erm two questions. How many nations are left in this game by this turn? And can anyone suggest how long can a small and weak nation like mine survive?

Find a big nation. Ask for help. Offer to pay tribute.

Ha ha ha http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif. That's ironic advice, coming from the ruler of Midgard. Help? Midgard has certainly helped to relieve Marverni of the burden of collecting taxes in our (former) provinces.

I think the most important thing for a small nation is to try to get as much enjoyment out of being crushed as is possible. Try to do something unexpected. Go out with a bang!

I've had a few games where I capitulated to a stronger power, and I've found in those cases that the game gets pretty tedious. Fight the power. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I have to say this game has the most interested, dedicated players of any game I've been in. Less than half the alloted time has passed for this turn and only 8 players have yet to process thier turn. I think last turn autohosted after something like 18 hours. That's pretty amazing considering the amount of players.

Yeah, it's great that everyone is so into this game. Unfortunately, at this rate of autohosting, I'll have to start doing my turn in the morning before work soon. Arrgh.

We were just helping you reallocate all those wasted funds. bare chested Marverni warriors? Please! That gold would be much better spent feeding and clothing more werewolves. In the flesh of Marverni children, no less.

My eyes are blind for the wisdom in the actions of C'tis. They attacked me for the reason I did not accepted their alliance offer. I was hoping that there is a path called simply coexisting, without war or alliance. Have you ever heard of non aggression pact?

Agreed. The lizard king was first to offer me peace the moment our borders touched. I guess this is why lizards have forked tongues; so that they can tell two lies out of either side of their mouth.

Now they try to assemble a coalition to fight the nations they have attacked and betrayed? Ground lizard-men will make great face paint for our beserkers.

Let us not clump all lizards together.

MA Ctis is an honorable race, and honors all treaties to the
"T." So to my ally, and the numerous races with whom MA Ctis has NA treaties, they will all be honored, even if it results in my own demise.

We also expect races with whom we have treated to act accordingly. Oath breakers will be dealt with harshly. Unlike MA Pangaea, MA Ctis will not forgive betrayal.

The nation of Niefelheim-glorious though we may be in war against the living-are in a lot of trouble. We've attacked LA Ermor only to find that our giants, mighty and terrible against most foes, ran away in fear from Ermor's undead king! (it was heartbreaking!)

We can't produce priests fast enough, they've-obviously-got the numbers-and our breath-of-winter has little or no effect on them.

We beseach any nation which does not wish to join the ranks of the mindless undead to send aid, and join us against the ashen empire, before all is lost!

As far as our use of death and blood magic, Niefelheim understands that life is a cycle that involves death, rebirth, and-at times-sacrifice. The "demonic entities" you speak of do not trouble our people because they understand that we are of stronger stuff than you, physically, spiritually, and morally.

Do not impose your pathetic, ignorant prejudices upon the great nation of Niefelheim. We are not like you and would not want to be!

Nor would we want to be like you. It is true that life requires sacrifice, but what are you sacrificing? The lives of innocent females? That is not you sacrificing anything, that is you forcing another to sacrifice their life, and for what? To further your own power, that's what.

Did you not say this on these very forums? How is EA C'tis supposed to interpret this as anything less than an alliance? You did not say you wanted to be neutral with them, no, you said a never-ending friendship would exist between you two.

Re: Diplomacy, Dominions Style

The Bloody God stirs. The nation of Mictlan too long denying its heritage once more embraces the power locked in blood and the world trembles. With rediscovered power comes rediscovered hunger and we seek forth for fresh, hot blood to complete The Bloody God’s dismantling of the prison which binds him.

Independent forces have been most unfortunately stout as we cast out for both prey and allies, but we have managed to find both. As our rain priests seal pacts under the waves, and our other borders become secure, what do our expansion squads encounter but the barbarous Argathans driving groups of shaggy troglodytes in an effort to expand their fledgling empire. The large bodies of the Argathans will make a pleasing amount of blood, as the huge haunches of their pets sustain the hungry stomachs of our warriors. They will be the first nation piled at the foot of the holly ziggurat, perhaps supplying enough blood on their own for The Bloody God to break free and begin his plans for world domination.

Additional fortress are becoming usable, and the blood rises hotly in the veins of the Jaguar warriors as the old ways are remembered. Scores boil forth each month, hungry to blood themselves and glory the old god. We seek out further for prey and allies, for the Argathans will not sustain us for long. Who next will we encounter, and will they have enough strength to be considered as an ally, or will they be piled atop the Argathans as our next prey?

Will Midgard's spinning ever end? We have (this is the last month) a NAP with you and have honored it. So who have we betrayed? A NAP is not an alliance, I am not forced to be friendly with Midgard when they continue to consume the Eastern lands. EA C'tis has lied to no one.

The physical, spiritual, and moral might of Niefelheim remains, silly, short-sighted, stupid little gecko.

We're not fighting your kind-this should be obvious, if you'll notice your pants are not wet with piss-if your kind has even invented pants yet.

We're fighting a horde of undead, unnatural things. The only reason we even bother to address you-and we hope that some few among you can read-is because you too are alive. If such can be called "living".

We understand, though, why a coward such as is naturally spawned by your nation should hide behind meaningless words. We expect no aid from your kind, you are as generous as you are valiant. What aid could you possibly send, anyway? insects for food? Bones for our noses?

Perhaps you should ask your women-if you've bothered to teach any of them to speak-how they'll enjoy seeing their hatchlings with the flesh rotted off them, forever fighting a war that will never end?

They must be the gender blessed with the brains-poor things.

Re: Diplomacy, Dominions Style

Did you not say "Let us not clump all lizards together" referencing Midgard's accusation of EA C'tis being a betrayer? Or do you consider Sauromatia lizards?

And if you are talking about what I said about me not having any problems with MA Pangaea, I said that because Midagard claimed that they have no problems with MA or LA C'tis. I doubt Midgard borders all three of us, and I was pointing out the inanity of a nation having problems with someone they do not border, especially this early in the game.

EA C'tis is generous, just ask EA T'ien Ch'i and MA Man, two of my neighbors. Ask them how many problems I have caused for them. We, of course, will not be generous to Miefelheim. Though we realize LA Ermor is an abomination (one that we feel responsible for), we cheer for them in your war.

yes rams,

I did say lets not clump all lizards together, as i did not want any confusion since there are 3 ctis playing.

But that is not in any way an insult to either of the other 2 ctis races, i just did not want other races to think MA ctis was involved in any disputes-and it is not.

The second part of my statement referenced a statement made several pages back-and had no relation at all to Midguard's remark about EA ctis.

Sorry for any confusion.

Orders are saved on the local machine... so if you logged onto a different machine or messed with your saved game folder they will seem to "disappear". The client does not check the server for your orders - it simply uploads what it has.

Silly talking gecko. In one mouth you name Ermor an abomination, and say you will cheer for them. Your nation's decadence knows the bounds only of it's folly. Are you truly so jaded with your endlessly limited knowledge of the world that you would applaud the very death of it?

You're worse than the undead-atleast they know nothing better than the engines of their hatred.

And as far as your lack of pants are concerned, you are right. Why should you wear pants when you can be as free as the very pigs in their filth? Truly it suits you.
