Re: OT: Anyone playing City of Heroes MMORPG?
After what I said Last night I got it today. It took me like an hour or two just to get my Avatar how I liked it. Was slightly dissapointed at writing my history. I was half way through writing when I ran out of space. I had to go back and cut out bits so I could fit a truncated history in. I've just played for 3 hours (I had to log off to let someone else use my computer) learning slowly. First mssion took ages until I discovered how to jump so I didn't need to walk around half the city. I thought you couldn't use famous characters, but I saw a "Dark Phoenix" run past me.
I have followed the development for months and ordered it the day it came out. Heres some links I've been reading. http://www.cityofheroes.com/ http://coh.warcry.com/##18214 http://coh.stratics.com/ [ May 13, 2004, 10:08: Message edited by: Randallw ] |
Re: OT: Anyone playing City of Heroes MMORPG?
That looks so. Damn. Cool.
My life would disappear in an instant though. But the comic book... in-game events will get turned into an actual motnhly comic. Incredible. Personally though I'd want to be a supervillain. Too bad the game doesn't let you.. be... oh, what's this? Urge to buy game nigh-irresistable... Super-willpower... crumbling... must... not... give in... *dogscoff collapses dramatically in a heap. Re: OT: Anyone playing City of Heroes MMORPG?
Unfortunately I just discovered I won't get the comic because I don't live in North America. Oh well, tomorrow is Comic day I'll have to ask my local store if they can get it. Either that or order from the US.

Re: OT: Anyone playing City of Heroes MMORPG?
heh, funny http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I was just about to make a topic about City of Heroes.
anyway, I have created an account and downloading the client right now. Hopefully I will meet some of you guys Online. I will most likely be on the Virtue server, having heard some good things about it. @dogscoff: Resistance is futile! Give in to the urge! Let's make a norse superteam like none has seen before http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif . How about Mead Man and his little sidekick Squid-Control-Lad http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif . On second thought, forget it. Wait for City of Villains, and I'll play one of Doc Scoff's witless goons. (only problem CoV won't be out until 2005, and we'll be busy with SE5 then). ..dumdidum... rambling on... gah, this download takes forever... [ May 14, 2004, 21:32: Message edited by: Rollo ] |

The're officially against copyrighted names and likenesses. Which probably means there ok until you get noticed.

You know, there's something I've wondered about for years.
Would a flying superhero come under the direction of air traffic control? |
Re: OT: Anyone playing City of Heroes MMORPG?
It depends. Is a man sized flying hero large enough to be detected by radar.
