A lack of X supplies means X effects randomly sprinkled on the troops, and a second sprinkle on the same troop means disease. I could be wrong, though.

They get sicker and sicker, until you find a way to cure the disease. The chance of an affliction is probably directly proportional to 1/HP, though, so a wimpy priest with a never healing wound is more likely to get afflicted than a special knight.

The Bane Venom charm works the same way except it doesn't cause disease in commander/troops (except the one it's equipped on)

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Really? Ok, I have a Black Servant that I equipped with a Bane Venom Charm and sent into enemy territory. He's been there for around 5 or so turns and now has 25703 xp and is leading the Hall. Of course he has 5 stars, but he has NEVER been in battle! So you get experience from killing population?
