What is the advantage of upgrading exactly?

Are there any serious game play issues that get modified?

Seems like 2.12 is fine for our purposes, unless it puts someone at a significant disadvantage.

Well, there is a good number of fixes (including network fixes) so you should take a look at complete list.

The thing is that some of the players may be seeing new patch, then log on to mosehansen site and see that Version there is also 2.14; making him upgrade and play the game on different Version then the rest of us without checking the forums. So, we should upgrade as soon as possible.

I suggest sending an in-game message to everyone that the game will be upgraded to 2.14 after [enter turn number here] turn so that everyone does it at the same time. That way all players will know when they need to go to next Version.

And so we've had our first casualty...Man...

Anyone care to talk about it? Who was the victor?

Me! My first MP-Kill! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Sorry, I lost the thread, which was why I didnt respond - now I am using this favourite-thread feature to stay informed...

It was indeed a dominion kill, although I conquered Man's captial castle a turn before.
Nevertheless, the kill was simply due to two things. First I got a little help from a friend and second Man's starting position was very unfortunate, but it also caused quite some casualties to my army, since at the same time of my main assault, Man easily recaptured the one adjacent province (which I had left undefended), thus causing a swift Death to all my precious routing Elephants... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/fear.gif

However, stopping and restarting a game currently appears to result in the gameslot being taken away due to the rush. *sigh*

Hey, Mister Hansen. Buy another computer or three. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Restarting shouldn't take away a slot, unless you're hit by a bug. And I wish http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Several unexpected expenses have forced me to delay such plans to winter sometime :-/

I would like an upgrade.. mostly so Jabber notification could go unbroken again. On the other hand, I'm soon dead in all probability http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Nah, I'm not gonna kill you, I'm gonna play with you for several turns as punishment for attacking me in the first place. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image.../firedevil.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Injured.gif

Basically in this game I'm abysia's meatshield. Taking your capital would just make me a bloodier slab of marignonian beef. Next time, invade the person who has something to do other than kick your butt, it increases your chance of success.

Guys, be aware that I will be out of town on Saturday, so the game may drag a bit this weekend.

So, uh, when shall we go to 2.14?

Let's reanimate a long dead horse to see it die again. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I thought we already updated to 2.14 - at least I am using the 2.14 client since a week. Mosehansen's web site says that he currently runs 2.14. Has GLACIER not been restarted meanwhile?

I don't think it has. Although I had some interesting battles going on when viewing it with 2.12, there didn't seem to be any inconsistencies.

I might have been just lucky, though. Esben, oh game- and server-owner, please illuminate us with your insights.
