Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
It can be done. Val had one a few years back when writing up the components of the B5 Mod.

Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
So as for the original question, turns out that I have a Version 1.12 of the program on my hard drive, so I have made it available on SE.net here.

Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
ok, thanks, i'll take a look.
uh, i got a cannot find riched32.dll at c:\windows\\desktop something like that. but there's no .dll's of any kind on my desktop. |
Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
Wow--I didn't know there was even a copy of this still in existence. My source code died a good while back--shortly after this build, in fact.
I'm guessing you don't have the riched32 dll file registered correctly. Did you run the setup.exe file, or did you just open the .cab file? Setup should properly register all dll's it installs, while simply opening and copying the files does not (although there is a manual way to do that--not sure how just offhand). There probably are a few/several bugs you'll find. Given how sporadic my code documentation was and how many possible combinations there are, I'm sure something doesn't work right. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif *briefly wonders if he has time to completely rewrite this thing, but only briefly* |
Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
i run setup.
so, it looks like that's not going to work. say, does anybody feel like writing a spreadsheet/component modder in their spare time? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif my few attempts have ended in failure. |
Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
If you are getting an error message saying riched32.dll is missing, then you might want to scan your computer for viruses. There is a worm called NIMDA which destroys your riched32.dll file. I had my computer infected by this a couple of years ago, and I got the same warning message you describe.

Re: Krsq\'s Component Modder?
nope, it's right there in C:\windows\system, 208kb.
maybe i should try putting it on the desktop. Krsqk, maybe one of those decompiler's i've heard about? [ January 31, 2004, 06:19: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |
