The conventional wisdom about D-Link is that it's actually pretty reliable, stable and easy to setup out of the box, as long as you don't try doing any kind of non-standard setup. I've seen a lot of complaints though about it from people trying to do oddball setups. Apparently once you start changing things it stops being user-friendly real quick. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Well if it starts acting screwy if you try to change the settings, then there would seem to be something wrong with it.

Well, adsl modem arrived this morning and after two very quick phone calls to the isp support line (local rate call charges and less than a minute or two on hold) I am now surfing on broadband!

Now I have to start migrating my website to my new (bigger) webspace, close my account with my old ISP and see if they'll offer redirection.

Anyone in the UK looking to go broadband- I now recommend www.plus.net - good support so far, hassle-free connection, and all for about the same money I was paying freeserve for a slow, crappy, unreliable unmetered dialup that kicked me off every three hours.

www.dogscoff.co.uk - coming soon =-)

Dogscoff, are you still looking for an answer to your wireless question or is that fixed?
