Woohoo!
/me starts hustling Randallw to the signup station before he changes his mind. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well most importantly what time do you play. The other group stopped because I couldn't wake up for the new time. I assume you use OpenRPG.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
11:00 to 1:00 PST.
Generally we take a little longer than that, if there's still stuff to do and nobody has to go anywhere. OpenRPG, server Looney, password cheese. Jack sets up the server, since I couldn't figure that out. I was about to explain the current plot, but my mind went blank. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I think that's 5pm for me so it looks like it would work out.
EDit:that doesn't seem right. I suspect it's more like 5am. I'm at +10 and PST is -8 so it's +18. 11am + 18 hrs =5am, so It doesn't look like I can play http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I've no particular aversion to renegotiating the timeframe. Let's see... if we were to push it back three hours (2 PM PST), that would put it at 8 am for Randallw; if the figures above are accurate. Likewise, 4 would grant 3 PM and 9 AM, 5: 4 PM and 10 AM.
By the way, I'm posting this at about 10:15 pm PST, if that helps any with coversions. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Neither do I. I'm at -8 GMT and have pretty much the whole day free.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Mm. Also, daylight savings time at the moment (at least where I'm hiding), so it's GMT - 7 for the next few months.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Not that I mean to be selfish but the later the better as I have trouble getting up relatively early. I think I could try for 9am. What day is it anyway http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Tomorrow (Saturday, here), approximately ... 30 hours, 15 minutes from the time of this post, for the regularly scheduled version, if my math hasn't broken down.
And that doesn't sound selfish - few people like getting up early on their days off. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
post to determine forum time.
Edit: it's 12am here so +29= 5am, same as before. Add 4 hours and I could get up sunday morning (hopefully) |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
So that would be 3 pm Saturday, my time. Works for me; Narf?
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Um...PST? Works perfectly.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Hopefully "see" you both tomorrow.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
before I get started on my 2 characters, what way do I determine stats. Roll for them or use a number of points?.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Either. Two characters?
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
4d6 drop lowest is what we've been using.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
One for the CL 3 (almost 4) you've been running, one for the ECL 12 I've been running.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
I shall be making a ranger and a Cleric. I plan for the cleric to worship a god of war, is that ok?. I need to know what domains I can take.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
For mine, anything in the SRD is fine. I don't have the 3.5 books, just some older 3.0 ones, so the SRD is what I'm mostly referencing.
As for XP and wealth.... My game: 72,975 xp, 81,091.5 gp In Narf's game, my character currently has 5725 xp and 1963.15 gp (in money, goods, and equipment). |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Oh. Brain tired. Been doing stuff all day.
As to religeon: Your character can have whatever religeon they want. However, in-game, I will neither confirm nor deny beleifs. You can come up with a church, however, complete with building types and church people and I will gladly stea...I mean, borrow it for the game. As to characters morals, I don't want any evil characters. For domains (Or anything else), anything I have the book for. I've got the 3.5 PHB, DMG, MM 1&2, Complete Warrior, Arcane and Adventurer and a few Dungeon magazines in the 320 - 330 area. If you find it online and it's official, it's also fine. Racial alignment is right out. ----BIT OF A SPOILER---- Jack's druid is currently on a quest to help someone who's being 'pecked' to death by 'vultures'. Note the qoutes. Along to help are a universities best combat student and an expert in pools and sinkholes - Pools and sinkholes of emotion, that is. A little something I stuck in there. There. Didn't want to spoil the whole plot. |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well I'm off to bed so I can wake up in time for tomorrow. If, as happened with the other group, I don't wake up (in time http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif) I apologise.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Hmm.... my schedualed tasks started the server at 10:30 - forgot to update the time. No matter; I added a note for anyone who shows up early as to the new time - may as well leave it running.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Well, about another 20 minutes untill schedualed startup.
Edit: 10 minutes Edit2: 5 minutes, and still nobody else has show up just yet.... Edit3: 5 minutes past, and Narf and I are the only ones who have shown up so far. Hmm... |
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
YOu mean I've missed it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif, but I've woken up by 8am. Did you change the time to the one I wanted?
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Apparently a DST issue. Grr. Oh well, you are there now.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Server closed; agreed on pushing it another hour; killed two skeletons, camping in cavern.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Hmmm, didn't realize you guys were playing d&d here.... is it too late for me to join?
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
Nope. Only got two players.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit
The more the merrier.
|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit

|
Re: OT: Narf has gone looney and wants to GM.(Edit

|
