Wow thanks but I have already determined that the card is the problem. Used it in another comp and within 5 min same problems started happening. The worst part is that all I have left to rely on is my old pos Rage Fury MAXX. Thanks all for the help.

It's good to see you got it figured out.

The best video card for the price available right now is the EVGA GeForce FX 5900SE, $188 over at newegg. Stay away from the GeForce FX 5200, 4mx and 5600 they are horrible cards. The 5700 isn't bad but cost just slightly less then the 5900 which blows it away. If your looking ATI the 9600xt is a decent chip, but not quite up to par with the 5700.
