Re: Soy Bad?
That article had a lot of "bad stuff" but absent was any real facts, figures, or general proof.
I'd suspect it's just some person pushing their agenda. However, anything in large amounts can be harmful. As usual, the good 'ol balanced diet works best. |
Re: Soy Bad?
Well it was an interview more than a scientific article... there is a link to the web site for the book to be published...

Re: Soy Bad?
The site was just a promotional vehicle for her book.
To be honest, you can come up with the same scary stuff about diary products or meat, or whatever. The bigger problem is people wanting to get "healthy" and then overloading on some "healty" food/diet of their choice, i.e. low carbs (Atkins diet). Balance is the real key. I do agree that they sure put a lot of soy into food stuffs these days. Especially the fast food industry. Most places will add soy protein into their burgers/nuggets/etc. to act as a filler for meat, since soy protein provides the same kind of texture and is much cheaper. |

To DavidG:
On the fact that I am alive, healthy, and that none of my vital organs have suffered some kind of shock. To Fyron: Soy sauce, soy beans themselves, tofu, korean condiments (made with soy most of the time), and other foods. To WarDad: I'm quite virile thank you very much. |

Although if you're talking about soy milk and/or tofu meat substitutes, I have to agree with you. |
