Actually, I was wrong. I thought maybe it was rejecting all teh retrofits because you were doing too many at once and the total amount was more then you could afford. But I tested it out and that's not the problem.

I also tried as Slick suggested and took the original design and upgraded it to a completely new design thinking that maybe it was corrupted or something. No joy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

It's definetly reproducable, but it doesn't seem to make any sense. I have emailed the files to Aaron along with a description of what I tried to workaround it. Maybe he can fix it for the next patch if nothign else.

Maybe something similar to the trade/gift bug, maybe try to do only a few retrofits, and as Last thing of the turn? Just a weird idea...

I had this problem once a long time ago when SE4 came out. Aaron said that I had a problem with the installation (I did not get an error message) and that I should first remove than install again. I can’t remember though if I was able to pick the game up again after reinstalling or if I had to start a new one. It did fix the problem. Given that you are not working with SE4, SE4Gold and it has probably been on your hard drive for some time, but maybe it will still work in your case. Sorry I couldn’t be of much more help. Maybe if you emailed the save game file to me with info on the mod you are using (if any) I can look into it a little more, although I certainly am not an expert.

Yes, it's been installed a long time...
Retrofits worked intially in this game but not now.
The turns aren't executed on my computer but on PBW.
Geo has already looked at it and contacted MM so I'll just build new ships, no worry.
