the mictlan-oceania alliance was artifice, a last desperate attempt to get the world involved in a war against mictlan. some people didn't want to fight you because they were more worried about r'yleh. I thought if r'yleh's enemy was mictlan's friend, it would make r'yleh look a lot less threatening. also, it would help get r'yleh involved in that war.

Well, it was a pretty good attempt then! I thought you actually believed there was an alliance. You had me fooled at least. :)

well its been a good game, the best i've ever done so far I think. It would be a shame for me to stop before i get to try out some new spells I got, but I agree that its highly unlikely for us to defeat Mictlan. And yeah I knew that the burden of time would affect mictlan the worst, too bad oceania was in such a hurry to dispell it :) (and that my second casting failed)

I don't mind if you want to continue, and try out some of your ideas. I've already submitted this turn. And we haven't heard from Pan yet, he might want to keep going too.

I'm just glad I was able to pull Oceania back from the brink, and keep from being killed by R'lyeh. :)

Baalz was right, I just don't see how Oceania can be competitive, especially vs. R'lyeh after turn ~25. Thank god I was able to hold on to an indy Lizard Shaman province, which at least kept the Mind Hunts to a minimum. But having 75% of your commanders microwaved before a battle, then having 1/2 your troops enslaved & the other 1/2 paralyzed before the end of combat turn 2 makes for some rather uncomfortable confrontations. Plus Oceania has no ability to counter raiding, and I was saddled with a truely awful pretender design (who doesn't take Cold-3 as an UW nation!?!) And Janlm's very clever & unpredictable play didn't help my cause one bit! :D

I'll second the motion to call the game a Mictlan victory.

Any objections?

No I don't object, i'm all for calling Mictlan the winner. Thanks for a good game everyone.

Very nicely played this month, R'lyeh! :D That was a big surprise with the Master Enslave trap.

I'm at least relieved that I won the other battle. Yay, go go go paralyzed Wraith Lord! :)

oh very nice, regular casaulties -176 units :)

I was trying something similar last turn, master enslave and then teleport the army out. It didn't work though, since my mage got slaughtered before he had his first turn..

I hadn't actually looked at the turn yet, god damn wraith lord... he was routed..

Immortals in positive dominion don't care about the 75%-casualty forced routing. They'll stand around forever happily ... uh... standing around? At least that's what he was doing for the majority of the battle. Go soul vortex! :)
