Hi, just stumbled here by accident and noticed Ironhawk's note about Armageddon, wth is that and what does it do?

Kills thousands of people throughout the world via a massive earthquake. I was wondering what the hell that was.

So ... you guys are still at it? What turn is it now?

Re: Let the Ascension War End!

Nah, we are done. All that remains is to choose a winner.

Have we resolved that yet?

Well, I am clearly biased but even if I weren't where I am, I'd say just pick a single winner. Personally I hate games that end in ties. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

All that remains is for DC to record his success in the annals of the Victorious Nations thread. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I think so, yes. I was busily making the transition from being a desk jockey to self-employed. Still a work in progress (have one foot at the desk and the other at home now) -- but the heavy lifting is done.

I think you are right that a game needs victory condition other than sole survivor ... the game almost unwinnable when it gets done to two people ... kind of like Monopoly.

Alright, game over, final vote count:

Spacht: TC
Omni: Pan
IH: TC
Hoo: Either

Gromulos of TC ascends, avenging his prior incarnation the hapless Grom of Urapara. You all will be receiving your 100+ page TC citizenship applications that should take several years to approve. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

GG everyone, special thanks to IH for taking over old Mictlan. Hats off to Cleveland for proving a wily foe as usual - thank god for Undead Mastery or TC would have been overrun by manikins years ago.

I am uploading Turn 71 in case anyone wants to review - I always enjoy taking a peek at people's end game turn files.

Re: Let the Ascension War End!

DC, this is your .2h file. I think we need a .trn file in order to look at it. In addition to your password, if you have one.

Re: Let the Ascension War End!

Whoops, just swapped it for the .trn file.
No password needed.

LOL

You had every path researched! And to think you guys were afraid of me! Hahah. You had like 3x my gem income and easily 2x my research. Man alive - I'm amazed I even lasted as long as I did.

Pan's last turn. Maybe not a great representation considering I'd staled turn 69. Enjoy.

Congrats DC!

Looking over the map again, I still wonder: why did someone rename a province Pythia, but put Pythium's capital somewhere else?

Also, ah, I wish graphs could be turned on once the game was declared over. Could be pretty interesting.

Hey all,

If anyone's interested, attached is the infamous Storming of Arcoscephale.

Cheers,

Haha! This kind of pro-active work ethic is frowned upon in the TC bureaucracy. Keep it up Stay Puft and you'll be demoted to cleaning up manikin doo in the parks.

+++++++
Thanks for posting Cleveland.

And Randvek, I am guessing there might have been a mistake in where your capital ended up.

That battle wasn't funny. Stupid routing mechanics.
