Oh, 2 more favorite shows I had forgotten. They are Dr. Who and Red Dwarf, which IMO, is the funniest tv show ever made. |
Re: Top 10 Favorite Science Fiction Series
Well if we are doing books...
Anything by Niven, but mostly the Ringworld Quartet(IIRC, a new one is coming out soonish!) The Ender Quartet Foundation series Anyuthing Asimov. And although its not a series, I think it deserves mention as it is IMHO the greatest video game ever. Period. Final Fantasy VII. Rivaled only by the Marathon Trilogy and Halo. Thank you! Goodnight new york! |

Re: Top 10 Favorite Science Fiction Series
when did they screw andromeda up?
the episode with the sex-famished alien queen in the ice-cave? yes, they really did that episode. i ignored it and did something other than watch it. but other than that, it's been pretty good. [ October 21, 2003, 03:28: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |

Re: Top 10 Favorite Science Fiction Series
Odyssey 5 was cancelled? DArn, I was hoping to watch it again the next time Showtime had a free weekend. I saw the first episode, and I wished I could have seen more of it. Maybe they'll release it on DVD, as well as Jeremiah.

I gave up on the series when the evil-all-powerful-unknown-mysterious-stealthy-leathal-dark-insect-like-with-sharp-knives-that-murder-everyone-important-cept-the-main-characters aliens showed up and battled the improbable-impossible-but-it-happens-anyways-and-against-all-odds-valiantly-triumphs-over-the-uberaliens-with-a-ragtag-fleet+Andromeda. |
Re: Top 10 Favorite Science Fiction Series
despite your precise description, the sheer number of times they've won against impossible odds prevents me from figuring out which episode your refering to. where those the guys that go invisible?
anyway, they've explaned how the crew triumps against the odds. SPOILER! the purple girl can turn back time. ok, ok, maybe it is a little over the top. but they do it well. |
