Sniper:

I have heard of this game, though I never played it. I can't really say if you will see something similar from us. If so, it would most probably be internally developed. We are starting to talk about out "next" game as we close in on finishing All American.

Merry Christmas!

Do you guys have someone in line to replace Richard?

Richard was special and wore alot of different hats for us (which probably explains the burnout). We won't make a decision on Richard's position and how to handle it all until after the holidays.

Merry Christmas!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">At this point, probably not. Although nothing is written in stone here.

This isnt just an ask Shrapnel games question but I'd appreciate any input from Tim or the other godlike figures:
I have been playing, commenting on and designing wargames/rpgs and the like for years and have one or two ideas that I'd like to try and make reality. Basically, how would I go about starting this process? Is it worth the slog? Can one man do most of it alone?
Thanks guys, I'd rather have a dream killed than start down another road that goes nowhere

Re: Welcome, bring us your questions...

Sniper,

Yes, it is possible for one person to create a game. Gilligames is one person (me), and several other developers for Shrapnel are one-man operations. However, even though one person can be in charge, it often takes 3rd party help to get everything done. For example, Space HoRSE has 3rd party voice talent, music, lots of programming help (mostly from internet forums), and of course, marketing and sales (Shrapnel Games). It is possible, but it isn't easy.
