Sinapus:
If I'm not mistaken, the Point Defense sound is the 'M41A1 Pulse Rifle with over and under 40mm Grenade Launcher' http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif Straight out of ALIENS. Tampa: Great job compiling and creating this sound mod. I've added quite a few of them to my collection. Talenn |

Yes, it does sound like that.
I'm to find whatever sound effects get used in some space battles in anime series. It's used in quite a few, like the opening battle in the Gundam Wing "Endless Waltz" OAV that aired on Cartoon Network awhile back. It sounds like a few different weapon sounds combined. Or maybe the original sound effect for the real Wave Motion Gun should go in? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif ------------------ -- "What do -you- want?" Re: Sound Mod 1.01 Posted
Pathfinder. Ya, the pack that I use now has all of the older voice packs rolled into one. Darn funny stuff. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Sound Mod 1.01 Posted
Hm. Maybe I should see if I can find a good soundfile of a Starfury cannon firing from the B5 series and assign it to the small depleted uranium cannon.

Re: Sound Mod 1.01 Posted
LOL,
used be a guy in Starsiege who did several Monty Python taunt packs... TOO funny... http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif BTW, nice job Tenyru and Tampa. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon10.gif [This message has been edited by pathfinder (edited 11 February 2001).] |
Re: Sound Mod 1.01 Posted
Sinapus - thanks for the catch. I was all set to upload Version 1.02 this morning, but I will have to wait until tomorrow now so that I can grab nulspc.wav from home. That is what I get for splitting it up into 5 zip files!! Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Talenn is correct about the Aliens sounds, although I modified it a lot (time, pitch, reverb, intensity, etc.) so that it would fit into the sound "time window" of the PD cannon firing. B/T/W thanks for posting those sounds Tenryu, but those are not the ones I ended up using - I will post revised pack tomorrow (and will also include the components.txt file in case you don't want to enter the names as suggested below) http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif

Re: Sound Mod 1.01 Posted
OK, Version 1.02 is posted over in the Mod/Download section. I included a patch with the new files for those of you that already downloaded Version 1.01 http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif Version 1.02 includes the following:
(1) fixes a typo in the readme.txt (2) adds two missing sounds (nulspc.wav and grdcan.wav) [note - these are not the same sounds posted by Tenryu below] (3) adds my "Components.txt" file in case you do not want to type in all the changed .wav's Later -TG [This message has been edited by Tampa_Gamer (edited 13 February 2001).] |
