Re: Official Image Collection
Getting a "Scan line index out of range" error. I noticed in a different thread Fyron mentioned this is related to the image pack mod and being the image mod thread, wondering if anybody else has experienced this.

Re: Official Image Collection
When are you getting it, and which file?
Also, have you tried opening the minis with paint to make sure they're not corrupted? [ February 26, 2004, 14:48: Message edited by: Suicide Junkie ] |

Re: Official Image Collection
Could someone answer me one question regarding the most excellent Quadrant mod/Image Mod, installing them both into my own mod.
I have already installed the Quadrant Mod, it works accept of course no images. I installed this Mod to the TDM Mod, as I plan to use that as a base, sort of. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I downloaded all the files for the image mod, including some extra ones. Events, Planets, Combat, etc. My confusion and problems happens when I try to copy the data to my Mod folder, and it over writes the Quadrant Mod data. I must be missing something? DO I copy these data files to my default directory then? Rookie Modder here of obviously, but I am dedicated to SEIV. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif Thanks for any help you Professional Modders can give me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif [ March 04, 2004, 14:17: Message edited by: Desert Fox ] |
Re: Official Image Collection
The combat pack goes into se4\pictures\combat
The planets pack goes into se4\pictures\planets The component pack goes into se4\pictures\components ...and so on... You don't need to put a copy of the image packs into the mod folders, since they are designed to be fully backwards compatible with stock. Especially since the whole thing is 50+ megs installed, more than one copy would be expensive. |
Re: Official Image Collection
50 + megs, great mother of God, time for a bonus CD. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
|
Re: Official Image Collection
50 megs installed, not 50 megs downloaded. .bmps compresss nicely.

Here is the one more though ?, those data files for the image Mod, they go into the default SEIV folder then? Sorry I want to make sure. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif All you guys are excellent I did not expect to get so much help. Re: Official Image Collection
I was referring to the folder that contains the data files. I guess you mean they are all compatible and part of the ImageMod eye candy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Thanks again. (Silly question anyways) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Re: Official Image Collection
Eh? The Image Mod has no data files. Are you refering to the Imagemod Mod, which is a modification of the stock data files to use the Image Mod images? It is in no way required to use the Image Mod images in other mods.

Re: Official Image Collection
I am back to bug you with some more questions hopefully I can resolve this one small issue I am still having. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
Almost every warp point is not completely drawn on my screen. I say almost, because some of them show up, it is the common normal warp holes that are not complete. They are missing the color swirl pattern that is around all of them. Along with this odd thing, when I go to the battling screen sometimes, where a planet should be I see this HUGH Warp point that is incomplete. The wire frame is showing up around the edges of the unfinished WP. They are a solid blue color. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif I know it has something to do how I installed the quadrant mod and the image mod. I just have no idea what it is exactly. I hope I explained this well enough and you know the problem right off. If not then I am going to be pulling my hair out for a bit. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |
Re: Official Image Collection
It sounds to me like you are trying to use a map generated with one secttype.txt file in a mod that has a differetn secttype.txt file. A map made with stock SE4 data files trying to be used in FQM Deluxe would cause this problem.
|
Re: Official Image Collection
Oh boy... component images 1136 and 1146 are the same.
|
Re: Official Image Collection
Anybody have any idea what component images 1152, 1153, 1154, and 1142 are supposed to be?
|
Re: Official Image Collection

I will just search through all the darn files and find the one that is different I guess. I sure have no clue what is wrong. I have all the correct .txt files used for both mods FQM Deluxe and Image mod of course. The person working with me has experience modding SEIV and not able to figure it out either. Thanks though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif |

Re: Official Image Collection
" But are you using FQM Deluxe data files with that map? You must use the mod to play on a map generated with it."
I installed the FQM Deluxe in the new TDM-Modpack 3.40 beta that I am using to base my Mod on. I generate a map before I start a game to get max systems I can. What do I need to change to fix this one little problem then? "Only FQM Standard makes maps that do not require its data files to play with (so the FQM Standard maps can be used in the standard, unmodded game just fine)." I want to know how to install the deluxe Version only into my mod. I feel stupid that I am having problems like this. Sorry to keep bugging you, but I MUST HAVE FQM and Image Mod in my own Mod, it will suck otherwise. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif Thanks if you have any suggestions. I went through all the text files they seem to be in the correct place, and the correct ones. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif [ March 09, 2004, 00:47: Message edited by: Desert Fox ] |
Re: Official Image Collection
I am thinking that you generated the map with a different set of data files than you are trying to use it with. Are you using the Map Editor.
How did you combine FQM with TDM? Did you overwrite the appropriate files from FQM over the files in the new mod? |
Re: Official Image Collection
Quote:
Yes, I overwrote the files, I even added in the extra eye candy files, I tried with and without. Same little glitch. Dude, I have read everything I could find on this or I would not be bugging you at all. The odd thing, is that whenever there is a WP that can do damage, it shows up. The normal WP are the ones that do not show up. This is the real confusing thing about it. I added in the files exactly as you state in your instructions for combining the two. Got me whats wrong, my partner knows a lot about this, and she is not able to figure it out either. It does the same thing on her system. Odd thing no one else ever had this happen. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif |

Components and Facilities packs of the Image Mod have been updated. Components Pack is now at Version 23. Facilities Pack is now at Version 12. Some missing images from Star Wars Mod have been added, as well as lots of new images designed for Adamant Mod by Camulus. Currently, the only up to date mirror is the SE.net mirror:

Thanks, Fyron.
I just finished exams, and after downloading your copy of the latest, I see just everything I had lined up waiting in there already. Now to update imagemodserver... PS: imagemodserver's status.gif is at the root, not in the imagemod subfolder, which your page is trying to use. [ April 21, 2004, 02:31: Message edited by: Suicide Junkie ] |
