Re: Perpetuality -LA Atlantis
I've updated my Server Status/Rules page with the guidelines I posted earlier:
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...amp;PHPSESSID= Please refer to it if you have any questions about replacement players and PM me directly if it doesn't address your issue. I won't be responding to this topic in the forums as I consider the issue moot. |
Re: Perpetuality -LA Atlantis
My opinions, since there seem to be a lot flying around:
Frank is/was a good player and good to play with. How/when/why he leaves is his own business. IMO common courtesy just involves giving notice. Anything above that is gravy, debriefing your sub, paying back loans before leaving, etc. The presence or lack of gravy may impact future games, but it falls into the same category as bringing past treachery into future games. The new player has the onus, if a perm sub he should have a clean slate diplomacy wise. If there are outstanding NAPs or loans or favors, his actions will determine his diplomatic stance. If he doesn't pay back the loan, kill him or defame him in public. Just remember, the sub didn't make the agreements. And since this is an opinion piece, I hate treachery. That being said, I don't consider dissolving a NAP and attacking after it runs out treachery (Velusion!), just part of the game. Breaking NAPs, breaking alliances without due notice, etc... bad. |
Re: Perpetuality -LA Atlantis
And now, for something completely different: ingame events!
Hm, I was wondering why Man had kept retreating all the time, but it seems he was just waiting for LA C'tis to join in the fray. Sorry Xietor, but I'm going to have to bash in some lizard heads also - they started it this time. Anyway, nice to see at least some people do benefit from good relations with each other - wouldn't have expected to see Tomb Kings head to toe with air items. Gotta remember to trade more next time. (Just a note to anyone worrying about the rise of Agartha in the graphs: that happens when your opposition just retreats all the time. Probably trying to prove a point of some kind with that.) And remember: hostile talk out-of-character makes pandas sad. |
Re: Perpetuality -LA Atlantis
Actually, I wasn't retreating that turn, I just misjudged where you were going http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.

Re: Perpetuality -LA Atlantis
It seems I just have to wait until sunday to view your brand of SCs, then. Lots of Sleepers hanging around. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Perpetuality -LA TC
Folket (previous Ry'leh sub I believe) has supposedly agreed to take over LA TC. Once I hear back with confirmation I'll de-brief and pass along the password. Anyone have any major problem with that? |

Edit: I dont' have an objection, but I am curious if LA TC is actually going to be played as an independent power - or should we just consider him a permanent vassal of LA R'lyeh? |

(Okey, okey, I admit it. I'm going on holliday for two weeks in september. But I fully intend to return!) |

Re: Perpetuality -LA TC
Actually folket was the one who got me into dom3 - he is fully capable of playing TC without my guidance...
