It's not about cheat protection. Those 4 pretenders are totally fine afaik, it's another llamaserver bug.

AFAIK when you switch off cheat detection, game will not try to "fix" pretenders it believes are overpowered. And it's the main risk we see now. But any buggy behaviour of the server, of course worth investigating. It's better to have flawless start for such a huge game.

The game did not fix pretenders at all afaik. They seem to be totally gone. If they were fixed, you'd have normal pretender names [hit f4] with just magic reduced.

I have heard back from at least one of the effected players. He reports that he has 0 holy points for recruiting and also no scales in his capital prov. This would seem to indicate that we have run into another server bug, as Zeldor describes.

An email has been submitted to Llamabeast about the issue and we are waiting to hear back now...

OKAY. I think I know what happened. I've just restarted the game again. Fingers crossed! I think we may be breaking some records here on the total number of times a game's started.

So, its 4th of July weekend in the states, which means I'm not near my usual computer and thus will not be able to communicate regularly with my teammate. I don't suppose we can turn the timer off until the 6th? I'll try to do my turns as quickly as possible, but as early as turn 3 communication could become critically important.

Happy to hear that this restart is finally working! :)

At the request of several players, I have postponed the turn host for 48hrs - I know that's inconvenient give that we are finally running, but this is the 4th of July weekend in the US. So it is legit that players will be travelling to see family or just generally be away.

Hopefully this will give everyone a chance to respond to the fact that the game is legitimately running now, too.

Uh. Sorry it looks like I missed the game starting. Anyway, I'll be out of town until monday, I think earcaraxe still has control over my nation though and could play until then.
