LOL. You know for sure your day isn't going to be good when you hear the words, "Submitted for your approval..."

It can get much worse my friend. Try this on for size: Your parents get to be 60’s and 70’s and the step mom runs off with a younger man (60’s) and files for a divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty. Pop refuses to believe what has happened so you hire him a detective. The detective lays out the hard proof and the divorce on grounds of adultery commences. Three years later, when all is said and done, no one hates the adulterous bit**, they all hate you! Step mom (with reason) Half/brothers, sister, they all think it would have blown over if you had kept out of it. No one cares that she all but cleaned Pop out!

Then the bit** files for half of a family trust which she thought was Pop’s money. A: It’s not his; he gets a portion of the income, and B: she is excluded from any benefit by an existing prenuptial agreement. 30 grand later the court agrees. As trustee, I ask for and get 300% legal fees for the bullsh** suit, as is the law in this state. I take the amount spent in legal fees and release her from the remaining obligation. Again I am the SOB of the family. The consensus is that I should have paid her off. Then she talks two of the half/siblings into trying to remove me as trustee on the grounds that by releasing her from the remainder of the judgment, I was not acting in the best interest of the trust. Well that one fell flat on its face at pre-trial.

Now she has talked two of the half/siblings into trying to break the trust! A trust that has provided for the retirement of two, soon to be three generations of my family, not to mention seen many of them through financial difficulties. So now I am in the position of protecting the trust from the actions several members of my family.

So if you think house guests are bad, just consider how bad it could get.
