Was...Until they turned Phule into an idiot, made that shy girl only afraid of men (Gee, propaganda hook, much? Plus, the books are supposed to be _Light-Hearted!_) and had the aliens worship Elvis (Despite no 'Hey! Don't those guys look just like The King?!' in the previous book). And the discovery of a whole other intelligent species the aliens had somehow missed.

Yeah, I know, it's not supposed to be analyzed...But when a formerly-dynamic leader turns into an idiot, a formerly-cute character turns into a poster-child for male abuse, and I don't really mind the elvis thing too much, but why is it that Every Single Aliens Species in the whole galaxy cannot solve the simpliest of mysteries without Human Intervention!

Sorry, but I needed to rant.

No apologies nessecary, Ranting is one of my favorite pasttimes http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif I agree the series went downhill quickly after the 2nd book, you may have noticed that Asprin adopted a Co-author at that point, and I personally suspect that Asprin had very little to do with it at that point as well, since there was quite a difference in the way charaters were presented, and even the way the company itself was refered too. Was pretty disappointed with it by then. BUT, the first 2 books are easily two of my all time favorites http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
