aggresive increases the chance for your ships to hit your enemy, deffensive decreases the chance for your enemy to hit your ships.
base chance to hit is 90% at range 1, 80% at 2 70% at 3. if your five squares away, you have a base chance of 50% to hit. if you have 20% aggresiveness, you have 70%. if your enemy has 10% defensive, that's 60%. i don't know how it affects units. if you don't have a treaty with another empire, even on first contact, you fight. period. as long as your ships are in the same secter. well considering that when I buy lunch (which seems to be verry often lately) I usualy get a steek and chease, and a mince and cheese pie the answer would be YES!! I ****** CRAVE the stuff! dont like the smelly sock stuff though... back to the logic: done some math ---------------------------rp cost equiv- Production............:= 1 = 75rp Research..............:= 1 = 25 Intelligence..........:= 1 = 25 Trade.................:= 1 = 25 Space Combat..........:= 1 = 100 Ground Combat.........:= 1 = 25 Happiness.............:= 1 = 25 Maintenance...........:= 1 = 50 SY Rate...............:= 1 = 25 Repair................:= 1 = 25 did some more math and found that the Warriors have a whopping +525rp! checked Jourin's stuff and it looks like he worked it out the same way... something to keep in mind though is that after you spend 20 charictoristic points on a trait it costs 100 rp, so if you want to have a race that is REALY good at something up the char trait to 20 then find a culture that ups that trait a bit more. I will have to check out Jourin's excell spreedsheet, if i can find excel around here that is...... phew... I think I have a headache...
