For singleplayer you get some nice new features + a bunch of bugfixes + better AI’s (with the TDM modpack) + all the new mods. If its worth it is entirely up to how much you like the game.

If you want to test yourselves in multiplayer, SEIV classic is (almost) not an option anymore. Gold got all the action at PBW.
