There's a few too many to hide, he's already up that way, and it's about a two or three hour dirve... a little late.

My sister wants to go see Narnia with me and since we're already missing one...

NPC Derrel if you want.

You were planning on retiring the Derrel in a session or two anyway, right?

Have you settled on the basic outline of your character? A swashbuckler/Duelist, I think it was?

Oh, I figured I could have him called away for, say, help in defending his mount's celestial home from a demon invasion; have him walk offscreen in a nice light show along the hero's path (the plane's strongly Lawful Good aligned, and tends to harm non-lawful-goods, so the rest of the party can't safely follow for help) and then spend most the session that you won't be attending anyway seeking out a suitable replacement... or underlining the need for a front-liner in the group.... either way....

I've got a rough work-up. I'll send it to you.

Edit: I don't think I ever addressed the mount question.

Oh, he's got one - it's a class feature - even though he's never really called it up.

Oh, and 32 point buy; you keep using 25....

And good news! He got the old brain out, but not the new one in, so he'll be away on Saturday, and I won't have someone with a lot more car-working experience to trade off with; which means we're a go for the session in... 9 1/2 hours.

Mmm... sleep....

Oooh, sleep. I was going to get into that tonight, but Battlestar Galactica was on... and I checked out Monstrous Regiment from the library again.

Dang. I think I put in the new spells already without marking them as not yet scribed. Murrrm *sea monster noise*. Anyways, here's the node .

Have fun today, and try to control Kibin's desire for knowledge... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I don't have my copy of Complete Warrior handy to check for sure, but this site matches what I remember of the Swashbuckler class. It also matches what this article on WotC's website says.

Now that I do have Complete Warrior available, here are the differences, all minor:
There is no race restriction.
There is no requirement to have Weapon Focus with a rapier, or with any weapon at all.
The Dodge Bonus interaction with the Dodge feat is worded incorrectly in a confusing and misleading way; as written on the website, it seems to say that having the Dodge feat makes the class Dodge Bonus apply to all opponents at once; according to Complete Warrior, that sentence should state only that the targets of the class ability and the feat don't have to be the same, but the bonuses stack if they are.
