Keep it up i am wondering now if a counter attack is likely or if they get the backup etc. That was quite a move on their part though.

In the Marjoram system a month had passed and the Prime Imperium fleet had finally rallied in orbit over Marjoram IX and pulled almost all of their regiments together.

The carrier wing and two regiments were still detached from the fleet however with their depleted fighter wings it was deemd unwise to place them on front line service until the replacements could arrive.

It was 04:00 IST when the first signs of trouble appeared, the 103 earth alliance warships that were in system began to move, their target was at first unknown but as the day passed it was apparent that the earther's target was the newly conquered and currently undefended Marjoram XIV unfortunately by then it was too late for the fleet to muster and intervene and so Nelson could only pray that the planetary milita's could hold out until support arrived.

Within 2 hours the earther fleet had reached Marjoram XIV and a massive landing force dropped onto the planet and quickly overwhelmed all planetary defense forces and retook the city, however they were not going to be allowed to get away with such an act and Admiral Nelson ordered his fleet to muster for a full fleet on fleet engagement, one that could change the course of the Empire's history forever...(to be continued)
