<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If we make avatars sticky, (I assume by him saying make avatars sticky, he means that once somebody sets a particular avatar, that such particular avatar will stay his forever, and can't change it to another one) It'll make avatars an unnecessary feature.

It sure as heck won't be nice.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If that is what was meant... then it is a bad idea. The number of sticky threads should be kept to a minimum. Also, only threads containing very important information for the whole community should be sticky. Avatars certainly do not qualify.

There are dozens of threads that are nice for new members. Should all of them be sticky?

That is what the Important SE4 Information sticky thread is for. It has a threads section in it.

Grrrr. OK, Fyron, you've made the point. But remember, you used to have a DEG avatar yourself http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif - and Dave has put a *lot* of work into doing something to greatly improve the quality of this board for all of us. As Mac would say, "just some ideas".
