Re: Shipsets...
Ah yes, the imfomus CS forums. Been there, left. The Offical Armada forums got very nasty too. At least Shrapnel monitors these forums. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif
Thanks again for the heads up. As stated, I am very sorry about the name snafoo. Gotta love live communication. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif ------------------ "We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats! Re: Shipsets...
There used to be a bit of humor that was too true to be entirely funny circulating around Usenet describing the lifecycle of a newsgroup. Started with a group of people who all had one hobby in comon, but many different points of view about it, all enjoying their variety. Over time the group gets bigger and most of the original members drift off leaving only a few old timers and a constant supply of newbies. Eventually the people get tired of the different points of view, a few flame wars break out, people start getting angry at the same question being asked for the umpteenth time that week by someone in thier first post, yadda, yadda. Eventually more talking goes on via priave e-mail than over the Usenet as the people who actually share the same view points only deal directly with eachother instead of with the group as a whole, Posts dropp off and splinter Groups form their own newsGroups. Everyone muses about the good old days.
