Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
Hrumph. The horselords view your squabling with amusement. After the chaos caused by the brief tenure of the mad king (staling the first few turns) our empire must have appeared weak for the palid Agartha slugs attempted a sneak attack, only to find that mere infantry has no chance against the might of the horselords. As the dust kicked up by our mighty riders decended on thier capitol, the overgrown goblin lovers thought they also spied a weakend neighbor and tried to snatch the jewel of the Agartha nation away from us only to find as the slugs before them that even overgrown infantry cannot stand against the pounding hooves of our ancestrial riders. The giant king snivelingly appologized for the attempt, backing away with his tail between his legs after recieving grevious giant casualties. Asking for forgiveness, while with his next breath suggesting that lack of swift retribution would allow him to build a more serious threat for the future. Should you desire a peace after trying to snatch our prize Manuk, you must offer more than words in ransom. Your offer to mount a stiffer attack in the future is not compelling enough to stall my wrath.
Even the undead attempt an appologetic manuever into our territory! Alas Velusion, your appology and promise to remove all troops next turn is rejected as all your troops are slain. Let the lessons of these three nations serve as a warning to all the other feuding fiefdoms, the borders of T'ien Ch'i are agressively defended, and the horselords are not to be trifled with. |
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
I believe it is more likely the intervention of Abysia, who is giving the Agarthans a good beating at the moment, than the (undisputable http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif) might of your horselords that the giants are rushing away from your territory, Baalz...

Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
Okay, I'll bite. Why is it that my Harab Elders refuse to cast Summon Storm Power?
|
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
My guess would be that a storm is not going on when you try and cast it.
|
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
I've never figured out how Summon Storm Power is supposed to be useful, since there doesn't seem to be a way to predict whether a given battle will have a storm or not.

Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
Two thoughts:
You can make it rain with a low-level water spell... would that be good enough? Isn't there a high level ritual spell that will make it storm everywhere? |
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
staff of storms garuntees a storm too.
|
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
Rain does not let you cast Storm Power.
Perpetual Storm is a global echantment that makes all battles to be fought under a storm (and some other stuff too), evocation 6. There's also the battle enchantment "Storm", evocation 5. |
Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
There will not be a storm in a battle unless someone makes a storm.

Re: Random Nations , Late Era (Players Wanted)
Huh, I had thought that the random weather that showed up sometimes was sufficient. Okay, thanks for all the help, everyone.
