despite my initial post, this is not a nonsense thread. it has an actual, concrete topic that can be talked about. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

Hrmm... one of my pet hermit crabs changed his shell. Does that count?
Oh. And my little sister moved to San Antonio for a new job.

I took some kids from my street out for the night while all the other parents handed candy out on my street.

After about 45 minutes and driving all over the better part of my town, I gave up and took them all home. I think in the whole town, maybe twenty people had setup for trick-or-treat and that was at 6:30pm!

Trick or treating is relatively new down here and besides we didn't stay home, so I don't know if any kids came around. We went to a party where we met a bunch of people my wife knew from way back when.

I went as a parent of a two year old, and had the two year old to prove it! hehe

Took my son to the same place we went Last year. The only memorial thing that happened was that we approached a house with no lights on, and there was a figure dressed in black and had a Scream mask on sitting on the porch. My wife and I were debating whether to go to the door or not when the figure stood up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif !! It scared the you know what out of my son, and he started bawling. The guy took his mask off to prove he was human, and my son finally went to him and got some candy. We went home shortly after that.

Went to an SCA party (not sanctioned, nor an official event, but around here the SCA folk throw particular kinds of parties).

Inebriated debauchery was my goal and I got over halfway there.

Fell asleep around 2300, I think (I am usually dry and was also in ketosis before the alcohol).

Woke up around 0130, party still going.

Hung out with the people who were still up.

Transitioned one-by-one and two-by-two into hanging out with the people who were getting up.

Argued politics with zealous liberals without making any enemies from around 0800 - 1200.

Went home and had a fine day.

Wait, I just remembered something that happened over the weekend. I played games with friends on Saturday, then left with some of them to have dinner. On the way, we passed a toy store that had this huge Frankenstein monster's head in the window - the classic Hollywood Version, with green skin and bolts coming out of its neck. Except that there was something oddly familiar about it... I went back and took a long look, and there it was.

It had George W. Bush's face. Weird. I wish I had a camera with me.
